Great video, John! Fun fact: celery is a vasodilator and can cause migraines in people who are prone to migraines. I was getting really bad headaches daily while I was juicing celery/carrot/apple juice a few years back. I finally figured it out ... it was the celery. Removed the celery, problem solved. 😜 FYI. .... pomegranates are also vasodilators and do the same thing.

What perfect timing. Immediate thumbs up. I just got finished making 4 liters of juice. Took about an hour. Now I'll relax and enjoy this video while I sip on some juice.

I love my Omega VSJ juicer. I drink green juice daily, can't go a day with out it. It taste so good. Lol
The vsj is so easy to clean that I can't imagine using any other machine.

Yes! Please do the banana ice cream 'juice-off', John. That would be great!

Now it dawned on me how to get around the oxidation process of the Pure due to its shredding function.
One gives it to a food processor instead of shredding it with the Pure.
I do not have a Pure. But i would be interested in a video which shows the result with a food processor, then pressing it with the Pure.

A food processor with an S blade would be no different, there would still be massive oxidation. The best would use a food processor with an ultra fine shredding disc, that shred items into a super small size. This way the blade would only "hit" the produce once. I have yet to see a fine blade small enough to work efficiently when juicing.

Im sure if u put the pulp from the greenstar into that press on the other machine u would get even more yield. I love the greenstar. I really want one 😣

Green Star Pro Commercial vs Super Angel. That's the battle we want to see.

I would be glad to make a video comparing those two machines... But at this time, I am having an issue with the Angel. Short story: I send Angel America a check for $5k, and they never send me the juicers. So at this time, I can not recommend a juicer where the company may be dishonest in my opinion. I have asked Angel for these juicers, and my request fall on deaf ears.

DiscountJuicers.com That's surprising. I'm from Canada and I can tell you that up here, their products are sold by many online stores dedicated to juicing and the raw food diet. It would be great if they could somehow resolve this issue with you.

I'm drinking my green juice (kale, celery, spinach, yellow beets, lime, ginger, green apple) as I'm watching this.

How does one know when and if the twin gears need replacing? Do they ever get dull from use? I purchased mine in 2011(before I knew of your site/YT station) and they look a bit gnarly lol. I'm an avid juicer and have been juicing daily since 1994. I've used my GSE even for juice fasts, making up to half gallon a day, so they've been well used.

For the twin gears on the green star juicers, basically they dont really wear out from what I have seen. Some older model machines, the plastic may crack, but I have friends that have used the machines with the plastic cracked and/or missing and it still works. That being said, I would replace the gears if there were parts missing.

The Green Power Gold(that was gifted me late in the 90's after using a Champion, for yrs) had some cracks on the gears but worked great. My GSE is doing great, no chips, etc. I've owned many over the yrs, tried many(Vert, Omega NC 900, etc) and nothing outshines the GSE in volume, taste, etc(I did my own juice off between it and the NC900). I've learned some tricks this past 2 yrs on how to clean the GSE quicker so I use it, esp with the price of produce!. Thanks as always, John! I have referred many to you over the yrs as I so appreciate all you do!

What happened to the plastic pusher with the stopper so you are not juicing wood?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  6 лет назад +3

I prefer to use the wooden pusher when using the Green Star Pro over the plastic one that must be inserted a certain direction.
