Not my 1st choice style wise but, the workmanship and end result was stunning. I would like to see the tins installed on the bike and sitting outside in the sun & under streetlights at night 👍
Dude, there are craftsmen and there are craftsmen but you my friend are an artist of epic proportions. I would love to know where your shop is and have you paint my new project
What the hell dude, you guys have amazing production quality on your show and it needs way more recognition. I just found your channel and I’m at a loss for words!
Boyyyyyyyyyyyy the tiiiiiime, whew, just three pieces, 1 with a simple lettering, 1000 dollars or higher im guessing, i feel art shouldnt have to be only 4 who can AFFORD IT or the elite 1percent/ snobs who think because they can afford it they can AFFORD ME/MY CRAFT/ PASSION.
Murdered this coating job. Wondering if the client only later realized their needs or it was an after thought entirely. Great piece of work nonetheless.
Great work and beautiful paint. Was hoping the HD script would only be ghosted, especially on a repaint, BC that logo would be the first thing to go for me.
Why all the layers of clear just to sand it off? or were you just knocking it down some to a dull finish so you could layer more colors? I've never see this technique and its very interesting.Would this routine work with any acrylic and urethane paint? I paint as a hobby more than business and I don't paint full scale cars and bikes. Mostly models diecast and stuff people display and I am always wanting to learn new stuff.I've been using Custom Canz, House of Kolors mostly
Beautiful, but how do you work in a shop that is (or seems on camera) so underlit? Oof my eyes hurt just thinking about doing that type of work all day in dim lighting.
Do you have the colour code? I've been looking for this exact combination! I couldnt find anyone in my area that could mix it. Please share it with me lol
Nice video buddy! Where you from? Have you never heard of intercoat clear? You can use it to seal a color down, then do your decals ( I use oracal 631 which is a medium tack not a high tack so it has just the right amount of stickiness ), or intercoat then your taping and next color or airbrushing and so on. That's what I do, fuck clearing a bunch of times lol. I run a small custom paint business myself. I do a lot of Harleys...….whole lotta Harleys. I only clear in the end. 2 coats.
Building up layers of clear even if using intercoat is a good practice, you should be sanding layers and edges from the kandy intercoat after clearing them so it is a smooth finish at the end, also it give you a safety layer if you mess up. You can just sand the kandy and intercoat off back down to the roevious layer of clear
This ultrawide 21:9 format is balls. Cant' stand the loss of being up close and seeing what is going on. Consider the more common and standard 16:9 format in the future. Just a thought.........
We often scuff clear-coat for vehicle repairs and realize the colour looks way more interesting in a matte finish. But in the end, it's up to the client!
it "seals" whatever paint or artwork you have below it. Pretty much just allows us to erase something if we mess up, without affecting our previous work. It's like hitting save.
Stunning colour, reminded me of "The Pink Lady", a heavily customed VW bug created by Bernt Karlsson on Sweden back in the 80's. Found a video of her here: ruclips.net/video/SsrHAR0VTBQ/видео.html Not that it gives justice to the details and quality, seen live she just popped.
I know the sun doesn't always provide enough daylight for you guys up North eh? But if you want to demonstrate how certain procedures are executed, you need to bring a few more lights into your studio and workshop so we can see better that which you are creating, eh? Little "accent lights" in the corners and a lot of indirect lighting just don't cut it, eh?
We completely agree. This is old content and since then we've worked on making some improvements to how bright these videos are. Thanks for your feedback!
I was going to sub until I read through the comments and have seen more people ask the creator a question pertaining to the video and the creator only " like" the comment and doesn't respond... if you don't want people asking questions then don't say in the video for people to ask about the procedure in the comment section it's just out right disrespectful to A. Lead people on by telling them to ask in the comment section and don't respond and B. Like their comment and still don't respond you might as well say " comment but I'm an asshole and I'll only like what you say instead of responding to it" I mean at the very least don't even like the comment cause then we don't know if you read the comments in the first place but since we know you take the time to read and like them but aren't able to reply is a real asshole thing to do lol I'm sure your subs would go way up if you just fixed that issue everything else is legit but I can't support someone who can't take the time to respond to me after telling me to ask them in the comments but can take the time to like what I asked lol
That is stunning beyond words.....I'd love to see the assembled bike
Me too lmao, I'll try to get him to bring it back sometime this summer to make an update video.
That's the cleanest paint booth I've ever seen.
Amazing result, production, and skill. Thank you for uploading this.
Oh my god..... drop dead gorgeous.... I’m not sure I’d paint my Indian but you’ve got me thinking..... beautiful
I remember that color on Harley Davidson's in the late sixty's and early seventys stock! Love it 👊💨
The matte look after you guys sand it before the airbrush looks sick too
Beautiful paint. Job. Paint color. Looks like. Hd. Concord purple.
Ooooof that’s outrageously beautiful
Not my 1st choice style wise but, the workmanship and end result was stunning.

