Lol "not trying to scam the other" this is so fucking ignorant, yes they did try to get the advantage in the grip, and that's not "scamming" it's part of the competition, the fight starts at the setup, the stronger/better arm wrestler will get the better setup, you're not going to beat someone's setup if they are a better arm wrestler than you, so calling it a "scam" is moronic. They all fight for it, these 2 are just both the silent sneaky type, and they both figured they'd get the upper hand on each other. If one of them had a different way of fighting for the setup (E: A person with a long arm with lots of riser strength which specifically beats people's setups [AKA Devon]) that the other wasn't ready for, there would be necessary call outs to the ref. This is legitimately what it called as Supermatch... You can see how intense the fights by the entire rounds especially the last one... Congrats to Irakli, Goat for John....
A loss doesn't hurt the GOATS 🐐 legacy just adds to it reassuring that nobody will EVER be as dominant and more active than this man at damn near 60yrs old!! And to hang with the likes of Ongrabaev & Irakli while pulling Ongrabaev sick and dominating Ongrabaev with ease that first pull makes us wish we could get a healthier John in a rematch and to come down to the last round in this match is absolutely mind boggling!!! Big ups and respect to this true "Once In a Life Time" Athlete 💪 💥 Edit-He just built different kinda like cars used to be built tough with all steel today everything is plug into computer plastic and weak!! To see someone who's been on top level for all these decades pulling more than anyone at 58yrs old is absolutely insane just let it sink in;)
Being that I'll turn 60 myself in March I can tell you that it sure as hell doesn't get easier, but working consistently for years helps a lot. I've trained for over 45 years and know how it feels to stay fit. John is, without a doubt, the GOAT competing at the top level. Amazing.
@@ne_poli_na5776 well if he gets heavier yeah. But at this weight class he’s about as high level as it gets right now. He’s certainly closer to his prime than 58 year old brzenk out of retirement lmao
And then the elbow foul on purpose because he knew he was about to be pinned. You could see John shake his head like come on man, don’t pull that crap.
Sadly the WAF rules system rears it's ugly head. Why engin continues to use WAF rules when it's not held nearly as highly as it used to be is beyond me. The days of WAF champions being the best arm wrestlers is nearing its end. Yet organizations continue using a tournament rules set in a supermatch format! That said you can't blame irakli for taking advantage of the rules given to get the win.
@@rileyneufeld7001 Edited* I had a brainfart and was thinking you meant WAL...Im too high lol. My bad!....* Um what?? In WAF they had running fouls and if you had a running foul in a losing position the match doesn't stop. Im convinced you have no idea what you're talking about!! They need WAF rules where *Running* fouls means the match doesn't get automatically stopped like this BS garbage, cheating rule set. So in WAF if you get a running foul, like if this chump elbow fouls intentionally when he knows he's in trouble the match keeps going and for him to get a restart he would've needed to pin John to just get a restart. Go watch Devons video where he talks about how they need to adopt the running foul system of WAF which makes the most sense and is most fair. He explained the differences a little better than I can lol.
You can tell John was dominant. Should John's health be on par, John would finish this match in a goatly fashion. Impressive for John seeing his wrist control, strength, and power. Congrats to both.
John was literally feeling his heart after that first pull. The man is 59 years old, and his Cardio must have been great. Yet, he might have just felt some pressure on his heart.

@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 he didn't. He lost for lack of stamina he couldn't hold long enough, that's why he tried to finish it with the press prematurely, he knew he should bleed irakli more but he couldn't, he was too tired, at 58 yo, that's expected to happen, but John is still the goat.

Ohh man. That's some no bullshit, hardcore arm wrestling. You can see the look in Irakli when the tables changed. And Mr.John playing with experience. Damn that was fire.
