Retro gaming refers to playing and collecting video games, consoles, and accessories from previous generations, typically from the 1970s to the early 2000s. This nostalgic hobby encompasses a wide range of systems, such as the Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Genesis, and original PlayStation. Enthusiasts appreciate the classic gameplay mechanics, pixelated graphics, and unique soundtracks that defined an era before modern advancements in gaming technology. Retro gaming not only celebrates the history and evolution of video games but also provides a means to preserve and experience the charm and challenge of older titles.
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) is an 8-bit home video game console developed and released by Nintendo in the 1980s. Originally launched in Japan as the Family Computer (Famicom) in 1983, it was later introduced to North America in 1985, helping to revitalize the video game industry after the crash of 1983. The NES became an iconic gaming system, featuring classic titles such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Mega Man. Known for its distinctive gray box design and cartridge-based games, the NES set industry standards for game development and home console gaming. Its controller, with a simple D-pad and two-button layout, influenced future gaming hardware. The NES remains a beloved piece of gaming history and continues to be celebrated through emulators, re-releases, and dedicated fan communities.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) is a 16-bit home video game console developed and released by Nintendo in the early 1990s. Launched in Japan as the Super Famicom in 1990 and later in North America in 1991, the SNES built upon the success of its predecessor, the NES, with improved graphics, sound, and gameplay capabilities. The console became home to some of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time, including Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, and Final Fantasy VI. With its iconic controller, featuring four face buttons and shoulder buttons, the SNES set a new standard for gamepad design. The system played a crucial role in the 16-bit console wars, competing with Sega’s Genesis, and remains one of the most beloved gaming consoles in history. Even today, the SNES continues to be celebrated through re-releases, emulation, and nostalgia-driven collections.

Never stop being who you are Brandi! (hope i spelled that right:), be yourself, everyone else is already taken.
Be who who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
The easiest thing to be in the world is you, the most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be.
Don't let them put you in that position.

Nice gaming collection 😊
Thanks so much!
Awesome video that store looks legit
It’s definitely worth checking out!
What a really smart way to display Pokemon cards on the wall!
Oh absolutely! Was different to see!
Great video today my friend!! 😃
Thanks for watching!
I had the same opinion about about the Skate or Die games when they were new
Oh true!!
I had no idea they made a pocket printer.
Woah!
New game room I wonder?
So this was driving me nuts, but in the background of where you’re filming, is that a copy of Bubble Bath Babes on the NES?
Glad to see ActRaiser covered. That’s one of my favorite all time SNES games next to Axelay. Also, don’t talk I’ll about Skate or Die 2 😅😅😅. I actually liked that better than the first game.
I did spy some WWE merch from your footage on the video of the store which caught my eye though lol, as I’m sitting here watching the Royal Rumble.
Not yet! I wish. And it is not. Hmm. I’m curious what you saw. And bahaha. 🤣 yes! They had quite a bit of stuff there. It was cool to see some of the collection pieces up high on the shelves in the store too.
Great store! I have been wanting to check them out just haven’t been down to EC at the right time. Really cool pickups all around. Actraiser is such a great game! Mad nostalgia for that one. Nice NES pickups! Are you tracking how many you have so far? I am down to under 90 for the licensed set. I am slowly picking up all the unlicensed stuff too and love how minty that Crystal Mines cart is. 👌🏼The first Skate or Die is definitely better than the 2nd. Looks like there inventory is pretty sweet! Peeped a couple of titles for the NES I need.
Oh it’s definitely worth the trip. They were super friendly there. They even pulled some games for the back. That’s how I got that Crystal Mines game. And I have to count my games. I got a bit behind other than highlighting the paper lists…you know my old school methods. Haha. Wow! You really are moving through!! 90 left?! 😮🔥
i am over thirty and I'm in tip top shape. ROTFL yeahhhh.... Oh man I want those Rug pins. I should play the game in a bit.
Yes!
Crystal mines is a knock off version of boulder dash, one of my favorite games for the NES.
Oh very interesting! I still have to play through that one too!
Crystal mines is a great game.
Yes! It’s a lot of fun!
4:15 Arent you supposed to die if you touch the monsters?.
I thought so!
Any chance of an updated look at your controller collection? 🤔❤️😊
Hmm. I’ll have to work on something. For everything or a specific system?
8:44 The Famicom version of Desert Commander is a Nazi game called Sabaku no Kitsune.
You play as the Nazi army which are on the map as swastikas BTW,when you won a match then you receive a letter of congratulations from Hitler himself.
Crazy stuff don't you think?
Woah! Thats wild!!
Are you coming to the game on expo this year on April ?
I’m not sure I’m going to make it this year! But I definitely need to come back out that way!
Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em over your left shoulder lol. That was on purpose wasn't it? How you doing Ahmer?
Bahaha! And I’m doing well. How are you?
@@GamerAhmer Good. I just got some Ikea Kallax's for my game room, and so many Japanese karaoke laserdiscs. Almost got things nice enough to start streaming again.
why is sled storm in the ps2 section of the case??
EA big games are hot and an easy sell, but it's only a $20 game??
is there something i'm missing?
edit.
Great slow pan of the case, great job!!!!!!
zooming in on the price tags.........were they sealed games? "hope so for the price"
good deal on the xbox games but I don't understand the ps2 prices?!?!
@@alaricbarber3680 Hmm I’m not sure. I did see a bunch of sealed games there too.
I’ve seen at some stores sometimes they may put some of the frequently asked about games in the case for people to easily spot them when they come in and ask about them.
The games I added were priced pretty well under eBay sold comps and pricecharting so I was happy about that!
Hey!!! I have the shirt you are wearing! Question... Are you willing to pick stuff up then I could pay you back for it?
RJ
Very cool! And depends on what? Sometimes I film things ahead of time so I’m not always sure inventory will still be at these places.
Alright First!
Let's goooo!
