I can say this with full confidence.. I long for the day when my sin is gone completely and I can serve the Lord with complete devotion. That’s a longing in my heart that doesn’t fade even when I’m sinning. I also can’t imagine my life without Jesus in it. It grieves me to even think such a thing. Oh Lord help my unbelief.

      ‭‭1 Corinthians 5:9-13 KJV‬‬
[9] I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: [10] yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. [11] But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. [12] For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? [13] But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
      ‭‭1 Corinthians 6:9-10 KJV‬‬

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

I had received salvation April 19, 2020.. I was on fire for the Lord and in the Word and praying and fasting. From that very next day He changed me. My brain my heart He changed. Then in May 2023 I fell into temptation of going out and I drank and I did things. There is a humongous difference with sin after receiving salvation, The Holy Spirit convicts me during my sin. So.... I have no pleasure in drinking whenever I do actually drink. Before receiving salvation during my sins I enjoyed the sin and didn't feel bad.. we only sin against God. And it's a horrible feeling. I know I don't lose my salvation, but I yearn to hear Him say my good and faithful servant..... And the crowns I want to earn to lay at his feet... I keep picking myself up and running the race.. I just want to be a good friend to my Savior and I haven't been. I owe Him everything... I will never be able to repay Him for what He paid for.. the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE that no one is ever to repay.

Being deceived is painful, but more painful to have sinned against the Creator of earth and heaven. My encouragement is to sincerely call on the name of the Lord Jesus being sincere in prayer and confess to the Lord that you need His help. God, be merciful unto me a sinner. -Luke 18:13.

Many seeds sprouted to some degree, but only the seeds that fell on fertile ground grew roots and sprouted healthily. There are many false starts in human spirituality. The acceptance of the conversion of the thief on the cross reveal God's grace in a specific situation. Those of us on the ground must show growth and maturity. If a person does not have that, if they are not filled with the Holy Spirit, they are not saved. If you are not certain of your salvation, something is wrong. Do you know Christ? Are you in His presence? Are you seated in the heavenlies with Christ? If you do not know the Lord, you are not saved. To receive total assurance, simply believe the promises of God. For example, how can you not be sure you are saved if you are 'seated in the heavenlies with Christ'? If you are in fellowship with God, then you do not worry if you will be in fellowship with God in heaven.

Yes, it’s great to see progress. To God be the glory! But I would encourage you to not to spend too much time looking inside yourself. Look up instead. Focus on Jesus-the lover of our souls-and our blessed future with Him! Remember what He did for you.

One thing about the thief on the cross was that he actually believed who Jesus said He was. That thief knew he deserved to die, but he knew Jesus did not deserve the death he was given.
That was the difference with the thief, and Jesus told him that he would be in His Kingdom because he actually knew he had met God in the flesh.
I believe if the thief had another chance to live, he would live his life completely different after having a heart changed.
Everyone quotes that scripture believing they can do as they please and have no consequences for their actions.
The other thief did not have a heart change. This is what must happen. We must turn from our sinful ways. How many today are in the same situation at that thief, been crucified? Let's compare our lives to Jesus and walk with Him, imitating Him in all our ways until He brings us home. Shalom

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. [10] He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. [11] And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [12] He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. [13] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Friel is a Calvinist, and they hold a works based salvation, in which they believe a truly saved person will demonstrate works.

Remember, salvation is to have 'rivers of living water bubbling up inside.' If a person is not in the presence of the Holy Spirit, they are not saved. It is not a question of us judging our salvation, but does the Holy Spirit bear witness that you are a child of God (Romans 8.16)? We are not the judge! It must be a friendship with God. We must be aware of His presence. Salvation is knowing Christ. He died on a Cross so that we may be in fellowship with Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Here's the thing: I can't find anyone else there like me, but if I do, they're lost. In other words, I'm starting to think that if I want friends who are of Christ, I'm going to have to talk to them about him first

