The Dodge Challenger R/T is a modern incarnation of a classic American muscle car, paying homage to the original Challenger models from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Here's a brief overview of its history and performance statistics:
    History:
The Dodge Challenger R/T was reintroduced in 2009 as part of the third generation of Dodge Challenger models. It was part of Chrysler's effort to tap into the nostalgia for classic muscle cars while offering modern performance and amenities.
The "R/T" stands for "Road/Track," indicating that the car is designed for both road and track performance.
    Design:
The Challenger R/T features a retro-inspired design that pays homage to the original Challenger, with a long hood, short deck, and muscular proportions.
It typically offers a range of exterior colors, racing stripes, and other customization options to suit individual tastes.
    Performance:
Engine: The Dodge Challenger R/T is typically equipped with a powerful V8 engine, delivering robust performance and a classic muscle car sound.
Horsepower: Depending on the model year and specific engine option, horsepower can vary, but it generally ranges from around 375 to 485 horsepower.
Torque: Torque figures also vary but are typically in the range of 410 to 475 lb-ft.
Acceleration: 0-60 mph times for the Challenger R/T typically fall in the mid-5-second range, though this can vary depending on factors like engine choice, transmission, and other performance options.
Top Speed: The top speed of the Challenger R/T is electronically limited but is typically in excess of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Transmission: Depending on the model year, the Challenger R/T may be available with a manual transmission (usually a six-speed) or an automatic transmission (usually an eight-speed).
Handling: While the Challenger R/T is known for its straight-line speed and muscle car demeanor, it also offers competent handling capabilities, especially when equipped with performance-oriented suspension and brake packages.
Overall, the Dodge Challenger R/T blends classic muscle car styling with modern performance and amenities, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts looking for a balance of nostalgia and contemporary driving experience.

hey bro, yeah I went z26 for same reason, cost lol, I have not experienced any difference in braking. The only negative iv heard on the forums is the z26 does have brake fade on the track because the oem brembos are slightly better at dissipating heat on the track. I have not issues with the z26 🙌🔥🫡
