    kinda hate how all the new gaming monitors are OLED
    nothing for the grown up occasional gamer who does work/productivity 90% of the time but still wants to enjoy the 10% gaming time ;o]

      I feel that is more true for ultrawide's than 16:9 monitors. The Samsung mini led super ultrawide monster is still coming but it will likely be outrageously expensive.

    At least one 1600p Ultrawide, we really need a great Mini LED display in this size.

    For the new LG Oled monitors that are due for production Q1 2024 I am assuming we should see the models at CES then correct ?

    Yes please. I hope that rumored 38" LG panel is real.
    It's been 3 years since the last 38" panel monitors have come out and I can't justify spending $1k on a monitor that old.
    Any other details on that one?

      not really any more details you can see my source article here: tftcentral.co.uk/news/lg-display-latest-lcd-panel-development-plans-march-2023

      @@ultrawidetechchannel Ah I see. And since it's IPS Black it probably tops out at 60Hz. Well, the waiting continues.

    Hi. Can I find a video on your channel showing VRAM allocation and consumption at 3440x1440 resolution?

    • @ultrawidetechchannel
      @ultrawidetechchannel  Год назад +1

      I don't have a video specifically covering that for all the games I've tested. There are some videos where I cover it specifically. Like in the cyberpunk path tacing video, but in general the 12 GB cards do well and won't run into any issues at anything below the 5120x1440 resolution. But even at that resolution, if you turn on DLSS it pretty much fixes all the problems that you run into from only having 12 gigabytes.

      @@ultrawidetechchannel Thank you for your answer. Do you think NVIDIA will refresh this generation and release Super versions?
      It seems to me that many users would like to see an RTX 4070 Ti with 16GB VRAM and a larger memory bus, or an RTX 4080 with more than 16GB.

      @@Gabriel-bt6erit's unlikely you're gonna max 16gb this generation. People are paranoid because how fast 8gb went outdated but that was because the new console generation. If you have more then a console you'll be more then fine for vram this generation. My 4090 has never used more then 13gb of vram and disabling RT dropped that by 4gb. You'll be fine with 16gb until ps6 and xbox. As for 16gb 4070ti that exists lol. It's called the 7900xt. The xtx also exists if you want 4080 performance with 24gb of vram but I really wouldn't worry about it cause next consoles are gonna be at the end of the decade

    • @ultrawidetechchannel
      @ultrawidetechchannel  Год назад +2

      For that I think a lot will come down to do you fancy more than 120hz, and would having a lower resolution help you achieve that frame rate

      @@ultrawidetechchannel 120hz is probably the sweet spot for me, resolution is a little more important to me. If I get a TV that'll probably get mounted to the wall above my monitors, whereas if I get an ultrawide it would have to replace probably both of my existing monitors.
