Another showcase of this "warmth" of the Abyss was Takamine, the original wielder of the Mistsplitter and Thunderous Fury. He managed to defeat many abyssal creatures with his sword but the weapon eventually broke and fell into the darkness. However, he managed to retain his humanity due remembering his promise with Asase Hibiki and decided to return to fullfil that promise. However, Takamine didn't realize a that he became an monster himself and was unaware of the pass of time. Which he meet Hibiki again, but she appeared more older than him, ended him with his arrow. It's important to note that Abyss twist the person's perception of reality, and doesn't make you evil - but rather, boost your emotions to an high level. The reason why Dvalin was attacking Mondstadt is because the citizens forgot about Barbatos and the Abyss Order took advantage of that mental instability. The same could be said about Chiyo, who managed to kill a beast of sin from within but the corruption took control of her and attacked Raiden Ei.
The dragon Durin attacked Mondstadt and fought Dvalin, but in his POV he was just dancing and playing with Dvalin. He only realized the truth in the moment Dvalin pierced his throath, killing him
Again (and Ashikai gets this wrong too) the "voice" is heard by the traveler and sibling but is NOT addressing them ("Why do you bow down?"). It is addressing Chlothar.
Well given that it's a memory, the traveller is walking through; the abyss sibling COULD have been bowing to the sinner the traveller could very well just not seen that in the memory, which we know is true anyway as you ONLY see the abyss sibling in the mirror. So I actually dont think they're wrong at all.
first, don't stress out - the video was as good as the others, you weren't really messy or anything. second, you said that the abyss dont have a power of dendro, and yeah, we don't have any mage with dendro shield or abyss herald,.but we have one enemy with the hilicurls that is dendro, it spawns these vines. what about him? also I think this particular thing may be just because of the dendro element haven't been introduced to the game for some time. anyways, great video!
I did think about the samachurl guy, but hilichurls aren't necessarily part of the Abyss Order. Mages/Heralds were likely influenced by Abyssal power, while the churls were cursed by Celestia.
I'm leaning more towards Irmin however one thought that crossed my mind after the recent patch trailer is, what if one of the seven sovereigns is the Sinner? Maybe specifically the former ruler of Mondstadt. Its never said that they were killed, just vanquished which means there might actually be quite a few that have survived. Kokomi is theorized to be the reincarnation of a dragon so that would make her the dragon of Inazuma, Azhdaha was found by Zhongli but there's also a theory that Zhongli himself might have been one of the soverigns (there was no change to his character story when Rukka was erased) , and Apep is possibly the dragon king of Sumeru. Which leaves Mondstadt, Dvalin was born after Venti however maybe thats how succession works with them, the newly born dragon becomes the next king. On that note Venti might have been created by Istaroth and she also ruled Mondstadt, there's also the statue that says 'gateway to Celestia'. So if the Sinner is a former dragon lord then maybe that's why they mess with Mondstadt specifically instead of Sumeru which was close to Khaenriah, they're targeting an archon that seems to have a close relationship with one of the shades. However this is just a random thought that popped up in my head, I'm not quite sure if it works.
I could be remembering incorrectly but I believe Nahida referred to the forbidden knowledge infecting the world tree as Abyssal knowledge. If this recollection is correct then it does potentially explain how the Abyss was able to insert the knowledge of the Traveler's twin into the world tree. To which it would only stand to benefit seeing as how that twin supports the Abyss. This would prolly aide in it's efforts to further corrupt the world tree. There is still the problem of the Hexencircle though. As they have shown that their abilities make them probably tied to Irminsul and Teyvat at large in a manner that resembles more of an Archon rather than a mortal. As they not only sensed the Traveler. But has aided them well before actually revealing themselves. This suggests they are really adept at scrying. But more on that later. I'm still convinced that Venti isn't the weakest of the Archons by a long shot. It's a recurring theme with the air element. On the surface it appears weak. And by itself it sorta is. But it's mechanics make it one of the most broken in the game when paired with another element. It's also a running theme with Venti. As he is prone to tell half truths. And it has been the air element that has protected the traveler time and time again. And even periodically negates some of the damage the traveler sustains in battle regardless of which element they're using. (Though canonically I suppose they are able to use all 4 they have gathered thus far) He's now the current oldest Archon of the 7 Archons if I remember correctly and one of the last of the original 7. Meaning he's prolly more aware of the Abyss than any of the other Archons. And he's already demonstrated his ability to detect scrying magic with the windblume event from Mona. Which has been demonstrated time and time again as being the preferred method of the Abyss to gather sensitive information. Though I feel like he let his gnosis go intentionally go tbh. As it was shown by Yae that Ei at least was finished with Celestia and wanted to sever ties with it. So it's not far fetched to think Venti would as well. Him getting "knocked out" would allow him to spare the Traveler as the Fatui would have no longer any business there. It would also sever his ties to Celestia and simultaneously make us believe his earlier potential half truth about him being the weakest Archon. My bet is that both the Hexencircle and Venti will prolly play a very outsized role on the balance between the Abyss and Celestia tbh. And the twin Travelers will be key to this all in prolly an unexpected way. As the Archons seem rather protective of them both. Or at the very least they are more than willing to turn a blind eye thus far to the Abyssal twin. I'm gonna go further out on the limb here and say that there is prolly a reason the creators chose 7 elements. 3 elements will prolly align closer to the Abyss. Cryo being prolly one of them as it explains the Fatui. Maybe Ei too. And 3 will prolly align closer with Celestia. Except for Venti. He'd prolly remain neutral as a balance keeper.