@@thedaltoid0266 I am an old man & I find fewer & fewer folks who love God & His Word. We must be transformed..our minds are renewed through His Word, by the Spirit(See Rom.12:2)
We need fellowship, but we must remember that God did not save us for ourselves, but From our SELF & from His Wrath, for His Glory, Purpose & Plan.
Our most important relationship is with Christ. Until we are satisfied in Him, we will not find contentment in any other relationship.
Stay in the Word. If you have problems reading it, then listen to it! 😉 I encourage you to focus on the Gospels & New Testament for now. Being young, Proverbs (OT) will give you wisdom. Psalms may help you to gain understanding as well & teach you how to pray.
I always tell young believers & new believers to start in John. Maybe read it over again. The Word builds our faith.(Ro.10:17)
👉The Word is the foundation of our Faith & all we can know in this life about God. He speaks to us through His Word.
We speak to God through praise & prayer, but we can not do those things effectively without His Word!...The Word teaches us how to pray & what to pray for, as well as how not to pray!
The Word teaches us that God saved us to serve. It is impossible to serve God without serving His people, so it is important to find a good Church.
If we are in the Word, praising God & praying to God, serving our brethren & being edified by them, it will produce confession of our faith & that is the reason God saved us...to share the Gospel.
I am confident that God will give you friends that love Him & His Word, as well as every other thing you need to follow & serve Him...👉if 👈 you continue to pursue His ways, rather than your own ....(See Proverbs 3:5-6

I had let life get me down and I was not in the word and prayer communication with my heavenly Father. Bitterness had crept in. I was not abiding in Christ, and I was trying to carry too much of life as duty, and I was missing the joy. The sad part is I was affecting my children with this messed up perspective. I asked God for forgiveness and if He would heal me and not cut me off and cast me out. I am not perfect, because only the Lord Jesus is, but I hope the difference is as clear to those I may have mislead as it is to me.

Nope! It's the same argument for a "faith without works is dead" statement. We are saved by Grace, through Faith and that Grace produces in us a Godliness that is not something we intrinsically have. This video isn't a 'to-do' list, it's a 'what to look for' list - just as Christ commanded us to "look at the fruit" so that you know whom that soul belongs to. I pray this helps you to see the intention behind this video - many people are continually attacked by the thought that they aren't "truly Saved" and this is meant to console them/ challenge others. As was said at the beginning, many of us won't hit all 15 points until we are in Glory. May The LORD Bless you and Keep you today xx

The new commandment is to believe on Jesus 1 john3:23...loving God is not a prerequisite for salvation any more than turning from sin...only believing is!... its about His love for us!!! While we were yet sinners Christ died for us!!! So no need to worry my friend...God made it super ez to be saved...and He wants us to have full assurance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. May the Lord bless you!
Do you know the story of the Israelites in the wilderness? They could have entered the Promised Land, but they did not believe the promises of God. That is why they all died in the desert. The same holds true for the Christian today. God has given us promises that most Christians either ignore or are unaware of. For example, if you are not certain about your faith, what does the Bible say? According to the Bible, you can enter the 'Promised Land' of absolute assurance of your salvation.
For example, referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me shall have rivers of living water bubbling up inside." As believers, we should be 'seated in the heavenlies' with Christ. Salvation is a relationship. It is being friends with Christ. How does anyone make friends? For me, my first prayer was, "Is there Jesus? I would like to meet Him!" When I met Christ, all heaven filled my soul and it felt like my heart was made out of gold. I am in continuous fellowship with Christ.
Receiving the Holy Spirit is the easiest thing to do! Jesus said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Yet, make sure that you believe in the promises of God or you shall not enter in. Boldly claim the promises of God as King David did, saying, "Lord, remember your promise..." You could make that same prayer, "Lord, remember your promise, that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks, that they will be filled with rivers of living water, the Holy Spirit bearing witness with my spirit that I am a child of God (Romans 8.16)." Jesus died on a Cross, not so that we might live in doubt and insecurity. As it is written, we may 'boldly enter' before the throne of God, making our requests known - according to the promises of God. I hope this post is a blessing and a help to you. As with anyone, check everything you hear against the Bible.
Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

