So a quick tip: if you don't like how the magnet moved the gel, then use the gel brush to spread it back out and try again! Since it isn't polish, it wont cure until it goes under the light. You can play around and get and effect you like. Also, they make a lot of magnets specifically for cat eye polishes, so it might be worth looking into those if people want to make these a lot. Some even pull the magnetic stuff into shapes like flowers and hearts. Like 10+ years ago when I was really into regular nail polish, it was pretty popular to use them on glass cabochons and put them into jewelry. This is like the upgraded version of that! 😂
Oh no! Something new to try!! This actually looks like a lot of fun! And you know I’ll be trying it soon. I’ve watched this video 3 times now and there’s a lot to learn. Thank you for this introduction! Later, gator, y
I have bought some of these magnet gels, but haven't used them in some resin project...I recommend you watch some videos on how to use the magnet to get different designs as well as, if I remember correctly, there are also different shaped magnets
With the gel polish, you can just give it a 10 second flash cure as you’re doing multiple colours. Then when you are finished you give it a full cure. It will save you so much time
To save your black polish, why not put black in your resin and put a thin layer on your mold. Then you can put the cat eye over it and it will still work. And yes there are many different magnets just for cat eye polishes, Even one with many lines on it so you don't have to do it multiple times
Thanks for showing these. I bought the bottles when Daniel did it but I moved onto something else by the time they arrived. Finally, I actually have all the things I need so I’ll give your version a try. ❤
There are tons of cat eye nail videos. You can make shapes with the polish. Since it won’t dry you can just paint over it again until you get what you want You can play with it as long as you need.
Super cute! I happened to get some of those same pendens from Temu.. I had been wondering what to do with them and seeing this, I know exactly what to do now!!! Thank you for the great video!
What wattage is your lamp, Barbara? I did a test today with my 36 watt uv nail lamp and it stayed sticky. I wonder if it's between resin if it needs to cure hard. 🤷♀️
@jayelleart oh shoot, I see it's unavailable now. :( Let's Resin has a new UV Lamp out that they are sending this month, and I'm excited to try that one too
Cool idea! Yeah I watched Daniel Cooper use it. He put the nail polish right in the resin and swirled it, then cured and then the black. I like both methods.
Thank you! I bought that set on Amazon for about $20 ish U.S.. But you can find single bottles for pretty inexpensive. I wonder though if the cheaper bottles would have a lack luster effect? I think it would be great to practice with the magnet though!

You can dilute the nail gel with plain U.V. resin, and make it go further.
Great idea Naudia! Thank you for the tip! ❤️
Thank you Naudia, that is a very helpful tip, as the bottles I have are tiny. x ❤

I love this stuff. I've had it for awhile. So much you can do with nail art stuff in UV resin.
Thank you! I'd never heard of Cat Eye Gel before going to the salon! I can't believe it's been there all this time and I'm just finding it. haha ❤️
Try flipping the magnet over? Use the opposite side if you think it's pushing away. Maybe the flip side will pull it in?
Oooh. I'll try that! Couldn't hurt! Thank you! ☺️
What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!
Thank you!! Happy New Year! 😊
Cool idea! Yeah I watched Daniel Cooper use it. He put the nail polish right in the resin and swirled it, then cured and then the black. I like both methods.
Ohhhh ok! I knew he used it for something, but I was looking for something like this technique on his channel. . I'll have to check it out. Thank you!
@@resinnut9335I haven't seen anyone do the technique that you have. They look great. Thank you for sharing x

Happy New Year you baaaaad person, you just inspired me to go buy Cat Eye nail polishes, primarily for my nails but you never know. 😉😉😍😍
Hahaha Grace!! 😁 Let me know how your nails turn out and if you decide to use with resin!
This is so cool. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much!!! ❤️
I ordered so many bottles, now that I know what to do, I hope there still good. I ordered over a year ago.
I bet they're still okay? Just shake them well. :)
What a great project!❤
Thanks so much Kim! ❤️
Hello. I am glad you're doing this. I ordered polish like this over a year ago but didn't know how to use it with the magnet?
Oh man Lorena! It's so much fun! You should give it a try!
That looks like a lot of fun. I just dont have patience. 😂
Rebecca!! You can do it!! You really don't need "much" patience because it's a quick and pretty simple project! ❤️
I wonder if we could get whatever powder that is magnetic in the gel to mix with uv gel?
I was wondering if the magnetic polish would work with resin.
Come a the wet polish from a different angle with magnets.
This is amazing, very cool. How much did the polish cost 💲?
Thank you! I bought that set on Amazon for about $20 ish U.S.. But you can find single bottles for pretty inexpensive. I wonder though if the cheaper bottles would have a lack luster effect? I think it would be great to practice with the magnet though!
Be good to turn your light away from your work area. It will definitely affect your other projects and polish on your brushes
😍👏💜
Thank you Doreen! 💓