it's kinda weird cause the abyss kinda appears and goes and so far the fatui have been the one that is pretty active so I'm excited for more abyss lore/screen time in the future
The ADHD medication comment made me laugh quite hard. Very relatable. I liked the observation of the potential interactions between Dendro and Abyss jumbos. Curious to see if your thoughts on this have changed with the 3.6 trailer and lettuce dragon.
13:32 inb4 it gives exactly nothing when it comes to this topic 🥲 I really like how even though you still throw your own theory into the mix you still present both sides of the argument and admits that we simply don't know enough to know who's truly bad and good. I've seen way too many people jumping onto both sides and fighting over it, sure they're compelling narratives on their own but there's simply isn't enough out there rn to say for certain. Oh and we might not even have to wait for fontaine for further developments in this matter, Nahida's second sq seem to atleast have indirect connection to the abyss, Khaenriah, and the cataclysm which should be very interesting to see.
Hello Silicon!! Thank you so much for providing us with yet another awesome video, I always love listening to your side of the story. I was feeling a bit sick today, listening to your video definitely helped a bit!! ❤❤
I just realised something In the quest I felt some choices of dialogue of the traveler didn't add up to clothar's replies to them Then I realised that even if you choose something else The response of clothar will be to what the abyss twin said
It's a tough order to make the Abyss out to be the good guys somehow, although they do seem to be suggesting some sort of nuance recently. However in v3.0 we got the Abyss=Lovecraftian Horror stuff very directly (Al-Azif, Nameless City, death cannot die etc) instead of indirectly. Enjou freely admits he's evil. With Caribert we see the Sibling saying don't trust the Abyss too. Not to mention everyone else in Teyvat routinely describes the Abyss as evil, monsters, corruption, death etc. If they're really planning to make Abyss=Good Guys I don't think they have directly added the Chthulhu stuff.
abyssal power can be affected by other species in teyvat(even the archons and the traveler and the traveler sibling abyss side) but only one doesn't affected by that and that is paimon (our sussy little emergency food)
Abyss represents disorder vs Celestia represents order. Both are necessary. Just like you have to destroy a forest to build a city. But balance between the two should be maintained otherwise human lives will suffer.
