    PURE LOVE and LIGHT to you. I'm so excited I found you today!!!! I'm on a sober journey lol spiritual journey more like it. But I'm truly believing that I can get off methadone for pill addiction I was addicted for 20 year's. And I've been feeling like I just know and do not want this junk in my body anymore. So today I decided to do my research and dive deep into the reason I was once an addict. I'm a true believer that meditation has helped so far and I'm even more excited now that I've found you!!!! Namaste💖💖🙏

      Hello, new friend! Your comment moved me so much that it became a practice of joy just to be present with the magnitude of this decision you've made, your enthusiasm, and the wonder that I may, in my small way, get to support it. I sat there awhile just breathing and opening my heart with tears falling. Namaste to you, truly. I respect your path to the fullest. And if I can ever send you a little more love, sign up for my Newsletter at www.collierconnections.com. I put my whole heart into that, too.

      Wow. To brace myself on the fact that this was the first comment I seen after watching this video, just gives me the cold chills. I am so glad I ran into @KristinCollier, too! What a breath of fresh air and joy and love. You can just feel the sincerity and passion just watching her. I have tried meditation for 6 months now with not much success. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I am almost finished with breaking the habit of being yourself audible. I listen to Dr. Joe all day everyday. What a brilliant man filled with intellect and love. His brain just woes me. I want so badly to join in on all of this work. It is so overwhelming not knowing where to start. I really wish there was like a day by day guide to his breaking the habit of being yourself. Like a 90 day schedule or workbook. Because I listen to chapter after chapter and then I’m not sure what to do with the info. I have changed my lifestyle, and everything about myself in the past 10 years. I too, am on a very similiar medication. And I want it out of my body. My doctor is not supportive of me “getting off of my medicine”. I was told I would need to take it for the rest of my existence and I refuse. So I weaned myself from 2 tablets a day to 1/16 of one. I have tried so hard to go longer and longer between each dose. It’s so hard. I have now took it upon myself to find my way out. This isn’t the only reason I yearn to learn to use his teachings effectively. I have three kids that deserve a better version of myself as I am now. Although, I have already came a long way from where Am was, I am stagnant at this moment. And I just want my children to have a chance to learn his work early (much earlier than myself) so that they aren’t 38 before they realize they are in control of their joy and honestly their complete entirety if I can somehow learn myself and then pass this down.

      @@missmandee4733 , wow!! I'm so glad to hear from you, and such a powerful story. I hear the determination in your writing -- you are becoming your present-future self and leaving the past self behind, at all costs. I am so impressed with the way you've pursued this and getting down to 1/16 of one! I am behind you all the way. And, I AGREE with you ... I did not find ease in parsing out doable practices for my waking hours from Dr. Joe's books either. When I made my own inspired by my understanding of what he and others put forth (I have 20 years experience in the behavior science field and teaching Nonviolent Communication), I decided, after healing my own body, that I would refine and share them. I would love to help you in the Joy Collective! We are starting our annual core series soon, and are running a holiday sale (code HOLIDAY for 25% off). And I would not want money to be an object. I’ve been following Dr. Joe for several years. I have similar health situation to what you had. Mines been getting worse over the last while. I try to meditate every day but the pain makes it impossible to stay with for long. I’m 71 and afraid this is the end for me. I can’t travel. Actually I don’t even have a passport. I seem to be at a loss. I watch Dr. Joes stuff every day. I attempt various of his meditations . The pain ( possibly from an arachnoid cyst on my spine), is eating me up. Help!

