BANZAI! Thank you so much for the Support mate!
Great video! Will definitely help me get started with 3rd edition. Would love to see this done with the Winter Fallschirmjager starter army as well!
Yes! Warlord Wednesday is back!
...on Thursday.
Love the video I was wondering if you would do something similar for the winter fallschirmjager. I’m new to the game and I am not really sure on how to build a good army. I would much appreciate if you did something similar for them.
I find the models very interesting. If I get tired of WH40K, or if GW just keeps wetting the bed, I'm making the switch.
Warlord is still cheaper than GW for now. I used to have GW everything with lord of the Rings. Then they pulled their shenanigans of instead of 24 figure boxes they made 12 figure boxes. Hero’s were $40-$50. So I stopped playing that and got into historicals. Then the Game came back and I sort of got back into it but not really. I’ve been doing Bolt Action, AWI and Napoleonics. Cheaper and more fun.
Konflikt 47 is getting an update soon....
Always good to branch out instead of playing one game cuz you can just switch to a different one when your current game is broken 😂. I switched to star wars legion when 10th was in a really bad spot, then i went to middle earth after star wars legion had a new edition and waited for them to fix all the new rules and then i went back to 40k once that was playable again and now im going back to bolt action or star wars since 40k is starting to get broken again 😂
@@ButchersNailsEnjoyer yes. GW loves fixing things that don’t need to be fixed. At least with Historical wargames if you don’t like one rule set you can use another. Example) Bolt action or Chain of command. Black Powder or Fire and Fury.
Good thing about bolt action is that the last edition lasted 8 years and just got a new one.
Warlord don't do massive rules overhauls so what army you make will be pretty much the same for years rules wise.
Very user-friendly review. Good place to get started in the game.
That’s a pretty decent way to set up a basic Bolt Action Platoon using this kit for beginners. My only suggestion is to make the BAR squads a bit smaller so the Assault Squads with SMGs can have more guys in them since they’ll probably take more casualties while closing the distance.
Also consider giving extra men to your Forward Air Observer. It really feels bad to lose your 75 point unit to a lucky LMG shot so paying a few points to give him some buddies is a nice thing to have. Maybe also consider doing three BAR squads and one Assault Squad that way you maximize the BARs you get in the box. I find that BARs are really good for American troops to put out pins so your more dedicated firepower can destroy the enemy.
Thanks for doing this. Love all your content. Do you think you could do this with the us army starter box too?
Didn't know you were a sharpes fan. Excellent.
Good tutorial.
I'd like to see one on the Japanese Banzai starter.
I have one of those in the pipeline and I'd be interested in your thoughts.

A couple of bazooka teams sounds great. I'd love to have something more effective than anti-tank rifles for my Italians or 8th Army British.
I’m currently painting my winter Germans and Americans. I keep flipping between brown or green coats. 🧥 I’m getting mixed references on what to paint them. The Germans are straight forward so that’s nice.
@natewatts195 Depending on what your unit is, or what the time frame is, mix and match. Veterans of the 29th ID would have had a mix of late WWI-early WWII shaded equipment, and the uniforms designed in 1944 began to make their way into the system around late 1944-early '45.
Anyone who spent time in England would have picked up some US-pattern equipment made in Jolly Olde, so there's shading options there too. Tell a story!
US greatcoats were a shade of Olive Drab that is mostly brown with just a hint or green. Technically “Olive Drab” isn’t a single color, but a series of greens, khakis and browns all fit slightly different purposes. Olive Drab Number 7 (OD7) is basically just a dark green, while OD3 is a much lighter green and OD2 is almost a khaki that fades to almost a tan color.
The shade of US wool uniforms such as the greatcoats, shirts and trousers are all basically just a medium brown. I use Army Painter Leather Brown and it works just fine.
@@Jon-t1z7zI was thinking of the 28th infantry division for my winter Americans. Since I’m a Pennsylvanian myself and it covers the Hurtgen Forest and Battle of the Bulge. However, my family and friends are saying not to get too specific just get them table ready. So I’m probably mixing browns and greens. That being said I’m also doing the 29th for my spring/ summer Americans for the DDay scenario we are setting up.
@@jonathanbirkeland1085 thank you for the information. I’ll see what I can do.
@@natewatts195 You've got some work to do. As a Virginian and Veteran 29'er, I thank you for leaning into my old units!
Could you make a video about the British/Canadian Starter Set? I think it's a pretty good deal; 36 infantry, machine gun, mortar, bren carrier, churchill tank... there's a lot of stuff in there.
If they re-do the early US Airborne troops in plastic I'll get in bolt action, no question.
They have announced new d-day era airborne!
Hello I’m wondering which box to buy I’m just getting into the game so should I get American starter box or winter starter box or should I get the bulge box and buy winter box to go with it and also get the rules and dice thanks
Anyone have recommendations for starters? Is this a good starter set or is something else preferable. Planning on making two armies that way i can play with friends, don't really care about tournament play, so are there any army v army sets that are worth the value?
