Wonderful question! I think it depends on the situation. If you have clients traveling & something goes wrong while you are also on vacation, you should be assisting them yourself as you are their travel agent. I usually try to coordinate around my clients vacations so I am available during their trip in case I am needed. If it is for planning for a future trip, I would send a message out to your clients a week prior to your trip & let them know you will be traveling & have minimal access to your computer. If they have any questions, they can ask you prior to your trip otherwise you will be returning at xyz date. You can also have colleagues cover for you if needed but usually, I try to get things taken care of before my own travels. I hope that helps! 🦋

They are mostly families planning their own vacations however, it is heavily saturated with travel agents… It’s like a cutthroat society people try so hard
I can so see how it feel like this is real! Here's the thing - travel agents aren't competing with other travel agents.. they are competing against the big box stores, booking direct, and online booking engines. We teach our students how to create content that helps them be seen as the professionals that they are, and that helps them find clients. Online marketing is definitely one way to find clients, but there are so many other ways - networking in your community, showing up to vendor events, are both other ways to get started! If you're passionate about travel - Disney in particular - I encourage you to take a look at it again! We see people do it successfully each and every day!
