- Poland, backed by Hungary, has staged a revolt against European Union migration reforms, leading to deadlock that on Friday stretched into a second day at the bloc's summit in Brussels. The agreement aims to share the hosting of asylum seekers across EU countries, with those who refuse having to pay money to the ones that take in migrants.

@@darknebula455o it’s not true what You are writing, first of all from geographical point of view, Poland is Central Europe, from cultural and historical side, Poland is Western European country because is in Roman Catholic area of influence. So art, architecture, philosophy, science, all this areas was influenced by West, but because of size of “I Republic”, part of Poland was on areas that historically was influenced by Byzantium, so under rule of polish king and parliament was living also big majority of orthodox citizens. Poland from XVI century had freedom of belief, but king was always Catholic.

Hungary and Poland do not represent only 2 countries and their citizens, but they represent the majority of Europeans who do not want to support immigration but their governments do not represent them. I have been trying to make this point - Poland has every right to object to these "share the burden" policies when the entire rest of the EU have not even come close to sharing the burden with Poland of accepting and caring for Ukrainian refugees. The only reasonable way of dealing with it is to do it as humanely as possible within the EU democratic framework which has arisen out of the members states long history & tradition of accepting refugees.
However, I do think the EU should be doing more to stop the UN Security Council warmongering & displacing populations.

I’m not generalising but there have been cases of these males, because they’re undocumented/bring fake documents, coming into countries and committing serious crimes such as r*pe against children and women. Now I’m not saying the men already in these countries are not potential threats either but with legal immigration things such as criminal records are checked which means legal immigrants who are come pose a much smaller risk of being a threat.

I think you misunderstood the situation. EU is mainly about European people moving between european countries. They have passports and the rights to do that. Most of the Polish and Hungarian people are hardworking people (not benefit people).

Last week, Hungarian President Katalin Novák handed over a modern school in Nigeria built with Hungarian taxpayers' money. The school also received cows so that the children would have milk. Africans must be helped in Africa.

Hungary and Poland are the only countries still with some common sense and love for their own people.
This illegal migration issue has been pestering for many years both in the EU and in their so called parliament. To resolve this issue once and for all Democracy must rule. Those EU members who support this Illegal Migration issue should introduce the associated laws in their own countries only, and deal with it as it is dictated to them. However, in the case of Poland and Hungary who have accepted millions of bona fide refugees from Ukraine should be allowed to disagree and not promulgate any such dictates from the EU. In Hungary the Hungarian government has conducted a plebiscite on this question of allowing illegal migration into their country and the majority of people have disagreed and did not support the question of allowing illegal migrants to enter the country. Poland is also proposing to hold a similar referendum on the question of allowing illegals to enter their country. Should the people support this then they should also accept the dictates of the EU, but if they disagree then they should also be exempted from accepting this EU proposed law. End of Story. Stop harassing the people about this never ending question.

Migration is not human trafficking, and given that Poland accepted and took care of far more Ukrainian refugees than any other EU country, they have done far more than their fair share in this regard, and should not be made to pay if they don't accept as many migrants per capita as others do going forward. If anything, EU should be paying Poland and helping them care for the millions of refugees that they are providing shelter and food for.

I am not Polish but I live in Poland for more than 20 years (long before Poland joined the EU) and I must say that Poland was going very well economically without EU and growing very fast after the fall of the communism. Very good education system and doing business was much easier and profitable than now (legally with good sense). Most of the money that EU 'gave' was just a makeup to Poland looks more fancy but the main target is to hold and control , as We (the few main EU powers) doesn't need competing but cheaper and qualified workers. Poland is paying much more than received (many good Polish companies bankrupted and strategic places are controlled by foreign companies) Agriculture is much worse now than before. Today the number os Poles against EU would be 70%. Of course, for some people was a good change but for many it turned worse. I don't say it is totally negative to be in EU but just want to say that there is a lot of goodwill Poland is paying more than is receiving. Nobody is giving money for charity , all is perfectly though for lucrative interests (otherwise EU would even accept Poland to join the Union). Well, it is just my personal opinion, I prefer the Poland before EU.
Germany cannot decide about migration policies of Poland and Hungary. 'Herzlich Wilcomen' applies only to the host's house but not to his neighbors' dwellings. Is it really so hard to understand?

The decision about new immigration policy taken earlier by the European Council was illegal. If there is another step taken without unanimity on this issue, Hungary and Poland will certainly veto any amendments to the Current EU budget that could provide new money for implementation of such illegal decisions.
