    I have a modest system: Naim Nait 5si using Naim speaker cables and upgrade power cord with an Arcam Ir Dac, using Kimber Silver Streak and Elac book shelf's B6 2.0 on Pangea speaker stands. When I inserted the AQ Jitterbug in my system it went from sizzle to laser sharp focus, almost a little too much improvement at first but now have settled into it, great upgrade for me. Its all subjective to the listener and their gear I suppose?

    I’m
    Surprised the mojo
    Was doing anything connected to that dongle. It’s still using the iPhones internal dac as you’re not surpassing it. Also a waste of the mojo with what looks to be Spotify. I believe you surpass the internal dac only with the camera connection kit for Apple.

    Hi, I am very interested in buying a sennheiser HD 700 i see that You compared it versus a lot of headphones, i actually own the Philips Fidelio X2 and i want upgrade it by Something better did you tested it? Also i was looking for the HIfiman sundara too and is at the same price of the HD700, if u have tested both headphones can you tell me which is worthing to buy ? Thanks!

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  5 лет назад +2

      The Sundara are a much cheaper alternative to the HD700, but I do not think they are similar. The Sundara does not have as clear detail retrieval as the 700. Their soundstage is about the same, but I think the 700's bass response is a bit clearer; indeed, the Sundara have noticeably boosted bass in comparison, which can contribute to loss of detail. They both provide close mids response, but I think the 700 has better separation of multiple vocalists. It's not night and day, but noticeable in an A/B test.
      As for which one is worth buying, that depends entirely on what you plan to use them for. The Sundara have a slightly more "warm" presentation. The 700 has more treble energy, is clearer, and does not have boosted bass like the Sundara.

      @@NoThemeReviews oh thanks very much for the fast response! I sually like to hear classic music, violin, electronic like vocal - drum bass - synthwawe - chill step and i usually play games do you think HD 700 fits very well with these things than sundara?, Also i wanna ask if the HD 700 will be a significant improvement of sound quality than the Fidelio X2? Like in soundstage, separation of instruments...

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  5 лет назад +1

      @@caeeesette9604 Yes, I think the 700 is an obvious improvement over the X2. I think the Sundara are a little too muffled for classical and electronic music, but will probably perform more pleasingly with bass-heavy tracks. You may want to consider starting a little lower down the ladder. The 1More Triple Driver are very good for their price. The 1More has significantly tighter, more visceral bass response than either the Sundara or 700. The 1More has about average soundstage, but very clear sound--clearer than the Sundara, IMO. The only real downfall of the 1More is that it is on-ear and has a tight clamping force.

    • @caeeesette9604
      @caeeesette9604 5 лет назад

      @@NoThemeReviews So the winner in Soundstage, separation and detail will be clearly the HD 700 true?
      Also i wanna ask you If there is any other headphone that competes with the HD 700 at the price of 400 euros, which is what the HD 700 costs me.. If not i will sure buy the HD700!
      Thanks verry much for answering my doubts!!!

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  5 лет назад

      Out of the headphones I mentioned, I think the 700 has the widest soundstage. You may also want to consider the NAD HP50. It’s cheaper than the 700 but has excellent detail and soundstage. It sounds like good bookshelf speakers.

    There is a known issue on the USB-C iPads. Any connected DAC shows as a connected headphone rather than a USB Device. So this time (almost only time) it's not the mojo's fault. People reported all kinds of issues with all kinds of DACs. I think apple just thinks people will only connect their usb-c dongles to it so it treats it that way. They should just make the CCK adapter in usb-c for these kinds of issues.

    • @Panslapper
      @Panslapper 6 месяцев назад

      Apple usb c dongles over here in the UK in 2024 have very low volume output compared to the States. The sound quality is very good but rendered almost useless in most cases due the restrictions on the volume.

    The Jiiterbug doesn't work connected to my iPad 4 with the CCK dongle (different one that you use in this video). Do you know why this is?

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  4 года назад

      Well...the simple reason is that the Jitterbug simply does not work. It does nothing. It is a waste of money--which is the conclusion of all my tests. If you're stuck with the device or you want to keep it, all I can say is that the iPad may not be compatible with the Jitterbug, or you may need to use an original Apple adapter.

    Hold on! No Themes Review, although I am on your side for the third time, however, you keep on saying, "this little bit of plastic", but do you realize there are at least a couple of very small electronics within the the housing! Therefore, in theory it is those small electronics that are supposed to suppress RFI, and EMI along the signal path; before, and at, and after 19 minutes of the length of presentation. However, I agree with you 101%, especially what you have expressed concerning affordability! I recently bought a Topping D10 USB DAC. Then I went on later and made a purchase of this digital filter that is supposed to work wonders by cleaning the electrical signal of music so that it is cleaner, and more clear! Anyhow, thumbs up. Keep up the real, good work.