    • @collierconnections
      @collierconnections  Год назад +7

      Oh my gosh. I remember feeling such excruciating pain that when I put my attention on it, tears just fell and fell. If you're feeling anything like that, my heart goes out to you. It's really confusing when the "cause" is unclear.
      I'm glad you're watching my videos, and I hope you subscribe. I will be doing a series just on my healing soon. I hope that's helpful. I clarified a number of practices that helped me that I now teach in the Core Alignment with Joy series. I invite you to sign up for my newsletter here www.collierconnections.com/newsletter and to pop over to my blog on that site to see articles on the topic that have been in the newsletter.
      The bottom line is in feeling better -- maybe not "great" for some time, but focusing on thoughts and feelings that feel incrementally better and better. It's possible to access new highs in meditation, then to grow into them in our conscious lives. This is a win regardless of the cause of our pain. And evidence is mounting that this treatment alone, if it becomes more and more consistent, will "cure" a wide range (Dr. Joe says any, and that's arguable) of maladies.
      I'm in your cheering section, Bob! Please keep me as an ally. I believe in you.

    Had challenges laying on floor ( one knee) and felt overloaded with info. The music with meditations was too loud for me and thus drowned out his talking therein.
    Not complaining to you just didn't know how to get beyond these technicalities.

      Don't we all, Joyce! Well said. And meditation isn't a fit for everyone. That's one of the reasons I developed the practices I did, as they don't center on meditation but are different ways to direct our thought consciously. And you name one of the most important pieces ... listening to our inner guidance. Thank you for your insight!

      Hmmm ... for Dr. Joe specifically, you could try looking for a "Meet Up" group. I'm involved in a few groups, and I find none as satisfying as the Joy Collective because we meet and practice weekly. (It's my group through Collier Connections, www.collierconnections.com ) We've been practicing and expanding our practice in Priming, for example, which is drawn from Dr. Joe's work and is something I've broken down and expanded on using behavior and brain science. We have done these meditations altogether and then discussed, etc. weekly for over the past month. Different topics every week, all on expanding consciousness and in alignment with Dr. Joe's work. Such an amazing, vulnerable, and uplifting group of folks from all around the world. If that interests you, let me know.

    What a great video to find--thank you! Two questions--do you think the Progressive Online can be as beneficial as the retreat in person? And do you use a meditation from Dr. Joe primarily or did you create your own for everyday use/practice?

    • @collierconnections
      @collierconnections  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm glad you enjoyed it @reginaclarke1574! In answer to your questions ... No doubt the in-person Progressive is more beneficial because for one thing, the vibe of thousands of people primed for joy is amazing. Is it worth the money to go considering that you get the online Progressive for free if you go to a weeklong in person? In my opinion, no. I'd rather sink my money into a week of amazing vibes and get the Progressive as a bonus. There are way more opportunities that open up for folks once they've been to a week-long too (online community, more contact with Dr. Joe, Advanced Follow up option). Not the case with Progressive, as I understand it.
      Secondly, I used many of Dr. Joe's meditations and still do. I make my own as well. Some of these are on this channel. But the most beneficial thing I did in terms of everyday practice is to create and use practices that changed my thinking. These helped me heal completely and have helped many others heal their bodies and relationships. I accept new students into live classes twice a year and the following few days is one of those times. That was an awesome brief. I’m hoping Joe will come back to Canada at a time when I am able to att3nd. I can sort of relate to your previous medical story. I have burning pain from ne k to legs and neuropathy in my legs.There is an arachnoid cyst on my upper back that I think is the cause of my ongoing , increasing situation. I have been reading Dr. Joe’s books, you tube interviews, and meditations. I understand his material. Harnessing that feeling of already being whole is eluding me. I find it hard to meditate at times when the pain is so overpowering. I am 71, been married 35 years. On fixed incomes so haven’t got the money . Plus have no passport. I know Dr. Joes been in Ontario before. I’m sure he will be again when I am ready.
    Do you have any suggestions?

      Hi, Indika! You have asked at the perfect time as we begin the Core Alignment with Joy series live on Zoom in January. The folks in the Joy Collective who have been together for over 9 months now started here to get the foundational learning. Here's a link to check it out (testimonials are at the bottom of the page). Ah, and now I'm just realizing you said "Joe Collective," and I don't know of one of those. I was speaking of the "Joy Collective" where we practice many skills inspired by and pointed to by Dr. Joe Dispenza, further developed by me. These are skills relating mostly to conscious, day-to-day life rather than meditation. I share ways that I apply these skills in my other RUclips videos.

