Hi Adam, I am working at the Belgian Red Cross in Brussels, Belgium, and I am searching for a tool that does exactly what your add-on is doing. (calculate time and distance by car from 25 differents adresses to one adress. I see that the one time fee is 67$. Are you offering a discount for NGO 🙂 ? How can we pay the fee as it is from a professional account, and so I have to look internally ? Thanks in advance for your reply. Philippe And one more question: I would like my team to use it, so from 5 different PCs. Will this be ok with only one licence accessing one Google Sheet ? Thanks
Is it possible to have the end address pull from a single cell instead of a matching number of starts? (i.e. I want to see how far A2:A27 is from B:2, but I don't want to have to copy the same address of B2 all the way through B27.) Whenever I try it, I get an error. Thanks!
Thank you. Can it figure out the total distance if I feed it multiple 'stops', say 3 or 4 destinations, and it calculates the total distance... This would be useful for a logbook
It can, but you would need to do it by entering each start and stop on it's own line. Something like "Start location" in A1, "1st Stop" in A2. "1st Stop" in B1, "Ending location" in B2.
Great tool! For the travel times is that based off the current time when you do the search? Obviously travel time can vary (e.g. peak hour vs early hours of the morning) so I’d be interested to know how that works.
Great question. This is Google’s answer: Choice of route and duration are based on road network and average time-independent traffic conditions. Results for a given request may vary over time due to changes in the road network, updated average traffic conditions, and the distributed nature of the service. Results may also vary between nearly-equivalent routes at any time or frequency.
I cannot get TripTally to show up in the righthand sidebar after having installed it. Is there another step I need to go through to configure Google Sheets to use TripTally?
When I press run I get an error that says "Check that you have valid origins and destinations for the MapsAPI to work" it does this even if I use the addresses you use in the video.
It's hard to say what the issues is without seeing the sheet. However, first guess is that you might not have set the ranges correctly in the sidebar. Drop me a line at adam@sheetshelp.com if you want me to look at it.

No, it needs to have addresses given to it in pairs.

Cool add on. Will it work with lat/long instead of addresses? It would certainly be helpful and a time saver for trip route planning.
I don't think so, but I appreciate the feedback. I'm going to see if that capability can be added.
@@ProlificOaktree It does work with lat/long. I installed the addon and experimented with it. It works just as it does with addresses. Thanks.

We've added the option to specify a date and time.
Great thanks for clarifying. I’ll have to test out the new functionality :)

It's helpful and thank you. Can i get the longest distance ? thx~
Yes, I grant you the longest distance.
Can it calculate based on just city to city?
Yes, it works with just cities and just ZIP codes.
