Steven lavimoniere , recently did some work in my sons house on a gas boil. We had once before had some work at my son’s house. he replaced the pressure release valve and expansion tank. I would highly recommend him. He does very good work. I give him five stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steven, I’ve been watching you for 3 years now and one thing I noticed is that you never promote your channel 🤔 You just put your videos out and never ask for likes, comments, share, and subscribe and buy my merchandise. Thanks Steven 👍 Let’s all get Steven to 200K
I think My Oil Furnace had a 175 on it and it was a Small 2 bedroom house, but very little Insulation. I don't live there now, so it is somebody else's problem now.
I put in two Utica macs heat house and hot water 💦 96 percent. Eco pump etc . Had two call backs. Utica is giving us a new boiler cause they want the old one back two years old old hwh heat exchanger leaking. But I think it’s not designed to go down bumpy roads. If you can’t trust Utica? Go back to steam boilers when it was simple
Utica is standing behind their equipment they are giving us a new boiler. But they want old won bac😢so they can test it cause it’s never happened before. I’m jack blink. Them Utica macs are game changers if they simplified exhaust
Is there a boiler manufacturer or new model that has minimal electronics. My 50's boiler has been chugging along for years with regular service and minimal repairs.
I have a well holding tank that had no pressure 5 years ago and the well guy told me I'd need a new one soon but he added some air to get me by. Fast forward 5 years and I've added air about once every two years and it's still working fine. No leaks. The bladder inside is still good. Still works fine.
Its because the water well guys know which direction to mount the damn tank bladder at the top so you can add air to it to push the water out of it.Of course it will work just check the air pressure occasionally.. @@PianoRevisited
@@paulroggemann1017 What I mean is the tank is WORKNG FINE as long as I add air once every year or two. You are right that it is not perfect. The well water holding tank has two components: the tank itself which holds air and maintains a certain pressure on the bladder inside. The bladder holds about 12 gallons of water. The bladder emptying slowly spares the pump from cycling on and off constantly. Having had these well tanks for over 40 years I know what the signs of a bad one are including rapidly fluctuating water pressure when taking a shower. There are two fatal flaws that would necessitate replacing the tank. If the bladder develops a leak then water will leak out filling the metal tank ( no hollow sound when tapping on it ) the bladder would collapse and you'd get the rapid pump cycling. Also the tank would likely leak shortly,. Also if the tank had a large enough air leak that it could not maintain pressure on the bladder then replacement would be needed. In my case, the air leak from the tank is so slow/small that adding some air once every year or two maintains enough pressure so that everything operates FINE. I'd compare it to a tire that you need to add some air to once a year to maintain the proper pressure. Would you replace the tire if everything else about it was fine ? I wouldn't.

i am a retired stationary engineer and watch your videos often .I notice all the time that the new HVAC guys continue to mount these expansion tanks upside down with a vent at the top ???? Worst design ever! if the bladder gets a slow leak all the air goes right out the vent .If it was turned the other way it wouldn't even need a bladder the air would be contained at the top of the tank. If the bladder did go bad you could just add air to the top of the tank and it would push the water out. The tank manufacturers must love this mounting method they are selling new tanks all the time . If you look at UK sites it shows these tanks mounted the other way connection at the bottom. I guess they may be smarter than us .

Great Video. Thank you for sharing
Funny how the customer would NOT stop yammering when Steven tried to tell him about cleaning the chimney.
Another kick ass video Steve, remain safe and keep the videos coming ☝️ 👍 💥 👌 🫵

That was funny 😂😂😂
I believe he said, “Get that shit the hell outta here so I can work.” 😂
Wouldn't be surprised if there was a dead bird or two at that clean out door.
Howdy Steve and Molly

What type of camera do you use
I share your videos with my employees to show them that not everyone sands flame sencers all day
Expansion tanks are a dime a dozen you better have one on your truck all three versions the dreaded fill valve combo. Nothing lasts anymore.
You Are Very good 💯😊
I've always had gas furnaces, can't make sense of these boilers.
Just seen a grundfos 1.5 hp boiler pump shorted to ground. 4 yrs old. Our cost is 3,000.00 . I asked grundfos about there warranty. I’m still waiting.

Steam is simple if you have power pile ingenious system you don’t need power. Fire is the power.

How many things can vent into one chimney
Hi Steven UK regs state you should not fit an isolation valve on expansion vessel pipe .
It’s above the pressure relief valve, or should I say down stream of it.
I think that tank might be an old beer keg ........😅
lmao was thinking that too
Can you not re charge the vessel with a pump or is it not worth it

could be leaking out the schrader valve
Steve are you in a hurry to get to 2029 you almost baby boo boo
that brand tank has issues
3 years doesn’t seem very long for an expansion tank. Mines like 20 years old and still good.
The other tank was 3 years old, the one he replaced looks much older.

👍 a steam engine has a boiler, a hot water heater, they don't call that a boiler.