Ok! Wait!! I feel like I should just … say this beforehand, and apologize. What you are about to witness is essentially a whole block of text … sorry! Hope that for those who brave themselves to read it all, that you will enjoy it … once again, so sorry, my bad … eheh Something I just wish to mention and talk about in great detail. In Rukkhadaveta’s Farewell, she says “Only dreams can awaken the consciousness” “Only they can repel the Deepest Darkness”. Focusing more on the Dream Line, this might be very true, much more truer than we think. If a dream can awaken consciousness, then by the same token, taking away a dream is taking away a consciousness, which sounds like the Curse of Wilderness. Now, the Sinner apparently gives Caribert back his consciousness, which is to say, a dream. Back to this point later, we have Chlothar and Dainsleif, who suffer the Curse of Immortality, Chlothar is losing his marbles when we meet, and Dainsleif is losing his memory when we meet, now under the assumption that dreams are somewhat synonymous to life, and taking away a dream is taking away a consciousness, then wouldn’t making a person immortal be making their dream frozen? If a dream dies, the person dies, but if a dream can’t continue on living because it’s been frozen, then the person keeps on living. Now I have kept meat in the freezer too long sometimes so I know of two things about frozen meat, if you take it out of the freezer and leave it in some heat, the ice will thaw out, but if you leave the frozen meat inside the freezer for too long, then eventually the meat will spoil, but because it is frozen, it will take a long time before that happens. Using this analogy on frozen dreams, if it stays frozen for too long, the dream will rotten and the life will rotten, or in Dainsleif’s case, his old memories will rotten. They are still under the curse of immortality, as long as the dream is frozen, they won’t die, so all the rotten dream is doing is taking away self awareness. In the Chasm Traveler Quest, Dainsleif questions how Halfdan remained self-aware without “it”, “it” being dreams, this means that dreams are responsible for one’s consciousness and self-awareness. Chlothar seems to have been lacking some self-awareness when we meet him, with how he talks and acts, and several other things. This would be due to his “rotten” dreams. Now, for the question of how Dainsleif is able to remain self-aware, and why he is losing memory while Chlothar isn’t. Dainsleif is sustaining his frozen dreams with an alternative, and considering his title of “Bough Keeper” this alternative might just be the branches of Irminsul, which don’t hold dreams, but memories. So Dainsleif is sustaining himself with memories of dreams, so they aren’t as efficient as dreams, but they are still effective, this would explain why he is still self-aware with some memory loss, he is sacrificing his memories to stay self-aware, or more accurately, trading his memories away with other memories, this would give a perfect reason for why he is the narrator for most Character Miscellany. (With Aloy and Wanderer being exceptions, because Irminsul doesn’t have memories of them). Now, if dreams are assumed to be synonymous to life, then why are Hilichurls still alive, and slowly dying? Well we are kind of hinted towards this answer in the Chasm as well, the upside down well that appeases dying Hilichurls. Dying Hilichurls feel a lot of pain, and this upside down well only reliefs this dying pain, it doesn’t cure the Hilichurls, meaning it isn’t creating dreams or creating anything at all, it is appeasing something that all Hilichurls still have in them, their memories perhaps? The Hilichurl Eclipse Tribe tells us that Hilichurls still retain some memory without their consciousness. (Plus, Dain does tell us about the reason why Hilichurls wear masks, another sign that they still have memories) Without dreams being their lifeline, they are only left with their memories to sustain their lifespan. And sadly it appears that over time, they will lose their memory as well, costing them their life’s at the same time. (I have more thoughts about this, but these more thoughts are somewhat irrelevant to what I’m talking about currently.) Now, I do have a slight suspicion that this Curse of Wilderness, is able to applied to Gods as well, I’ll get back to this point as well. But for now, back to the point of the Sinner giving Caribert a consciousness. With all the evidence above, the Sinner is somehow capable of creating dreams, not memories of dreams, but actual dreams. And is able to impart these dreams into Caribert, well, these dreams don’t seem to be all to healthcare for Caribert, as we see from his freak out soon after. Now here is an interesting connecting I made. Yae Miko tells us that visions are akin to one’s ambition, and one can argue that dreams are just another word for ambitions. And Makoto, the God of Eternity, also valued dreams very highly as well. And Ei turned her views of Eternity to agree to this as well. (Idk if this means dreams and ambitions are literally the same thing, or if dreams still have their own thing, while having a deep connection to ambition) Visions are then likened to dreams that one can naturally have. While delusions can be likened to man(?)made dreams … or Sinner-Made Dreams. … which seems to heavily suggest that the Abyss Order and Fatui do have some form of alliance, OR understanding of temporary and limited teamwork. After all, they both showed interest in doing something to Dvalin, and creating a God. Oh, and did I forget to mention their rebellion against the heavens? So yeah, a few odd connections there. Ok, now back to the Gods being cursed point, in the title menu area thing (the pathway that constructs itself, plus the door) there is a song being played in the background, this song is called Dream Aria … which with my talk about Dreams awakening Consciousness Theory now has me heavily suspecting that the Moon Sister Aria is still alive, but under the curse of wilderness. Now this would have happened during the collapse of the other moons, which was said to have occurred because of a fight between the Moon Sisters. This would have occurred long before the Archon War took place, otherwise we would have in game historical info on this event, instead of myths and legends. Now with Aria being under the curse, I’m starting to suspect that the fight between the Sisters might of been misunderstood, or lied about. … yeah … that’s all … one last supporting evidence is that the Khaenri’ah Chapter is called “Dream of Dreaming”, and with the Immortals being left to dream for the Wilderness, this now makes a lot more sense. And the male skeleton that is heavily suggested to be Chlothar, if that is indeed true, then Chlothar somehow unfroze his dreams, undoing his immortality. Also, the “Freezer Meat” analogy of mine, might be called Erosion in-game, or it might not be, I don’t really have any more connections to think up of about that. … ok, that should be all, thanks for reading this whole … block of text … sorry about the block of text as well … have a good day!
