Inverted Snowblower Shear Pin Change

Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth having a snowblower for the tractor, or if I should just go back to plowing with a truck. The TYM is awesome, but it's always rough when you bust a shear bolt and don't have any on hand. Other than that though, the Wifo UpShot Inverted snowblower is great.

been there done that. Late at night no more sheer pins for the chute prop on my forward mount snowblower (blew many sheer pins with large rocks and never replenished my stock, lol)... Pissed and moaned and just ran over the snow with my 4x4 to pack it.

Try to look up back blades for blower I know Pronovost blower have some but you can’t really see it well in the cab it’s a guessing game till you learn your machine

Yup… Shear bolts are a must to keep on hand.. My Kubota front mount as you probably already know has two.. And they are two different sizes.. hahaha So yup I carry one of each and the wrenches in the tractor.. I even have a drift pin to punch out and line up the holes..
Like a Boy Scout I always keep prepared.. hahaha
Oh and that nice Hot cup of coffee.. hahahaha

#1 rule when you live on a dirt road and use a blower always have shear pins in the garage ,lol we all been there boot"n er down to the supply store at the last minute....Gotta love winter eh...

These are the blowers that most guys up in Canada are running. They seem to do fine. I can’t find a single video of a tractor with an inverted stuck.
On the flip side, I got my front mount Kubota stuck regularly. Can’t steer when the front blower is down.

I know guys that run 4066R with inverted you could get stuck but haven’t seen it a lot (I’m in Quebec) you gotta learn your machine and learn its limits. My first year I’ve sucked a m6-101 in a pile of snow