This was a masterclass. Irakli's age gave him the edge, John was able to adapt to everything he did so I'm sure Irakli will have learned from that. Overall, there may be better wars and crazier matches to watch out there (recent Arm Wars matches come to mind) but this is possibly the best overall example of the sport I can think of, certainly in recent years. Not only was the match great, but the refereeing, the filming, the organisation, as good as it gets. Even the timing of release I think - late enough that everyone knew the result so the PPV absolutely keeps its value, but soon enough that focus hasn't switched to the next event yet. Well done Engin.
Not to take away anything from anyone, it was an amazing match, but I hate seeing people intentionally lift their elbows in order to escape a lost battle. Just watched this again and gotta say although Irakli did a fantastic job without those 2 intentional fouls it would have been a different outcome ,intentionally lifting your elbow because you are losing should count as a professional foul and a loss!!
I agree... this should be about strength and technique, so if a person feels the need to intentionally foul in order to win because they are losing at those two fundamentals then they should lose the round by default.
I think a restart may still be necessary in the case of not always being able to determine intent, but the restart should be in a losing position somehow... just like a free kick is favouring the side that was fouled.
@@LeahRobb No there was several intentional fouls from Irakil because he was trapped and about to lose they should have been loses actually. @@АлександрПрокофьев-е5р не думаю, просто возраст берет свое, случись эта заруба лет на 5 раньше, брзенк не заметил бы его
This is legitimately what it called as Supermatch... You can see how intense the fights by the entire rounds especially the last one...
Congrats to Irakli,
Goat for John....
Wow, what a great match. Pure sportsmanship, respect and passion. So rare nowadays, but so beautiful...
Big ups and respect to this true "Once In a Life Time" Athlete 💪 💥
Edit-He just built different kinda like cars used to be built tough with all steel today everything is plug into computer plastic and weak!! To see someone who's been on top level for all these decades pulling more than anyone at 58yrs old is absolutely insane just let it sink in;)
Richard Lupkes
Being that I'll turn 60 myself in March I can tell you that it sure as hell doesn't get easier, but working consistently for years helps a lot. I've trained for over 45 years and know how it feels to stay fit. John is, without a doubt, the GOAT competing at the top level. Amazing.
Я в шоке, Джон почти забрал матч у пикового, молодого бойца, дед лютый просто!
Этого старика Джона Брзенка так просто не взять☝
Иракли пиковый? 😂 Ему 25 лет ему до пика ещё пахать
@@ne_poli_na5776 well if he gets heavier yeah. But at this weight class he’s about as high level as it gets right now. He’s certainly closer to his prime than 58 year old brzenk out of retirement lmao
Странный матч...Джон просто поддался Ираклию в 4м раунде, ему ничего не стоили прижать руку грузина к подушке, но он отпустил её...
@@georgepoly4842 ничего не понял
4:50 John's scream as he took the hand, sent shivers down my spine
And then the elbow foul on purpose because he knew he was about to be pinned. You could see John shake his head like come on man, don’t pull that crap.
Real warriors this dudes. Amazing battle, so much joy. Respect
Great match. Thank you, Engin, for always bringing great matches.
Uncle Engin, hats of to you for another awesome event. Thank you.
4:50 Goosebumps moment as John gains hand control
And then his opponent purposely lifts his elbow to get a foul instead of being pinned. Should have been a point for John.
For reals, he was ready for the pin! Truly incredible
Congrats to both.
dominant in the hand but iraklis side pressure was more dominant
John was literally feeling his heart after that first pull. The man is 59 years old, and his Cardio must have been great. Yet, he might have just felt some pressure on his heart.
John's endurance is awful.. especially after Covid..also Irakli is phenomenal:)
Какой же Джон мощный в свои года,это феноменально!Дать такой бой Иракли,это круто!
Wow Wow Wow! What a match! Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Absolutely insane how the 58 year old GOAT had the 25 year old star wore out like that! Irakli's humility is commendable tho! This is going down in the books for sure!
So much respect between these two amazing athletes. Just so fun to see.
Tactical dominance by John but he gives a young Lion a chance to prove his heart
Phenomenal match congrats Irakli and what an outstanding Champion John
@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 he didn't. He lost for lack of stamina he couldn't hold long enough, that's why he tried to finish it with the press prematurely, he knew he should bleed irakli more but he couldn't, he was too tired, at 58 yo, that's expected to happen, but John is still the goat.