It's quite ironic however if the abyss order's goal is to actually restore the balance, since they are practically monsters that were once all people from khaenri'ah, humans. The restoration of balance would eventually imply the destruction of the human realm, from which they came from as well.
Hey Silicon, have you taken notice to the new (at least I think they're new) loading screen tips lately? You can look them up on the wiki but they generally say: A Message For "You", followed by "We will meet again," or other messages, I forget what they say. It really intrigued me the first time they showed up on my loading screen in game. Like, why the hell is "You" in quotes? Who's speaking to us?
how if primordial one is the fallen and become sinner and took revenge to the throne of celestia lead by second who came. or primordial one is dual entities but one. light (celestia) and dark (abyssal) and second who came is primordial one himself but his another side.
I do have to argue slightly. If Hillichurls are made and are part of the Abyss themselves, then wouldn't that make the Dendro samachurl the only Abyssal creature with dendro power? On top of that, I'd like to point out that the Fatui also don't have any lackies or anyone in their ranks at this time who use the power of dendro. Strange, isn't it?
The hilichurls were a result of the curse from Celestia, not the Abyss. The Mages/Heralds were influenced by the Abyss. So the samachurls aren't using abyssal powers to use Dendro.
Its sounding a lot like Yin Yang Abyss is the moon the dark side Teyvat is the light side, however since the light side has more power its thrown out of balance
Alright i definitely enjoyed this video and the food for thought informations but here's some of my opinions I don't believe that forbidden knowledge and the abyss have any connection at all, It's well established that Deshret did an oopsie and infected everyone with the withering, eleazar etc. Not to mention he ended up sacrificing himself to save his people. That also debunks the theory of king Deshret being the sinner The Sinner by himself could he an entirely new entity that's like "The devil" of genshin. It has it's own powers and capabilities while expanding it's followers like how gods in genshin work. But in the Caribert quest i find the Sinner's actions all too... Underwhelming Telepathy is something Nahida already has along with a Hexenzerkel witch Nicole, Fate and historical readings are also things done by Nahida and Mona. And the blessing to give one's mind some clarity is of course something Nahida has capability of according to the book Ok so.... Here's the thing, we Know that from a TIMELINE standpoint that The Caribert quest took place some time after Khanre'ah collapsed because of Dain, it's also when the abyss order was founded. Honestly the only reason the first dose didn't work was we know very well that Nahida was locked up and weak at the time, especially since greater lord already perished. I think the Sinner just grew more and more power after such a long time and now it commands armies and such. Scara and Dottore Raiding the Sumeru Archon quests really just turned it into a boring fatui Pokémon plot again (gotta catch em all) which made Sumeru more or less unrelated to the Abyss The next patch is bound to have many Abyssal connections, especially with Nahida's insight into how her ancestors and how the Abyss functions.
Deshret specifically went after the forbidden knowledge actually, it wasn't an accident. The Flower of Paradise Lost artifacts go over this. So the possibility of him being the Sinner is still there.
i have some question, 1. if human realm i.e. teyvat was not meant to exist, then where did dragons existed. well we will soon know what that apocalypse was,,, 2. how APEP has the power of dendro!? i think we need one more answer, where is teyvat? maybe it was a part of abyss!!
If you're referencing the Time and Wind world quest with the sundials and the nameless island, that was 2 to 5 am, and I don't believe there was anything about Venti defeating the God of Time.
Hilichurls and Samachurls were created from the curse given by Celestia, not the power of the Abyss. They don't use the power of the Abyss like the Abyss Mages, Heralds, and Lectors do.
Another showcase of this "warmth" of the Abyss was Takamine, the original wielder of the Mistsplitter and Thunderous Fury. He managed to defeat many abyssal creatures with his sword but the weapon eventually broke and fell into the darkness. The part that the sibling was in a Ley Line memory proves that he was already recorded in the Irminsul before joining the Abyss.

Now, I do have a slight suspicion that this Curse of Wilderness, is able to applied to Gods as well, I’ll get back to this point as well.
If you want a few more candidates, cat with blue hat also has a few ones too
It's quite ironic however if the abyss order's goal is to actually restore the balance, since they are practically monsters that were once all people from khaenri'ah, humans. The restoration of balance would eventually imply the destruction of the human realm, from which they came from as well.