      You are so welcome! In the 3 I've attended, the numbers have been around 1300-1600 people and the layout is very similar to that of the weeklong. I always sit on the end of the aisle so I can set up my lay-down along the edge where there are fewer folks. All the best, and I hope to see you at a future retreat or on my channel again.

      I understand. The good news is that you can dive deep right where you are. The vast majority of my healing I did at home without even attending the event. I know! I found that confusing at first too. But I've had some crazy magical ways that the events literally paid for themselves once I made a commitment to go, and for the right reasons. I've heard these stories over and over. I don't think Dr. Joe is magic, I think we all are much more than we know and discover ourselves through the work. The scholarships can be so helpful too (see my other reply to your comment).

      Not certain what the rest of your sentence about money is, but I'm guessing it's something like, "Dude, it's all about the money." Let me know if I'm off!
      If that's it, I'd say, "Are you sure?" Because people are getting scholarships and going for free and people are healing themselves regardless of what they paid. In fact, people are healing themselves by checking out his books from the library and doing the work in their living rooms.
      I think it's about a new life and new way of being. And that takes investment of time and resources, one of which could be money. I'm satisfied with the value I've received. How about you?

    So you couldn’t use your arms or neck. You couldn’t do anything and it sounds as though you were bed ridden but you could drive 13 hours! ?
    Do you get paid for this video?

    • @collierconnections
      @collierconnections  2 года назад +6

      Sorry for the confusion. February-July I couldn't use my arms and neck, sometimes fully bedridden, other times able to hobble around and barely grasp a pencil. I started doing Dr. Joe's meditations in July. By the following February (7 months later, meditating multiple times daily), I was able to drive barely, a huge accomplishment, to the event. I appreciate that you raised the question, and I plan to do more videos to clarify. Also, I appreciate the opportunity to share that I did NOT get paid to make this video and will note that in the description, too. Many thanks!

    While I certainly can appreciate what the Dr. has done and is doing, I can't help but feel a touch of dislike for the money he collects in doing so. Not that he shouldn't make a profit from his work and the expenses incurred, but that it seems to me he overcharges for his services. It is fine that he travels the world to help others. But again, it just rubs my fur the wrong way when anyone charges money to help another find the Peace of God within themselves. I'm sure that those that attend feel it was money well spent. I myself would feel ashamed if I asked for more money than what it took to 'feed the 5000'.

      James, I thank you so much for bringing your concern to the forefront. I love it when people are honest and transparent! I have shared some of your concerns in the past, especially as I clarify for myself how I want to conduct my own business. What I can now report is that I absolutely get my money's worth AND there are scholarships available for those who can't afford to come. The Give to Give Foundation is not offically Dr. Joe, but is related and has supported countless folks in attending. The price for the event is $1100. Meals alone (3 breakfast, 3 lunch, about 8 snacks) costs at least $120 I'd say. They are higher quality foods presented buffet style. We are being served by staff and volunteers and/or listening to Dr. Joe for about 36 hours total. That averages about $27/hour. This is not counting prep or the energy it takes to organize or register folks for the event. Dr. Joe works with us himself close to 10 hours a day. And this is not factoring the cost of the venue, staffing, etc. I think his pricepoint is quite good. I do agree with you that he is supporting us in accessing what we always-already have access to. But if you think about it, we pay good money to learn to be a plumber, a mechanic, a doctor ... and these are things most of us have the capacity to do. He is putting a tremendous amount of life energy into this work. Probably most of his waking hours. I cannot comment on whether he gets paid "too much" for this work. It is enough for me to know that his work is accessible to all, that I find it worth every penny, and feeling grateful for every ounce of energy he puts into it. I have my life back because of what he showed me. And if I hadn't figured out where the lightswitch was, I could stumbled around in the dark the rest of my life. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to hear your thoughts on this and for providing a space to share mine!
