I’m debating on the vivo4 or the Fitbit charge 4. I like the smallness of the vivo and am more worried about my sleep, HR, and BP. I plan to where it like a bracelet and not even use it for a watch. Which would you recommend?
why should you care its the item i care about and the info you tell me when it comes to you i don't care about you or what you look like i just like the info you gave thank you
I love my Vivosmart 4. It is my alternative to broadcast my HR while i’m riding my bike instead of using the annoying HR chest strap. I Only have it for less than a year since i bought it. But the Bessel fell out the other day for no reason. It still works though. but it looks ugly without the Bezel around the screen. I have Contacted Garmin about it. Will replace it with refurbished one.
I've been wearing my $30 mi band 2 for 3 years with zero problems. Battery lasts for a month. It's small, light, and accurate. It's got heart rate sensor. What else do you need from a fitness tracker? Why would anyone spend $200 (CAD) on a similar device from Garmin, Fitbit. etc...is beyond me.
Hi, I'm thinking in getting this Garmin, but most reviews I read mention how inaccurate it is detecting sleep, heart rate and so on. I don't like wearing watches on my wrist so really like how small it is, I'd like to avoid the Fitbit charge 4. I know you mention it in the video, but how much of a change in precision did you notice with the software upgrades?
Just noticed it was as accurate as my other sleeptrackers. So I kinda believe them now. You’ll never know exactly if it’s accurate or not. I do know that the heart rate is accurate for me! Just try it out.. its a fairly cheap watch so if you dont like it you can always sell it!
Ive been doing some light research all week about this and found that unless you're going for the dreem2 (which is quite expensive), garmin is at 69% accuracy, fitbit is 72%, and oura ring is a little less than 60%. The added bonus of the vivosmart4 is it can also read blood oxygen level +/- 2% from a very accurate SpO2 night wearable (lookee i believe). So you get the added bonus of seeing if you may have sleep apnea and require a CPAP too. It really depends on your needs
Definitely planning on getting either this or the Vivosport HR. Are you able to turn off Bluetooth on this watch? I'm looking for a low radiation smart watch! Thanks :)
I am thinking on buying this one i was using fitbit inspire hr, just wanna know how much the heart rate has been improved? I am not able to find the recent reviews about the heart rate. Thanks
Good review liked it a lot. Two question: Have u comparrison to the oura ring? Whats your opinion on the body battery status and stress tracking feature of the vivosmart 4?
Sorry for the late reply! I’ve never used the ring since it was quite out of my price range. The body battery and stress meter were usually turned off since it didn’t give me any knowledgeable info :-)!
Great video my friend! Can't believe you don't have more views/subscribers with the quality work, but keep up the great content, hope your channel gets big! 😁
Hi Sjoerd, I am torn between this and a charge 4 because on top of the sleep tracking and stress monitoring. I also do crossfit and I am not sure which would be a better tracker for that. Thanks in advance for your answer
If you'd really want to use one of these for working out, I would choose for a more advanced option. Besides tracking sleep, steps and running (in combination with phone GPS) this one doesn't really do that much!

Hi, thank you for your good sharing information. I am considering for this just for tracking my heart rate, calorie burn & laps for JUMPROPE exercise. Mind to share your opinion on this? Thanks in advance 😘🤩
I currently have a Garmin VA3 ... I find its HR sensor annoying sometimes, I seem to throw it off by sudden increase in activity ... and it will think my heart is still like 60bpm!! sometimes for the entire workout! Its like half what it should be or sometimes even a 1/3rd. Given that fact, would you say changing it to VS4 ... would change anything? also any other benefit? Or would it be more of just a "sidegrade"?
Its strange, since I never had one of these issues myself. Perhaps it has something to do with the way some wrists are made? Like, how deep you vains are hidden under the skin? Sounds stupid but who knows!
Its strange, since I never had one of these issues myself. Perhaps it has something to do with the way some wrists are made? Like, how deep you vains are hidden under the skin? Sounds stupid but who knows!
Hey! Thank you for the two great videos you did about the Garmin watch. I'm looking for a small activity tracker and found the vivosmart 4. I think it sounds like a really good watch. I have a question about the running tool. So, I want to track my run, but only my time and distance. I don't need to know where exactly I've been running as a GPS would show me, plus I don't want to take my phone for a run all the time. My question is: can I track my running session in regards to time and distance without using the GPS? Have a nice day!
Tatjana, Thanks for checking out both videos. Means a lot! The answer is; YES. You can. The distance is measured by the amount of steps you made. This is calculated in the app (connect app). You can adjust the distance your running pace is, for example, I am 182cm, and let's say I have a pace distance of 1.5m. If you measure this out, you'll get quite an accurate graph. Luckily, if you fill in you size, weight, length etc. Garmin will use the avarage pace (step) distance. So you're good to go. In order to do this, you do not need your phone! You can start a running session on the watch itself, then later once you've showered and stretched out on the sofa, sync your device and voila. Done! Let me know if you bought one and what you thing of it ;-)
@@SjoerdWess Wow! Thank you for the super quick response! In this case, I will quite definitely buy one. I'm going to let you know how it works for me! You seem like a nice guy making good videos. Looking forward to watching more of them:)

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't. Though, I have to say that I'm not familiar with the effect of a pacemaker. But essentially, this tracker tracks a heartrate found in your wrist, so nothing special there!
Hi, can you turn off Bluetooth and then enable 3 /4 times a day to just sync all your data in one go? So, let’s say I turn it off all before I go to bed and turn it back on when I wake up just to sync all the sleeping data. Or the same with step counting, spend a few hours with Bluetooth off and then enable to sync all at once. I don’t think I’d like to have Bluetooth all day on and would like to avoid it if possible. @@SjoerdWess Ah, thanks. Great that it’s possible. Probably it’s a bit silly, but I don’t like the idea of constant radiation emitting at all times (and so close to my skin) by wearing the tracker. I know that probably it’s a bit silly, as we are already constantly surrounded by all types of radiation, but it’s nice to limit it if possible. I completely get what you’re saying! You can turn off bluetooth in the device itself, so that will definitely solve your problem! Syncing just requires you to briefly turn it back on! Its nice to hear you take such good care of your family and personal health! You go man!!
I found the SP02 readings are always 3-5 percent off on the low side. Anyone else? Also heartrate while cycling is pretty much half what it should be at times.

I must admit that I do not exactly know what you're talking about. I always just use the GPS function of the watch to connect with my phone and that always works.
@@SjoerdWess thanks for the response! say you are running on a track and want to mark your lap manually. What do you press mark each and every lap you do?

If I wake up and then go back to.sleep 3 hours it will not count that as sleep. 4th You talk about no other features like the body battery which so far is very inaccurate as well for me. Overall bad video
Thanks for stopping by.
First. This video is made because I like the watch and it’s features and I couldn’t care less about the fact that you don’t like it.
Second. I talk about the features I find important, and for me they worked excellent. So you might use it wrong.
Third, I thank you for watching, but it’s sad to see you being negative about everything. Brighten up amigo ;-)
@@SjoerdWess it's not negativity it's truth. You can't handle the truth doesn't mean it's negative. It was a waste of time to watch. Congrats
Haha, please learn some moral code and manners. The fact that I get a ton on positive feedback and positive questions states otherwise. Thanks for checking in.
I just discovered that this piece of garbage has no replacement bands. So if it breaks (like it happened to me after 1 year) you're f*cked.
Luckily you can find these seconds hand for 30/40 bucks
Yawn....
Yep
Ugly design
