I bet his arm got tired going back & fourth, tracking the barber as he slowly walked to & fro to wipe his blade off on the paper on the counter . Why the barber didn’t attach the paper closer to where he was actually shaving I’ll never know. Work smarter not harder. Not to mention , it’s a time waster & who knows if the client has time to sit through all that back & fourth?
I think not wiping the blade "on the customer" is part of this classic style of barbering he is trying to do. But you're right, it'd be faster. But fast is not what we're aiming for here :)
