Making a Maple Recurve Bow: Hardware Store Lumber to Bow and Arrow

I found a Maple board with long growth rings at the hardware store. I shaved it down to one ring and shaped a 2 inch wide 66” long bow. Boiled some recurves and decorated it with a painted maple leaf. 42# at 28”.
I like this bow except for the twisting in the limbs.
