  • Back in the year 2007…I got this brand-new game; it was the breakthrough in flight simulation at the time. Good ol’ Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It was my first of the genre and I became obsessed with it as soon as I installed it off of the 2 Discs it came on. Flying missions in the Cessna Skyhawk then landing over St. Maarten in a CRJ, the game blew my mind as a kid. I could fly anywhere, do anything. It was limitless. Now it’s 2020, we’ve had 1 crazy year. Most of which has been stuck inside. But back in 2019 at E3 (when it was actually held), Microsoft surprised the Flight Simulator Community with the brand-new Microsoft Flight Simulator. When I first saw that trailer, I was blown away. To have the whole world…and not just basic autogen…but the whole world with accurate buildings, trees and terrain was just crazy to think was even possible. Microsoft Flight Simulator has come a long way in its history. Ranging from the old versions on DOS to the newer generations of simulation like 2002, 2004 and X, Microsoft Flight Simulator has always had a place in my heart to be one of my favorite games of all time. I happen to own the last 3 versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator in hand. Now its August of 2020 and the new Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now……and its f***king amazing….
The game is stunning…it can be breathtaking at times. Climbing out of the clouds after flying through a storm is a crazy experience like no other in other simulators. The Volumetric Clouds are something out of this world…but the game just isn’t complete yet. It’s a fantastic start and I’m already in love with the platform. And with future updates and tweaks, this game is really going somewhere. It is one of the biggest steps in aviation simulation I have seen for a good while and I can’t wait to play it even more and see it improve as the years go on.
Thanks for Watching everyone! I hope you enjoyed my first video on the new Microsoft Flight Simulator ! Granted I can get some decent footage, expect new videos on the simulator very soon!
Game Recorded using NVIDIA Shadowplay and edited with Adobe Premiere Pro
Game is on High Settings with a few areas being downgraded to Medium
Thanks for watching and scrolling this far :)

Oh the nostalgia. I started on FS2000 many years ago and I would play FSX with my friend when I went to his house. Good times.

First of all this video style is fantastic! Might wanna turn up the mic a tad but it was good!
Now, I'm thinking about specs. My rig is good but not insane. Intel i3-9100 3.6ghz, GTX1660, 8gb RAM. So after watching this I'm getting a much better idea of how mine would run if I get it. (Btw can you record like that at 60 or lower?). Great video again, hope you and your fam are doing well!

      1. Thanks! my mic is nothing special at the moment but im saving up to get a nice Blu Mic for future videos
      2. Your specs are pretty good, 1660 is a good card for settings like mine. The only issue you may run into is RAM and internet connection. The game was using upward of 7 GB of RAM on my PC which is insane but maybe cause it has room to use some it may have used more to run the game better im not sure. Hopefully it turns out to work fairly good but Microsoft and Asobo will definitely be improving it in the future
      3. Yes Nvidia Shadowplay can record at any framerate it seems like 👍
Hope all is well and if you got any other questions or screenshots you'd like to share, feel free to join my discord server. Take care 👋

DSD Gaming unfortunately my mother has banned me from discord but otherwise I would. And yeah the 1660 is fantastic. The ram, as you said, does concern me a bit. Take care
