OH wow I'm sooo impressed. What about Todd Hutchings making easy work of Irakli just a few months ago? Todd isn't much younger than John and he didn't have to go around saying he would "destroy" Irakli!
John is ranked 5th in LHW and can't defeat anyone above him in his own weight class and he thinks he can actually challenge Denis? Denis will humiliate him worse than Devon did and that was VERY bad.

@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 not through skill though, he won through attrition. That's your sign it's simply a difference of age. In the last two matches John was at press and win position for a VERY long time. In his prime John could of finished that. Great match, irskli deserved the win, but when you lose through attrition to a guy that is 34 years younger than you.. I mean, even he's not upset lol. Muscles age, they can't hold out for as long as they could when he was 30

Lol "not trying to scam the other" this is so fucking ignorant, yes they did try to get the advantage in the grip, and that's not "scamming" it's part of the competition, the fight starts at the setup, the stronger/better arm wrestler will get the better setup, you're not going to beat someone's setup if they are a better arm wrestler than you, so calling it a "scam" is moronic. They all fight for it, these 2 are just both the silent sneaky type, and they both figured they'd get the upper hand on each other. If one of them had a different way of fighting for the setup (E: A person with a long arm with lots of riser strength which specifically beats people's setups [AKA Devon]) that the other wasn't ready for, there would be necessary call outs to the ref.
In this setup they were both in their comfortable positions, meaning John's comfortable position doesn't threaten Irakli's position, and vice versa, that's why the setups were quick. That's not what happens when it's between opponents with completely different arm measurements and completely different preferable setup positions.

Even when he got position a few times he couldn't finish. John knows when to go for the pin, he's patient and calculating, that's why he did as well as this beast of Irakli. Sadly the WAF rules system rears it's ugly head. Why engin continues to use WAF rules when it's not held nearly as highly as it used to be is beyond me. The days of WAF champions being the best arm wrestlers is nearing its end. Yet organizations continue using a tournament rules set in a supermatch format! That said you can't blame irakli for taking advantage of the rules given to get the win.

@@rileyneufeld7001 Edited* I had a brainfart and was thinking you meant WAL...Im too high lol. My bad!....* Um what?? In WAF they had running fouls and if you had a running foul in a losing position the match doesn't stop. Im convinced you have no idea what you're talking about!! They need WAF rules where *Running* fouls means the match doesn't get automatically stopped like this BS garbage, cheating rule set. So in WAF if you get a running foul, like if this chump elbow fouls intentionally when he knows he's in trouble the match keeps going and for him to get a restart he would've needed to pin John to just get a restart. Go watch Devons video where he talks about how they need to adopt the running foul system of WAF which makes the most sense and is most fair. He explained the differences a little better than I can lol.

This was a masterclass. Irakli's age gave him the edge, John was able to adapt to everything he did so I'm sure Irakli will have learned from that. Overall, there may be better wars and crazier matches to watch out there (recent Arm Wars matches come to mind) but this is possibly the best overall example of the sport I can think of, certainly in recent years.
Not only was the match great, but the refereeing, the filming, the organisation, as good as it gets. Even the timing of release I think - late enough that everyone knew the result so the PPV absolutely keeps its value, but soon enough that focus hasn't switched to the next event yet. Well done Engin.
