Can you point to any video examples of Angelina playing up near the fretboard? Just curious as I've never seen her play up near the fretboard and I used to take lessons from her. It would be a difficult way to play trad music on the tenor banjo as well I would think.

@OldPunkWithAMandolin I was told that was how she achieved that woody tone she gets, never seen any other videos just have a cd