holy shit that color is of the hook man
Wow, that is exactly my dream color for my car, but I am sure it's way out of the budget, I can afford. Came out amazing!

so what are you rubbing on the sanding disc before you sand ?
Beautiful, but how do you work in a shop that is (or seems on camera) so underlit? Oof my eyes hurt just thinking about doing that type of work all day in dim lighting.
Beautiful clean job👏
Just wondering what this colour is called or the colour code please
Do you have the colour code? I've been looking for this exact combination! I couldnt find anyone in my area that could mix it. Please share it with me lol

Killer job! Thankx for sharing!
Hey there loving your channel since I found it. So helpful. What is the name of this colour please? Its poppin 👌
Would love to have the the formula for the color so I could tweek a bit to match my bike to my hair.
Two questions
1.about how long did you actually wait to pill the logo.
2. What grit sand paper do you use to sand before dropping a logo
1. 15-20 min.
2. 600 grit the entire surface.

Thank you! Cheers!
Does this same method apply for when airbrushing murals over candy paint?
Awesome work. What grit are you sanding for decal and airbrush work? Thanks again

You did a Super Job, pure Artwork. 🤗
So how much to do this same job again. 🤔
May I ask how much would a job like that cost. As have a harley davidson 883 that need parts painting
Anywhere from 850-1500 for that paint job I’d say
You always work in the dark?
FREAKIN WOW!!
what amazing talent. My gosh..very time consuming and patients. Did you wet sand the tank after the last clear or did it just flow really nice after?
It's been a while since we did this one, but we most likely did some wet-sanding/cutting/polishing after the final clear.
@@SketchsInkTV amazing work.. wow...
What was the colour called
Amazing work !
What color is this??

Very cool video! It's always fun to see the whole process unfold.
I have an 85 Monte Carlo SS that would look beautiful with that color!
Could you guys please tell me the color chem makeup?
Did you find out what the color is
@@robertmahaney4271 shit no..
If someone does find out the color formula could you let me know so I can try to match my bike to my hair? I think they would be a good combo.
Hello. Just a question about your clear coat when you say clear coat is that one or three coats.
If you're still curious, give the shop a call at 613-366-2548 and I can explain things better.
Enough coats so it lays thick and doesn’t have orange peel
To the advert haw did the clock maker no the time when the clock maker made the clock well there is sun dails and the stars
This is stunning! Must have been a costly job
Just found this channel today, subbed immediately great editing , I have some work to do now on my channel.
very nice but is it just me or did it look great with that frosted purple look?
We often scuff clear-coat for vehicle repairs and realize the colour looks way more interesting in a matte finish. But in the end, it's up to the client!
Can I have that paint code?
Clean!
Can you make the captions a little smaller please 🤦🏻♂️

Why didnt you remove all the paint first.?
Not necessary
Turn on the lights!!!
We've since changed all the lighting in here. Working on some new content that will be much brighter!
It's all good brother!!!! Awesome work Wow!!!!!
I was wondering why you are clear coating everytime if you're going to sand it all off in the next step anyways ...?
it "seals" whatever paint or artwork you have below it. Pretty much just allows us to erase something if we mess up, without affecting our previous work. It's like hitting save.
You need to buy some lights, as way to dark to watch you, plus how can you see to work. ?
I do my best work in the dark.
What’s the color code on that?
send us an email at contact@sketchsink.com and I'll see if i can get it for you.
