Hi Tamara, what do you think about the Flat Profile that they added in the last firmware update? I have found that it is less contrasty and you can just add a bit of saturation to it to get a better look.
Oh gee now I want this instead of the DJI Action 4/5. I’m sure you have a video comparing the two- which I will watch next. This Insta Ace seems simpler to use though.
Another succinct, informative and engaging presentation! Picking up my new Ace Pro 2 tomorrow. Looking forward to testing it out, and will use your recommendations for video to start out. An area which no one really addresses is photos with Ace Pro 2. I really want to test the photos for quality and potential everyday carry camera. It would be great if you could offer us a photo oriented guide/introduction similar to the excellent presentation! So glad I found your channel!👍🙂
There have been tests on another channel comparing the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, GoPro 13, and Insta360 Action Pro 2. Only the GoPro overheated! The other two would either run out of battery or memory. I know the battery life of the DJI and Insta360 are also better than GoPro. I get well over 3 hours on my DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and still have 17% left on a bike ride!
Thanks for the video. Regarding pure video mode, how do you adjust since many recordings are looking very yellowish (you can see this a lot in several videos)? Or is insta360 coming with a firmware to fix this?
I use similar settings on my AP2 except for the EV and Active HDR settings. For the EV, I found for my use case it is a bit dark on average so I have it on zero - a preference thing. However I have found that in bright sunlight, with Active HDR on, grass tends to be almost luminous, I.e. way too vivid and fake. Switching Active HDR of the grass looks like grass. I also use Standard colour profile, and for similar reasons as yours.
Any reason you chose to use the Ace Pro 2 over the DJI Action 5 for the trip? Also do you have any kind of video editing 101 for newbie’s type guide lol.
The trips I went on were organised by Insta360 so it was a good opportunity to really put the Ace Pro 2 through its paces filming with nothing but that (and the X4). In terms of the editing 101, I have a beginners editing workshop that's available to watch instantly www.tamaragabriel.uk/video-editing-for-complete-beginners-workshop 😊
Insta360 is preparing something new for the next week. Do you know what it might be? At least on the presentation it looks like with the spherical lenses. So could be some sort of 360 camera. But it doesn't make sense to release X5 now. So maybe some sort of 360 RS 1-inch?..
Great video! Ace Pro 2's audio has greatly improved, loving the dual audio recording as well when using with bluetooth mic like the DJI. Also, I've noticed the BT connected audio sounds much better then the original Ace Pro. The DJI Mic Mini with the AP2 is great combo and the dual audio mixing capability is pretty wild.
Hello and thank you for your feedback. So you confirm that we can connect via Bluetooth either the Mics Dj 2 but also the Dj Mics mini ? And this directly to the Ace Pro 2 without going through the Dj receiver ? Thank you in advance for your answers. Kind regards, Philgood ...
Nice video. Just testing the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 for the moment, have use osmo pocket 3 for som time and i was very happy whit that. But not wheather safe.
As always your informative material THANKS , Tamara maybe you would have some knowledge about Insta 360 AC PRO-2 and GoPro Volta , I don't remember what company but they made something similar to Insta and Gopro and both are compatible with this grip only it is not as good as Volta it has no thread on the bottom to connect stik or tripod and power cable half mounted ( it looks bad ) and I thought maybe you have some knowledge if Insta with Volta will work powerbank for sure but the rest ? Greetings
Hello from Arizona ❤. Love your videos, just subscribed ❤ I also own the Ace Pro 2 as well as the DJI Action 5 Pro etc. Wish my videos were as good as yours. Btw, I lived in Swindon for almost 8 years...
I'm in the UK and surrounded by lots of large, leafless trees. I've noticed that the branches pulse in and out of view, as if the HDR processing can't make sense of a white/grey winter sky behind thin branches. This has ruined many shots and I've stopped using HDR. Ditto with lattice frame windows in the church. I wondered if you had noticed this?
Pure video is terrible when shooting with artificial lighting flickering are very bad. Had to change the iso n ss in manual setting to remove the flickering.

Hi Tamara! With the last update they finally introduced the flat profile that in my opinion is the best 💪💪
Thanks for the video, old man learning here and got the Ace Pro 2 early November.
Tamara I’m wondering if these settings apply to the AP1 besides the audio of course because of the AP2 new audio settings and mic setup.
Yeah, the ur e pretty much the same settings I’d use, the only difference is I’d use low sharpness on the AP1.
@ TY 👌

Yeah, I’d say that the Ace Pro 2 is pretty much pick up, point and shoot, it has some handy features that the other two don’t have as well.
I jut got my ace pro 2 today and was getting flickering issue.. thanks for tips. will try it tomorrow..

Thank you 😊 A few people have asked for a video about taking photos, I'll add it to the list!
Does is overheat?
It hasn't overheated on me yet.
I used the ace pro 1, in Pantanal Brasil, 2 days in 45 degrees Celsius. The camera has not overheated once, with regular use.

Hey! Welcome to the channel. Thanks for subscribing ☺️
I wish it had and could take advantage (high bitrate) of 10 bit color along with log.

I haven’t noticed. Next time I film around leafless trees I’ll have a look.
