I think this first episode of the new series, I think this was pretty standard for Doctor Who, where not really much goes on, and some parts of it were kind of didn't go nowhere, and I know that some parts were great, however, I thought that the Bogeyman was literally something that seemed very similar to something out of Space: 1999 or some similar monster from other Sci-Fi TV Series or Film, but I think that it was just too convuluted, in some areas, and I felt for a first episode, it was pretty standard but very convuluted at the same time, so I don't know if it will get better, but hopefully they will get better from here.

Can’t lie, I really hated these two episodes. Space Babies was a 3/10 and devils chord was a 1/10. For me it was as bad as episodes like the tsuranga conundrum, arachnids in the uk and the battle of ranskoor av kolos. Almost certainly in the top 5 worst episodes for me. So disappointed.

@@Thedarkknight27474wow thought the dr who community was welcoming to all opinions. Guess not. No need to get so aggressive, good for you if you liked it. Can’t point to a single thing I liked in either episode. Millie was the highlight and as much as I thought he would be good for the role, Ncuti still doesn’t feel like the doctor. The Christmas special is by far the best of the three but even that’s a 5/10.
How about you just accept that people will have different opinions. If you liked it, great but as someone who’s been a fan since 2005, I’d say these are two of the worst episodes since the revival.
While I didn’t like space babies, it was the devils chord that really didn’t work for me, went in with middling expectations but was still incredibly disappointed.
I do think a case can be made that the devils chord is the worst episode of the revival.

Seriously did anyone expect a story called Space Babies to be anything other than dire. Basically, an idea that should never have been taken beyond a embarrassed gasp. I hate that such an episode will have a huge influence on new viewers that will see it as an embarrassing children's show. On that point of late many like to refer to DW as a children's show. I question this. Warrior's Gate, Caves of Andrizoni, Genisis of the Daleks, Heaven Sent, all of Colin Baker's stories and most of Capaldi's are not something I would even let children watch. The Deadly Assassin being the most adult in tone. More accurately DW is a family show which sometimes has leaned towards children and on other occasions towards adults only.
I have given over three years of disappointed viewing to stick by my show but no longer. Life is too short to be watching TV like Space Babies. The constant nagging question about such a story is WHY? Please bring Moffat back and I'll come back too.
