Bedrock is much more optimized and runs very smoothly on low end devices while Java needs special mods to boost the fps.
thank you, this is a decision based solely on players happiness, and now days is really rare to see a company give players a fair "gift" rather than squeeze out any money they can
I'm quite concerned about the new chat reporting system, It seems a bit sudden to release this now without much communication as to why
As most people have said, java servers have been private and governed by those that run them. Taking away the final say of a server run on personal hardware takes it a bit far, and i can see why people are upset about this. I'm currently a moderator on a decently active Minecraft server and we've been doing fine with the tools we already have. If a player acts toxic or is rude to another player, we remove them from the server.
Now even though they get banned from that specific server. I don't feel its fair, nor acceptable that they get removed from the entire game they paid for, And removing access to even interact with anyone outside of their own network, or on servers they created themselves.
Most if not all people i've spoken are not in favour of this system, Worrying about getting falsely banned, by either getting framed or mass reported. Server owners themselves, who had dealt with hackers or notorious player, feel at risk by those turning the system against them.
Now besides the obvious, There are still a lot of questions i have about this,
Why is this a global change, and not a system for servers approved by Mojang or even an opt-out system? What about players building offensive things with blocks Why go for bans instead of making this a global mute for players? What will you do about server owners getting targeted by banned players? Are there systems to protect people from getting falsely banned through players modifying their reports? What about people misusing the system on anarchy or less-stricter servers?
Finally, This would be a great feature on some platforms, but for how Minecraft works, And the size of it as a community i do not see this working out in the long run.
Just dont chat in public servers its not that hard sure if your playing with a friend and dont have discord you would need to chat but in a public server theres no need

@@Chlrintruc modding is very fun, and it's simple if you just use mod launchers like gd launcher. There are thousands of mods, just look for the ones that you like.
@@Chlrintruc I like making mods for minecraft. But the opinion on whether something is fun is entirely subjective. Also, java and bedrock players can play together if the server has geysermc on it.
I love and appreciate the parallel comparison between the nice, fun, and free mods produced by dedicated modders and a market where everything costs a decent amount of money.😅
The worst stuff costs the most on the marketplace because trash creators don't know what their stuff is worth. The talented creators usually sell for more reasonable prices and actually sometimes undersell themselves.
@@swagmiredoesall Yeah, you're right. I've looked into the Marketplace a few times and saw a whole bunch of paid worlds, addons, and skin packs that could easily be remade better completely for free.
if anyone's wondering which version they should play, here are some pros and cons to each game java: + classic version of mc + can go back to older versions + larger community + more complex redstone + more complex mods + better shader packs (requires optifine) + no dlc (excluding realms) - poorly optimized - harder to understand - no crossplay - multiplayer is harder to set up bedrock: + very well optimized + ray tracing (requires strong hardware) + more intuitive + crossplay + easy multiplayer (XBOX LIIIIVE) + controller and touch support + addons (limited compared to mods) + pre-1.9 combat (unless you like 1.9 combat more) + easier to use - not designed to be a pc game (same as mobile and console versions) - more limited than java - paid dlc - limited offhand use (shields, maps, fireworks, and arrows only) - some popular java texture packs are paid on bedrock
One of the best things to take place in Minecraft. For quite a while there was controversy, and confusion. By doing this, they pretty much ended it! Awesome.
The fact that one of the two main selling points in this video is “Java can have mods and skins” and “bedrock you have to buy content” is pretty telling
It kind of ticks me off I can't make my own actual custom skin using skin editors for bedrock edition Also this only applies to PC so if you are playing bedrock on console you still can't play the other version unless you get a PC
Great thing about this trailer is. This is less about the fact that you can buy them together, and more about the benefits of both versions, if this doesn't end the Java versus bedrock debate. I don't know what will!
I like them both. Java for the mods and better redstone mechanics, bedrock for the vanilla controller support and how it runs better on lower end systems.
@@thaliacrafts407 I mainly play Java for its authentic experience (no Marketplace and free mods) but I also play Bedrock mostly for its accessibility like crossplay

Why can't we all get along, if they actually merged the 2 versions into just one version with both strengths of both Java and Bedrock, the community will stop arguing which version is better when we're all Minecraft players wanting to just play Minecraft together
It's hard to merge them. If they were, they'd have to create a completely different game or platform. The reason being that both of them are just simply too different. If you want to merge them you have to change one or the other to be like eachother. If you change both then a lot of problems will happen. For example, thousands of minecraft servers and worlds will have very broken redstone, since redstone in both games are different.
The Thing is both versions already have too many people who have basically solidified the content. Changing the content will surely cause a lot if chaos for people who already adapted and got used to it.
@@chasemorr4110 They still care about us. Sure, they do a few messups, but unlike Nintendo, Bethesda, or EA, they are quite open and bring quality content AND care about their audience. Quite a few updates are based off of mods (Horses, Pistons, Redstone, and (I think) Polar bears for example)
You both are wrong. They showed that minecraft is an amazing game no matter what version, but sometimes you need a little change, so now they are merging versions. Bedrock is a massive buggy mess merging it would end the game
@@SuperMario64isPerfect Are you sure about that? Java lags so much on low end devices. You need to install various mods to optimize it and make it smooth. The zoom abilities that players have normally comes from a mod. It isn't available in pure Minecraft Java. It is an installed mod.

@@RJGAMESHD ah I see.
I'm quite concerned about the new chat reporting system,
It seems a bit sudden to release this now without much communication as to why
As most people have said, java servers have been private and governed by those that run them.
Taking away the final say of a server run on personal hardware takes it a bit far, and i can see why people are upset about this.
I'm currently a moderator on a decently active Minecraft server and we've been doing fine with the tools we already have.
If a player acts toxic or is rude to another player, we remove them from the server.
Now even though they get banned from that specific server. I don't feel its fair, nor acceptable that they get removed from the entire game they paid for,
And removing access to even interact with anyone outside of their own network, or on servers they created themselves.
Most if not all people i've spoken are not in favour of this system,
Worrying about getting falsely banned, by either getting framed or mass reported.
Server owners themselves, who had dealt with hackers or notorious player, feel at risk by those turning the system against them.
Now besides the obvious, There are still a lot of questions i have about this,
Why is this a global change, and not a system for servers approved by Mojang or even an opt-out system?
What about players building offensive things with blocks
Why go for bans instead of making this a global mute for players?
What will you do about server owners getting targeted by banned players?
Are there systems to protect people from getting falsely banned through players modifying their reports?
What about people misusing the system on anarchy or less-stricter servers?
Finally, This would be a great feature on some platforms, but for how Minecraft works,
And the size of it as a community i do not see this working out in the long run.
Or maybe temporary ban Will do,if they don't want to remove that feature

- multiplayer is harder to set up
bedrock:
+ very well optimized
+ ray tracing (requires strong hardware)
+ more intuitive
+ crossplay
+ easy multiplayer (XBOX LIIIIVE)
+ controller and touch support
+ addons (limited compared to mods)
+ pre-1.9 combat (unless you like 1.9 combat more)
+ easier to use
- not designed to be a pc game (same as mobile and console versions)
- more limited than java
- paid dlc
- limited offhand use (shields, maps, fireworks, and arrows only)
- some popular java texture packs are paid on bedrock
