My dad used to pay to have his fish cleaned after fishing in the lake there! The mangoes yes, just falling off the trees. Mangoes in the states are not the same. I was watching one of your videos in Portobelo a while ago and I thought, "Who is this lady that is going around to all of the places we used to go when Panama was our home?" and I started following your adventures there. Bouquete and El Valle were favorite holiday spots.
Patty, I visited Panama 🇵🇦 from US Florida last year and fell in love with it. I fell in love with the Panamanians. They have so much compassion for other human beings. It felt like home to me. I wish to move there. Interested in moving to the mountain areas. I can no longer handle the brutal heat in Florida as well as the cost of living. Seeing this video reminded me how much I want to be back there.
The Panamanian spirit is like chocolate with salted caramel 😊 Strong, sweet, surprising and suave. You’ll find your way back to Panama. I had the same experience of it feeling like home after my first visit.
@@staceybronson6724 It’s a bit challenging to find rentals in El Valle. The Valle de Anton Suites has large 1 bedroom apartments month to month. In town we have a clinic. There’s a hospital in San Carlos down the mountain. And there’s a larger clinic in Coronado for daytime needs.
Very Kool I have stayed there super nice you didn't take the boat tour that's nice well I'm here in Coronado lots of repairs and yes mosquitoes had a buffet on me. And lots of rain and thunder. Keep up with your videos
Here’s the link to the hotel. I’m sure they have different options. The tours they offer do cost extra except for the complimentary evening tour. www.gamboaresort.com/contact-us
Great video! We'll be staying there 3 days in August. We were at the resort in 2013 but didn't stay. We did the tram ride to the tops of the canopy! Doing a PRT 19-26 July. We wil be staying at the Caracoral Hotel and Spa Jul 30-Aug 1, maybe you can give us some insight?
Nice! You must be excited about all of that! Caracoral is right down the street from my place 😊 Great hotel, food is really good at the restaurant and it’s an easy walk into town.
stunning hotel grounds... and you almost had the outdoor area to yourself! very nice of Natalia to give you such an in depth presentation about the history of the hotel and tips about doing some of the nature walks. a bit of a turn off seeing all the military people there though. when I go away to a resort I want to forget about all the problems and corruption of the world, not be reminded of them.
She was so generous with her time! Seeing the army uniforms to me seemed like I was back in time so when it was a wonderful project they helped with but yes, generally I prefer not to see military, too 🕊

@@Pattybluehayes perfectly put ❤️ ❤️❤️. Are there any small places to rent in El Valle de Anton yearly ? Also are there medical facilities close by ?

@@Pattybluehayes Ok thank you so much for the info.
Such a beautiful filming my friend, gorgeous ambience!
I wish I had the equipment you have 🙏 Your filming is stunning.
Great video, thank you for this tour❤🎉😊
So glad you liked it!
Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing this adventure. This will definitely be one to place on my to-do list when I move there in July.
Thanks - glad you liked it 😊

Yay! You made it. Try lavender oil as a deterrent for the mosquitos. Nice rain here this morning. Everything is so green!
Fun fact: Jamie Lee Curtis and Pierce Brosnan filmed some scenes for the movie The Tailor of Panama there.
Oh how cool!
Great video Patty!!
Thank you!!
I was there in February! Great place!
Glad you enjoyed!
geez those howlers sounded creepy...
YES! I know 😆😮🫣
I lived in Gamboa. And Balboa. That place used to be the Gamboa Golf club resort in that location. And then someone gave my home away...😢😢
@@ddunn3489 Oh noooooo 😟 That’s awful. I don’t suppose you were able to get it back?
Yep it was awful. OCT 1ST 1979 Jimmy Carter gave the Canal Zone away...all us Zonians cried. @Pattybluehayes
@@ddunn3489 🇵🇦 Well, it was Panama’s territory but I can see how disappointing that would be.
Is this all inclusive hotel? How much is the night. Thank you. So beautiful.

actually they are the police. Panama does not have a military. Get used to seeing them.. they are everywhere. And that is why there is no crime!!!
