The F80's more of a for me project. I know people don't relate. I guess what surprises me is that people have seen my style of built not bought. but still don't believe me when I tell them the F80 is a better car by far than what I could build for the money. Those cars have changed my outlook

It's funny I was talking to someone about my parents music after going down a nostalgia rabbit hole on one of the drift week drives. like CS and Alanis moresette And just now realized they were hip and listening to current stuff back then vs stuff they grew up with. Where as a lot of my friends parents were listening to stuff from their teenage years.
These are my favorite builds. Semi sorted, lol just good enough to thrash.
@taylorraydrifts I think it's missing due to injectors - they're bigger for the turbo setup and the lower usage you ask of injectors the less precise they are - maybe a clean would help- love the e36 content already!
Or just grab some pink tops! Stock power car doesn't need overkill injectors.
After following the car for a week or so with Chelsea at the compound, watching you "bring it back to life" is so cool. Looking forward to watching you guys thrash it.

Hey taylor, if you want to idle leaner turn on "idle ignition control" and target like 10-12 DEGREES at idle and it should idle smooth with a leaner AFR

Street driving a 'race, drag, drift' car is a good insight into the actual feel of the car. How the shifter feels, brakes, cooling system all the actual mechanical systems get put to the test.
A buddy of mine learned about that tag situation just like you did. The cop told him, you are better off not having a tag at all, vs putting a tag registered to a different car on it. Glad ro hear you didn't get any trouble for it. All comes down to which cop pulls you over for it most the time.
Had a friend who ran out of gas on a test drive of his longtime project. He was pushing the car with some buddies and got arrested for the bad tag. Happened when I was 16, so I’ve always been aware of it. I don’t think most people in Florida are aware how serious it is.
The E36 will forever be a timeless design and chassis.
As a person that enjoys welding.... you should watch Steve morris's video where he visits a specialist welder..... very techy but very interesting too!!
tip for welding up cracked wheels find the end of the of the crack and drill a hole there to reduce the chance of it cracking again.

Looks really good. Love the simple fixes to make it look like a street car again. So you're going to put crash bars and some frame supports before you thrash it again? IDK.... I can see you tearing it up before the crash bars are installed for sure. Either way... looks like a ton of fun.
E36 coupe windows bump up to lock in when the door is closed. And drop a bit when you open the door. Since you hotwired them with a cordless batt they went full up.

I recently gave up my nice modern fwd car for an older bmw.
It produces all kind of noises and smells and you have to ask it nicely to get to where you're going but at least you feel something driving it.
it might sometimes be a weird vibration or a general fear for your safety, but it's something more than nothing.
Call it an early midlife crisis if you must put a label on it but people enjoy different things not always being able to explain it.

Should have drilled the tip of the crack to relieve the stress before welding. The crack can still spread after welding.
I think that 350 was how I found your channel - I think you let Garret drive it or something, seems like the lower control arm snapped or something? I can't remember if I'd just found you, or if that's the video that put me onto this channel

Same with me. Cleetus straight up Garza'd that 350 into the wall within 30 seconds of getting behind the wheel. It was almost funny until you saw how hard it was to load that thing up on the trailer afterwards. I watched Taylor's next video of dealing with the damage, and haven't missed one since.

The angle that thing has is nuts
With cracks but especially aluminium cracks you need to drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading even if you weld over it will come back

the rim is going to crack again i'm sure your weld is good but you need to drill the crack to stop it from reforming where it stoped
Wonder if the plugs are still gapped really tight for the boost setup and that’s what’s causing it to miss when you lean it out a bit at idle

KBD is polyurethane! And on top of them being indestructible, if you do happen to to rip one, rub a hole through one, or poke a hole in them from like a bash bar or something, they have a lifetime warranty and you’ll get a replacement. KBD IS A GAMECHANGER!
