  • This is my 2nd video talking about my collection as I got further along with wood processing on our new property. I talk about my journey through the land of Chainsaws and I discuss the MS 291, MS 391, Redmax 40 cc, and the MS 250 in relation to where i'm at currently with my new favorite : the Husqvarna 592 XP.
My realization was that I've spent thousands to finally realize all I needed was the 592 from the start.
I'll say it was an expensive journey but i've reached the destination. And am a bit smarter now than I was prior.
Hopefully I covered some questions people might have about the 592, and we're all here to keep the woodcutting community in full circuit. Definitely feel free to throw in a Like and comment !
***QUICK BREAKDOWN OF THE SAWS and what I paid for them brand new :
    -STIHL MS 250, $399, 45 cc.
    -HUSQVARNA 445, $450, 45 cc
-REDMAX (discontinued) 40 cc saw, $299 at Sears with a Craftsman label on it.
    -STIHL MS 291, $575, 55.5 cc, 20 inch bar
    -STIHL MS 391, $715, 64 cc, 24 inch bar.
    -HUSQVARNA 592 XP, $1,250.
Expensive ? Yeah. Combined though, these saws don't even come close to the price of my cabinet table saw. All about perspective and purpose.
All are registered with warranty's and I would suggest that to anyone buying a new saw. If you purchase their fuel mixes and 2 cycle oil it extends the warranties for all saw brands spoken of here other than the Redmax.
Will probably end up selling my 291 as the 391 and now 592 have taken place of it. But it has done so much and always worked when I needed it. And at one point, without forgetting, it was my favorite saw.
SUMMARY : This new Husqvarna 592 is easily the lightest and most powerful and accurate fastest cutting saw I've ever had the pleasure to use.