    I agree with you if we consider that the main function of the jitterbug is to clean and purify as a filter. But all the users that have enough sensitivity on their ears have realized that sound changes for the better. It is the pollution? It is the electronics of the device? We don’t know.
    Your arguments are nonsense. Conduct? Just for following their feeling and their ears and want improve their sound quality? We have free choice. I notice myself a big difference.
    Why are you using an iPhone? From my iPhone with dragonfly cobalt I noticed slightly change but where I found a big change is from My MacBook Pro from Audirvana with Tidal MQA tracks and jitterbug+Dragonfly Cobalt and either Sennheiser HD650 or Focal Elex the sound is much better and I won’t go on details but listen for yourself.
    And it changes on my main System too. For sure. Even my wife noticed that.
    Don’t makes us wating 15 seconds in silence while you’re listening and you keep talking not even listen correctly and madly suggesting to no be stupid by saying that you are not calling « us » stupid. 😆
    What if you had an auditive problem? Will be really annoying let you decide. I trust my ears.
    And remember that listening music it is very subjective depends on who are listening. To my brother playing a mp320 or a DSD it is the same. To him sounds equal.
    Anyway, I have to dislike your video and you are 100% responsible for that. No hard feelings. Keep trying. No one is 100% right or wrong. Thank you for the time spent reviewing.

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  4 года назад +1

      Hocus pocus nonsense. The main function of this device IS to “purify” and “clean” USB output. So you agree it doesn’t do that, but now are saying that it has some magical power to make sounds better? You’re free to buy whatever you want. You’re also free to believe whatever you want. But if you start passing this anecdotal misinformation as justification to buy the Jitterbug, then you’ll have to provide a lot more than fanciful beliefs and vague arguments. “Audiophiles” constantly claim people who disagree with them have bad hearing. That’s complete nonsense. It’s not we who have bad ears, but you who think you can hear vague differences you can’t even describe. AQ makes promises it simply cannot prove, and relies on arguments like yours to keep propagating the misinformation.

    Nice review... gimmicks like jitterbug makes us ''wonder'' if i use it i MAY have better audio quality so LET'S TRY it as it is NOT THAT EXPENSIVE. So many buy relatively cheap stuff that do nothing... There is the ambiguity and our will to BELIEVE it could help somehow the audio chain.

    This is gotta be a troll. You're running the clears on a mid-fi amp and listening to spotify.

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  5 лет назад +2

      I'm compiling a list of excuses people make to justify hifi products when those products fail. I'm putting this on that list.
      It makes absolutely no difference which amplifier you use or whether you listen to Spotify, Tidal, AIMP with FLAC, DSD, or find a way plug in your headphones directly into Rob Watts while he sings.
      Show me where on Audioquest's website, manual, or any credible publication it says that you have to use top-of-the-line components and sources to benefit from the Jitterbug.
      And while you're at it, please provide your justification for this remark. I'll include that, too, in my list so that everyone understands where you're coming from.

    • @AccuphaseMan
      @AccuphaseMan 5 лет назад +3

      @@NoThemeReviews To do an objective test, you need to be sure that the lowest common denominator or the bootleneck is what your testing. Its a pretty simple idea. If you have an entire chain that rapes the sound at every point you can't expect to hear a subtle change if any. Think of it as someone trying to test if a high end class a all discrete amp sounds better then some chifi amp but he tests it with youtube through beats solo headphones.

    • @NoThemeReviews
      @NoThemeReviews  5 лет назад +1

      @@AccuphaseManWhen you say "do an objective test" what you really mean is that I should add arbitrary requirements to a test. Who said that you can hear the difference only with top of the line products? Audioquest certainly doesn't make that claim. And Audioquest never says you should not use the Jitterbug in the manner I've tested. It doesn't say that the Jitterbug won't work with streaming services, or with Beats headphones, or anything of the sort.
      Rapes the sound? Are you serious? So people need to have really expensive gear to make use of a $60 piece of plastic, that's what you're saying? Using this little bug with the Mojo is not acceptable? What about using it with Audioquest's Red and Cobalt? Or the 789? Or ADI-2? Or the Brooklyn Dac+? What's "fair" to you? What price is good enough?
      You have yet to prove that the chain "rapes the sound." Just because you claim it does doesn't make it true.
      The lowest common denominator after multiple tests (there will be 4 videos with various devices by the end of today) is that this thing does nothing. There is no audible difference whatsoever. Watch all the videos.