Can you please make a lore video once 3.7 drops I love to hear your thoughts on the abyss once more and I love you videos keep up the good work.
Another banger
Hey Silicon, have you taken notice to the new (at least I think they're new) loading screen tips lately? You can look them up on the wiki but they generally say: A Message For "You", followed by "We will meet again," or other messages, I forget what they say. It really intrigued me the first time they showed up on my loading screen in game. Like, why the hell is "You" in quotes? Who's speaking to us?
hey, you really did a great job don't stress out..:) also i believe more in abyss god one its high likely with genshin
My crackpot theory is that it's Otto Apocalypse, but that's probably nonsense
how if primordial one is the fallen and become sinner and took revenge to the throne of celestia lead by second who came. or primordial one is dual entities but one. light (celestia) and dark (abyssal) and second who came is primordial one himself but his another side.
Sounds like the honkai
I do have to argue slightly. If Hillichurls are made and are part of the Abyss themselves, then wouldn't that make the Dendro samachurl the only Abyssal creature with dendro power?
On top of that, I'd like to point out that the Fatui also don't have any lackies or anyone in their ranks at this time who use the power of dendro. Strange, isn't it?
The hilichurls were a result of the curse from Celestia, not the Abyss. The Mages/Heralds were influenced by the Abyss. So the samachurls aren't using abyssal powers to use Dendro.
@@SiliconOneFour Oh. That makes sense.
Once the creator also can be it destroyer.
Its sounding a lot like
Yin Yang
Abyss is the moon the dark side
Teyvat is the light side, however since the light side has more power its thrown out of balance
Maybe that's the reason Dendro Abyss Mages got scrapped
Alright i definitely enjoyed this video and the food for thought informations but here's some of my opinions
I don't believe that forbidden knowledge and the abyss have any connection at all, It's well established that Deshret did an oopsie and infected everyone with the withering, eleazar etc. Not to mention he ended up sacrificing himself to save his people. That also debunks the theory of king Deshret being the sinner
The Sinner by himself could he an entirely new entity that's like "The devil" of genshin. It has it's own powers and capabilities while expanding it's followers like how gods in genshin work. But in the Caribert quest i find the Sinner's actions all too... Underwhelming
Telepathy is something Nahida already has along with a Hexenzerkel witch Nicole, Fate and historical readings are also things done by Nahida and Mona. And the blessing to give one's mind some clarity is of course something Nahida has capability of according to the book
Ok so....
Scara and Dottore Raiding the Sumeru Archon quests really just turned it into a boring fatui Pokémon plot again (gotta catch em all) which made Sumeru more or less unrelated to the Abyss
The next patch is bound to have many Abyssal connections, especially with Nahida's insight into how her ancestors and how the Abyss functions.
Deshret specifically went after the forbidden knowledge actually, it wasn't an accident. The Flower of Paradise Lost artifacts go over this. So the possibility of him being the Sinner is still there.
i have some question,
1. if human realm i.e. teyvat was not meant to exist, then where did dragons existed.
well we will soon know what that apocalypse was,,,
2. how APEP has the power of dendro!?
i think we need one more answer, where is teyvat? maybe it was a part of abyss!!
1. The Light Realm is where the dragons were. 2. Elemental power comes from the light realm. The power of the Abyss Order comes from the Void Realm.
@@SiliconOneFour OOO thanks for info... Now it's really difficult to find why abyss is doing so...!
lazy plot twist, Abyss is honkai energy.
thus, two universe is finally connected
Lazy writing, or pathetic wishful thinking on a lot of brain dead players' part?
Fun reminder: 2 to 5 pm is also the time when Venti defeated the God of time all by himself
If you're referencing the Time and Wind world quest with the sundials and the nameless island, that was 2 to 5 am, and I don't believe there was anything about Venti defeating the God of Time.
I thought they're supposed to be friends
@@SiliconOneFour I believe there is either in game item description or a theory that suggested this
@@bizarreworld2510 I don't recall any item referencing this, if you can find it please let me know.
11:36 but there are the dendro samachurls ?
Hilichurls and Samachurls were created from the curse given by Celestia, not the power of the Abyss. They don't use the power of the Abyss like the Abyss Mages, Heralds, and Lectors do.
@@SiliconOneFour okay, thank you
Ayyy dude if u wanna talk ADHD with a fellow ADHDer, lmk hehe
