I was 7 or 8 when I played this game for the first time... Even the two tiny districts of the High City of Taris seemed so huge, and yet so vibrant! And when I reached the point at which I knew Taris was going to be bombarder to dust, I felt such strange melancholy... I walked through the apartment complex, gazing at the clouds, hearing the music, envisioning that soon it will all be over. All the people I met on Taris, literally all of them, would probably be dead. Being the main protagonist of the story, I intuitively knew I was going to survive. And yet, at the same time, I knew I had no way of saving the people around me. Neither the bystanders of the High City, nor the dwellers of the Undercity... Be it Gadon Thek, or Bendak Starkiller, or Kebla Yurt, or Janice Nall, or who knows else... Billions of people dying, and me not being able to do anything. It was a weird feeling, but it was probably the first time I have felt my humanity for real. This game taught me that nothing is eternal, and that we need to learn to cherish what we have, because one day it all can disappear.
There is something incredibly cosy about this video, I'm sure its not just nostalgia. I love having this on in the background while I do some coding and work.
Love these. Nostalgia hittin' hard. Also love that you have videos of the actual environments. That damn grumpy janitor. Keeps those floors so clean though. Anyway, nicely done.
Since at this apartment complex I fell in love with KOTOR it's now time to do the other complex (which I also like and remember very well!) with the repairing/welding droid.😍 And his beeps. 😁
Hey man I thought of another song you can grab. It only plays once on tarris, it's the party music in the other apartment complex what plays when you go and meet with that one sith girl at the bar.
I wish they'd make Kotor 3 and finish the trilogy. If only Drew Karpyshyn and Chris Avellone combined their storytelling powers...oh man. *Sigh* At least we can keep replaying them. They never get old to me.
Almost 20 years later and I still play this game and is still considered one of my top 5 games.
Same here!
It was 16yrs old by the time u wrote this but close enough, now it’s 18yrs old since it’s not December yet
@@misato2758 yeah you’re right. I was thinking ahead for some reason and ended up being off when I posted it.
Classic and Iconic. They just don't make 'em like this anymore; the 2000s was a golden era for video games.
Should I start playing 2024 ?
"Up against the wall alien scum! This is a pointless Sith raid!"
"But there was a pointless Sith raid yesterday!"
I think deep down he knew and was stressing that the Sith would probably mess up his floors...
I play this when I'm just chillin in my house or when I'm doing menial tasks like cleanin', adds that immersive effect
But can you clean as obsessively as that janitor
Asking the real questions right here
@@Arritour Kadir the janitor x2
@Allen Iverson The Answer I greet you aswell Verda
@Allen Iverson The Answer ah shit, mandalore dun fucked up
That guy is doing some serious pondering!
Ive been playing this game and kotor 2 once a year for the last 13 years
I should probably get back to work anyway. I'll probably see you around - I'm here most of the time. *THE BUILDING DOESN'T CLEAN ITSELF, YOU KNOW!!*
I remember the footstep sound effect :)
And how people's heads would turn slightly during conversations
The absolute best memories

However you've done these, awesome job. It is way better than simply listening to the soundtrack itself.
god this music brings back memories :)

+firedevil33 😵 Good idea
If I could take one person with me to keep them from blowing up, it would be scruffy the janitor in this video clip
Kadir! :)
+shidoshax Hey there, watch your step, I was just cleaning there. His voice cracks me up, still. :p
Awesome video dude! This brings back so many memories, might even replay this soon!
I love this man, thanks I’ve always enjoyed the whole soundtrack but it’s nice to hear it extended.
Hey, hey watch where you’re walkin’ I just cleaned those floors
I wish I could witness sunset on Taris while listening this melody and looking into these windows
Best music in the game, Taris Apartments and Taris Upper City.
Loved this game! And the music...
"Ooh well hellu again ..."
Watch the clean floor, its slippery.
i have videos like this playing at all times on my second monitor at work. Everyone likes the ambient music but nobody knows kotor here.

love this 1
Wana coom beessssss
The Outer Worlds’ Groundbreaker is this in 2019.
I remember a weird janitor guy with a strange voice acting.
i wish they'd remake kotor

I could do that for you bro. Let me make a note and I will do it
If you have the game, all of the mp3 files are in the Program Files directory including this one.
I have the Steam version and... Uh... They're all WAV files...