John is a legend and I was rooting for him, but my god Irakli not giving up is just inspiring. The heart needed to reverse that press in the last round is just fucking insane. Kudos to him, one of the greatest matches I've ever seen. I'm glad John didn't stay home.
That is some true class shown by this younger man. John was close to dominating this, but time respects no man! Congrats Irakli!
Но не ожидал, что Джон, так силен в свои годы✊💪
That's some insane bicep strength from Irakli to hold off John's press like that.
Right? If John couldn't press him one inch from the pad I don't know what hope many other arm wrestlers have of pressing him.
Yeah he almost shit himself try to fight Grandpa John. Todd Hutchings schooled him
@@yohohoho8412 We both know he would beat Todd now. And grandpa John destroyed Cory West who’s 200kg heavyweight.
insane wrist strength, that must have painful
His shoulder press aint all that. I mean, Todd Hutchings put Irakli down easy with straight side pressure.
Phenomenal match , John is truly something special unbelievable! Congrats to Irakli
Watching John Brzenk is amazing. You can always tell how much he loves the sport with his whole heart.
Ohh man. That's some no bullshit, hardcore arm wrestling. You can see the look in Irakli when the tables changed. And Mr.John playing with experience. Damn that was fire.
The kind of loss a man pushing 60 can be proud of, and a young man can treasure.
Win/Win - GREAT match
Match of the night 💯 Thank you John 🇺🇸 Thank you Iralki 🇬🇪 💪😊
John is a real inspiration. Whatever you aspire to achieve, john is the embodiment that of hard work
Wow that was unexpected. Fantastic match! So much respect out there during and after the match, it was truly awesome!
Not to take away anything from anyone, it was an amazing match, but I hate seeing people intentionally lift their elbows in order to escape a lost battle. I feel like the two elbow lifts saved Irakli from two potential pins. Great war though, it was an awesome match! (I know these are the rules, nevertheless, I don't like it)
Absolutely correct. John knew that first match.
@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 Biased to the bone Americans dont see that stuff with those hypocrite eyes of theirs lol...
Dsvon does worse than this
This is easily one of the best matches ive seen.. Intense all the way till the end. Amazing!
This is absolutely fantastic match!!!! John coud've won, it was sooo close. Irakli surprised everybody with his pressing ability, especially John...
Absolute respect to both of them. Both put their heart on the table and it was beautiful to watch.
This was awesome, and I loved how emotional touched irakli was winning against his idol, that was a special one for him.
Джон, как хороший коньяк, с возрастом только лучше. Несмотря на итоговый счет, победа здесь за ним. Величайший армрестлер💪
Oo yes🤩

@@sssr-ivan-kz ну странно это... всё таки они спортсмены, хотят победить, для этого и пашут на тренировках...и отдавать когда уже практически выиграл, нелогично совсем...
Of course, John has nothing else to prove in this sport. What a fantastic match to watch. Respect to both of you gentlemen.
Outstanding match! Phenomenal performance by John who’s 60 friggin years old! Irakli won with his youthful stamina. Great job by both men. Fun and exciting! And one more thing, I’m humbled by the enormous effort and dedication of these fighters. It’s a privilege to watch. 🙏🏻
How do you possibly fault John for a loss with the quality of this one??? That dude is nothing but grit and guts at this point in his walk. Respect given to Irakli for never giving up. Lots of heart to witness here on both side of the war.
This is so fkn beautiful to watch..thank you so much!!
Really great match! John showing why he's called the GOAT! RESPECT TO BOTH GUYS! SUPER STRONG!
the last round was a masterpiece congrats to both athletes
what a great match, that last round was insane and one of the best rounds ever in armwrestling history
AMAZING to watch! Some of the best arm wrestling I've seen. No BS, no dumb fouling, just perfect.
