Everyone's talking about the art and music, but the scriptwriting and voice acting here is better than a lot of AAA games.

This art style is fantastic, it puts me in mind of artwork by Tim Burton, and Lanka Studios (Boxtrolls, Coraline, etc), and there's some lush world-building going on here that makes it a genuine joy to watch the story unfold! The sound design, and the voice acting, casting, and direction are really top-notch, too. Pretty cool combat mechanics. I like the music, too. Has a definite Danny Elfman/Peter McConnell vibe to it.
Agreed! I was getting STRONG Nightmare Before Christmas vibes, especially in Two-Town. Like, the guy who was all joyful and then depressed reminded me of the mayor of Halloween-town.

This game is so adorable and funny haha, some scenes like where Even and Dicey scream at each other and how the music syncs with the characters reminds me of some old cartoon skits. Think I might get it myself too ^^

I was thinking about getting this game just yesterday but the trailers looked like it's not really up to my play style and then I went on your twitch and saw this episode and it changed my mind. I'll be getting this game soon. And the style is soooo Alice Madness combined with Little Nightmares. It's gorgeous! And the story so far is amazing.
Yeah, I really wish they'd release another trailer showing off more game play than just story/cutscenes (although that trailer was pretty cool looking not gonna lie)

The woman who wrote many Swedish famous tales and stories, one being *Pippi Longstocking* which I'm sure most people know about outside of Sweden as well.

Yeah it's called pippi langstrumpf in germany it was a great show/movie can't remember if there was a life action show or just the movies and my parents read the book to me when i was a child it was great
After watching this I really wanted to play the game myself, I bought it and played for like 8 or 9 hours yesterday. It's so beautiful and I love how the narrator is his own character. It's so funny in parts too and I never heard about it before seeing this, so thank you :)

This game reminds me so much of American McGees Alice: Madness Returns. Everything from the sounds, the font of the lettering, the steampunk meets Tim Burton-esque style. I'm really interested now in getting this game now
Now I know why I like this...Its giving major Tim Burton vibes! You can find a twin for all the characters in this game in a film like Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, etc.
Not only is the art style great, but I like the story line too. It reminds me of Hunger Games, like how there are 12 districts and you are chosen to go to the games. And in this you roll the dice to see where you will go. When Odd first rolled the dice, she landed on 1 and that's why the family looked relieved because she would stay in OneCroft with them. But as the narrator said, she would be a Sixer and live with the Queen. I think the concept for a world like that is a cool idea.

It's kind of funny. The Merchant seems like a cartoon version of the creepy Baron in REsident Evil Village. And the voices of the characters. I wonder if they hired the same people who voiced Plague Requiem. Haha!
That combat system is so unique. I've been looking for games with unique fighting mechanics and I'm totally gonna get this! Maybe even try to convince my boyfriend to get it, I feel like he'd enjoy it too.

The dialogue is hilarious! I'm not a huge fan of the combat, unique as it is, but the story and characters are more than interesting enough to keep me hooked.

Comes from Ancient Greek for 20 and hedron from seat which means it’s 3D (other wise it would be icosagon for 2d)
This is specifically a regular geometric icosahedron that are used for dices, the great icosahedron is used for 3d stars like the sugar star bits in Mario galaxy.
Royam is officially my favorite character. While he may be bad and a total villain, I find his character design and voice will make a killing. Though he's slightly spooky and strangely wants to rhyme, I find that while listening to him I have a great time. Oh shit..Now I'm rhyming...
Good thing you don't live in Two-Town, else your own thoughts might be made manifest into a bad reflection of the bad parts of the self, like Royam there.
This game has a number of memorable characters to offer besides Royam, however! I especially recommend looking up the song Roll That Dicey that was made for Fourburg-- after you have seen what transpires there yourself, of course. Spoilers suck.
