There’s something great fun about driving a slow car as fast as you can. love the attention to detail, as always.
This looks like so much fun! A race series thats actually affordable, without spending 80k spending on a car. Thankyou guys, I love it!!
Absolutely gutted I only just found out you went to croft.... 5 minutes away from my house, my Dad and I would have loved to have said "Hi" in person! Great work on the car and awesome info for people wanting to get into one of the "cheaper" sides of motorsport. Let me know next time you are going to croft please ;)
I absolutely love this lap.
That looks incredibly fun!
Excellent in car footage. Great placement of the camera and all of the windows in the car allow the viewer to actually see where you are going! If you decide to put a camera in your car the demo car is a good example.
I enjoyed seeing how the cut-off switch worked and how it was installed. Thank you!
How could you not love this? I'm planing to buy a welder just because of this series. I just can't except it anymore beeing unable to weld things. ^^
3! Omg this is the single greatest thing to happen during 2020.
More, more ,more and longer ,much longer ,please ,please, please . Your channel is the only RUclips channel that I am subscribed to and of the 200 plus channels subbed yours is the only one I have hit the bell for instant notification of a new video release. So please be aware of the special place that you and your second too none creations have made in your adoring fans affections. Top blokes👍👍👁
Ahhhh! I was worried Nick wasn't going to get to make a bracket this series. Lovely work as always.
Project Binky is something I would love to see in real life one day, you have inspired me to build a race car and a sim rig so I can practice
Are you trying to ruin my Saturday night?! I’ve just had to go for a 25 minute dump in a trendy wine bar to watch this!!
Jokes. Lockdown. 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you for the clarification. I was going to say you've ruined your own saturday night by going to a trendy wine bar.
@Nick Maclachlan Well, use of the word trendy has been oxymoronic since 1989.
love how the CC says [applause] for suspension sounds and [music] for engine :D @23:27
Always take one side apart at a time when dealing with brake shoes so you can use the other side to refer back to when you put it back together, but what if the guy that had them apart last time was a maniac? That is my question LOL, love your videos guys
Lots of swearing? Been there, done that.
Use Google
Most of the time there is a photo floating around
This is fantastic! i wish there was something like this series available where i live
Average number of shifts per lap in a high powered car: 167 Average number of shifts in the City Car series: 3
That's why they call it an economy box...
long gears
I was watching the gear shift stay resolutely in the same position for what seemed to be half lap thinking is that an auto box?
And probably 300 in a rally car on the Christmas Stages and Jack Frost Stages.... where it can sometimes be snowing.
For a small city car the gears are long which isn't always good with sone city driving, but they didn't love to rev. I love my 107 its a great little car.
Havnt found a good uk car channel like this in a long time
I've just remembered where i'd heard the opening credits tune before. It's from The Mighty Jingles World of Tanks videos
@Ross Bourne yay, inside the 1 mil mark. Way to go, me
Gentlemen, I really dig your choice in music. It may not be the best thing about your videos but it is on the the podium.
sometimes, in fact a lot of times, lateral g's are more fun then striaght g's
Your top tip, I heard that once, from my Dad. It was useful. And it was on drum brakes!!
Messing about with this baguette is prolonging the final phases of Project Binky.
Tune in next year for that.
A lovely cup of tea and Bargain Racement. Sunday morning made
3:22 Crackin' toast Gromit!

"Curse of the ware habbit"
That little C1 has 3rd gear for days!!! Looks like a blast!! Would love to do something like that here in RSA!! Love the video's and the humour< keep it coming!!
Can you still get the CitiGolf Cti? They were a hoot
@@JakobusVdL Nope, only Vivo's now and that you don't want to use!!
Finally some machine fiddling and brackets make their way in, now it's officially a BOM project car 😁
I was getting anxious
It's really nice to see these things done properly. Brilliant camera work and post editing, I'm thoroughly enjoying this series.
“Asthmatic ant with heavy shopping?”
Was the a Blackadder reference mate?
Of course.
I'll have to watch the series yet again.
Best RUclips car building channel in the history of...Ever. You guys are simply awesome.
On the track: were the brum brum noises coming from the engine, or was that Richard?
that intro was slick and effective, love it!
I think that was my Grannie driving the car on circuit.
Absolutely loving this series lads thanks very much for the perfect level of detail while being good fun to watch too!
Actually on time... Great work.. Now get back to binky
Everytime you release a new video of this, my need to build one of these as a daily driver increases exponentially
Aplomb? Corpulent? Aaah BOM. The only place I can satisfy my car and lexicographic nerdery in one easy bite 😅
I was astonished by the correct usage of "G-Cramp" and "practicable". Made my day that did.
Nice loving the nearly all 3rd gear for croft. The car looks alot of fun!
What that top tip an “Ed China” reference? Classic!
Mrcaffinebean that’s what I thought
A smile came across my face when i seen the vid in my watch list the smile went from ear to ear when i seen new drackets made & fitted long live the mighty bracket at the end of the year ceremonies they better have a best bracket award
Why do three cylinder engines sound so damn good? Just me?
Because they’re one fourth of a 12-cylinder!
because each cylinder is 120 degrees from each other on the crankshaft .. so naturally well balanced ( unless the MFG has taken a 4 cyl & lopped off one cylinder .. yes VAG i mean you )
The level of details showed is top level 👌
Re the rear brakes, what if the side you left built up was put together wrong by the previous person to go there.........
That's why you look at BOTH sides before taking anything apart! Friend did his brakes many years ago and complained he had to keep adjusting them. Well, you wouldn't have that problem if you hadn't swapped the adjusters side for side would you?
Or, when you look at the two sides before one starts to take the first one to bits you realise that they are different, and neither is the same as the bits you've just bought....
They did both sides just only showed one.
There was a pair of each item purchased.
@@Maksimov1337 Got that. The trick to remember is the rear brakes are not left-right. The shoes have to be front-back on each side. Only wrenching 45 years here...
@@PhilG999 you are preaching to the congregation here, time served lotus mechanic in a previous life And now a mechanical engineering instructor, I was tongue in cheek GENTLY trying to point out the Faux Pas in stating what they did, and I wouldn't look at either side, I would check the new components matched what was there and then look at the exploded workshop diagram for how the manufacturer shows the assembly being put together
The attention to detail is immensely pleasing, you're starting to give me ideas in building something similar up myself..
Actually eating toast while watching this.
LOL, me too.
Me too! Raisin toast here :D
@@iamtimthetoolman. Mine way also Raisin toast. lol.
Just had PIZZA -)
Mhhh how fun,I was actually eating a homemade sheperd's pie. What's are the odds.