Greatest match of arm wrestling I've ever seen. John is the goat no doubt🔥♥️
What an INCREDIBLE match from these two! Irakli, you took my hero down tonight, but what a fantastic fight from the two of you! John, I love that you're still in it with the best. You're incredible.
Que luta maravilhosa, Iraki deu tudo ali no último round parabéns para ele. Mas como é legal de ver o John lutando, esse cara é demais quase 60 anos batendo de frente com muitos dos tops de hoje, lenda viva.
O véio é foda
Pra mim ele ganhou, o irakli levantou o braço todas as vezes que ia perder, e toda hora perdia o pulso
Amazing match and even more amazing sportsmanship.
That fifth round was insane!
wow man john is still on another level!.... Still is crazy how he is still solid at the wrist!!
Just watched this again and gotta say although Irakli did a fantastic job without those 2 intentional fouls it would have been a different outcome ,intentionally lifting your elbow because you are losing should count as a professional foul and a loss!!
I agree... this should be about strength and technique, so if a person feels the need to intentionally foul in order to win because they are losing at those two fundamentals then they should lose the round by default.
yeah that fucking sucks to even being accepted
Yeah, I was shocked and confused those weren't considered fouls.
If they hadn't stopped it John would have won without a doubt that kind of happened to Chaffee as well but not as much but I guess it is part of the game though it's was a great match.

Fucking crazy. An elite 25 year old that practices with Levan barely gets through a 60 year old GOAT. Amazing how great Brzenk truly is
I had to come back and watch this amazing match. How close was the pin on John's final PTW.. Congrats to Irakli. Outstanding performance warriors 💪
Irakli continues to impress me. He pushes through what other arm wrestlers would never even think of. Plenty of raw power by that young man. This was an awesome match!
come on hes only 25 yrs old in prime 😂 .
imagine john in hes 20s 😁
@@snorlax9258 No yeah I agree with you, but John has nothing to prove. He’s already done a lot in the sport.
Amazing commentary from Travis! Great idea to get him here.
Must be hard to commit to an artificial voice though.
This match really could have gone either way. Both opponents looked strong here. One of the better matches I've seen lately. Really hope their is a rematch I think it will be extremely entertaining to watch these two go at it again.
Both guys are winners. Love to see that good sportsman conduct
One of my favorite matches for sure. Two dudes with tons of strength and respect for each other. Seeing them totally forget about the win / lose and just appreciating the insane match they shared after the final round makes me smile.
I`m so happy that Irakli won that match against such legend as John is. Big hello from Georgia
Arm wrestling starts with JOHN and ends with JOHN.God made him for arm wrestling❤️❤️💪💪
Holy. Irakli won but that hand and wrist is gonna bloody hurt next few weeks. What a match!
John Brzenk es un tipazo, con casi 60 años encima y aún dando pelea en este deporte, mis respetos para el más grande de todos los tiempos.
That was truely epic! Thanks a lot
The most real sportsmanship I've ever seen
I don't care what anyone says when John growles like that it's intimidating as hell. Love watching these two, you have the Goat and the potential to be a new age John in Irakli. He just doesn't quit it is absolutely scary how much strength Irakli still had at the end.
Guys if you want to introduce someone to arm wrestling and make them interested in the sport, give a bit of context and show them this match.
These are the kind of matches that will take the sport to wider audience. When you introduce someone new to arm wrestling and they see the matches with all the long fights in the setup, arguing with referees etc. it is an instant turnoff for most.
Kudos to Irakli for his win and to John for showing us why he is the best ever to do it.
Saying Respect to Irakli and John … no bullshit arm wrestling no trash talk just plain old arm wrestling ✊!
Guys......John is 58! And he still pinned an elite 25 YO prime athelete two times, that's absolutely insane. He damn near won it too on the 4th and 5th pull it's just that he ran out of steam. You really can't blame the GOAT for that at his age. Good god what a match.
It's really amazing seeing John still competing and doing what he knows best. How does that guy make it? Congrats to both athletes, amazing sportsmanship demonstrated on both ends.
