Power Electronics: A Blast from the Past, Professor Juan Manuel Rivas Dávila

Juan Manuel Rivas Dávila is Professor of Electrical Engineering.
He leads the Stanford University Power Electronics Research Lab (SUPERLab), which explores outside-the-box applications of high frequency power converters.
In 2017, Rivas Dávila was featured in Stanford’s Great Teaching Showcase, and he is heavily involved in department curriculum development.
Rivas Dávila’s research interests are in power electronics, RF power amplifiers, resonant converters, soft switching topologies, and design of power converters for operation in harsh environments.
