When I thought I've listened everything from CT, I have discovered they made song for the Judge Dredd Film from the 90's, really surreal

You know whats even worse? Well Stallone had all the right attributes to be comic book accurate Judge Dredd. Yet for whatever they fucked whole movie up. 🤔

Heck, had they done Judge Dredd right In 1995. Sylvester Stallone would have made 15 year career out of Judge Dredd. And at least 5 sequels. 🤔

I don't object to Cocteau Twins lyric videos per se but I do think they should come with the disclaimer that they are not official Elizabeth Fraser sanctioned lyrics lest people think that these are the actual lyrics.

I really don't like this. It's a more commercial approach to their work that sits awkwardly with their abstruse, ethereal aesthetic. I'm enjoying the various overdubs of guitar, exploiting different sounds, as I always do, but the repetitive synth rhythms and R and B style drum machine are at odds with the vocals/guitars. From your text it seems it was written for a soundtrack so it probably works well with the film. I'm always a bit cautious about literal interpretations of Liz Frazer's lyrics as she used a lot of invented words (neologisms); a poetic use of language. If that sounds scathing, it's not meant to be. Thanks for sharing, it's an interesting listen. The CT's in the 90's always leave me feeling ambivalent, some of it is great other tracks are more commercial (Frosty the Snowman is an awkward, if fun listen) and their attempt to recapture earlier sounds in "Milk and Kisses" never really worked that well. There are a couple of exceptions to my statement. I enjoyed their music up until "Four Calendar Cafe" and then had to wait until Robin Guthrie went solo to feel inspired by any of the trio's work.
