We took the dangerous trail on a rainy late Sept day. While I can’t say I found it hard, the footing was pretty sketchy in certain parts and the drop offs were dramatic at points. The worst part about it was that my wife’s hiking legs were not in great shape and her knees and thighs were super sore for days from prolonged downhill-walking which is not something that many people are conditioned for. I think it is for that reason, where possible, a lot of native Swiss hike up mountains and take gondolas down.
Oh wow Switzerland is breathtakingly beautiful 😩 April can’t come soon enough! I look forward to visiting when I head back to Europe for the entire month of April

Yes, that's why I recommend taking the service road instead. This upper trail is too dangerous for inexperienced hikers.