I am continually concerned about a family member who has been a professing Christian for many years but seems to have no desire for spiritual growth or pursuing fellowship with other believers, unless those “believers” are just as lukewarm and lacking in spiritual maturity. It seems downright impossible to voice these concerns without seeming judgemental and incurring anger! At the same time, it is incredibly concerning when a professing believer does not appear to be genuine. The worst part is that they are still acting as ambassadors for Christ but they don’t really take it seriously. They end up hindering those who are lost and making it even harder for them to believe. I don’t want my loved one to miss the boat, but to be honest, I am just as concerned for the lost souls who actually believe that he is a Christian.

So where is trusting Jesus? Either He is the author and finisher of my faith or He is not. He is either faithful to His Word or He isn't. Are we looking for signs or are we looking to Him because He actually IS trustworthy? I keep having these moments of clarity that feel like I just got saved. Does this mean I wasn't saved before or is it the Holy Spirit deepening my understanding? I wish Peter. Paul, and John were here so they could tell us what salvation and sanctification looks and feels like.

I got about 0.5 of 1 of these. I go to church, but not often eagerly. I read the Bible because I should, but not because I want to. I change my habits outwardly, but the inward love for the world remains. I fear and usually try to obey God, but I don't love Him. I apologize for my sins, but I don't weep over them. When I put God first, it's only to get Him out of the way more quickly. Wish there was a switch we could flip to start seeing and feeling the way God does, but until that happens, I and probably a lot of you are stuck doing the best we can and praying that it's enough by the time we die.

    • @nameirrelevant0
      @nameirrelevant0 6 месяцев назад

@AVB2 Then what did you do to change it? I've already asked Jesus to cover my sins with His blood, I've tried to repent and change a lot of my behavior, I attend a church faithfully, make an effort to read the Bible every day, and pray regularly. There's not a whole lot left to try, but nothing's happening.

@AVB2 So, in short, keep doing the right things and hope that some sort of assurance will emerge on its own before death? Doesn't sound at all like the "solid rock" the Bible speaks about, but apparently it's the best we can hope for.

You’re not a convert. You’re trusting in your own efforts to please God & rejecting Christ Who died for the sins of those who repent & put their whole trust in His finished work of redemption. So, no absolute sign of certainty. All of these are variable. Do I truly love God, or just have a fondness for Him? Have I truly stopped loving the world, or just like it less? In other words, you CAN'T know for sure, despite what anyone tells you. So, someone tells you they know for sure they are saved. Hmmm...could they be self-deceived? Seems the only true peace is for those who simply convince themselves they are saved, never allowing themselves to doubt it, even for a moment. But then, they could be the most severely self-deceived of all.

We receive salvation as we are gifted grace through "faith".
When we truly believe in Lord Jesus we welcome Holy Spirit.
In the true Lord Jesus of scriptute and not our little versions of all the things we agre or like about him.
You either take it or leave it, there is NO in between.
This words comming from a former witch, Death worshiper.
Read your bible, do your own work...faith is not a feeling, its a commitment!
When we stay in his precense and the Lords word daily. The Spirit frees the faithful rrsulting in fruit. We dont do "the good work" to earn salvation. We do good deeds because we know that Lord Jesus is worthy of EVERY SAVRIFICE!
That is why the entire new testament is giving you all the proof and reasons to believe! ❤
That Lord Jesus is the Son of God and he IS GOD! ❤ Halleluja!

The only “sign” that proves someone is saved is if they believe the gospel, which is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If you believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again on the third day you are immediately sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). Repentance is a change of mind. (Jonah 3:10 KJV) Stop trusting in your own efforts to get you to heaven. You don’t have to stop sinning, join a church, “give your life to Jesus or “choose to follow Jesus” (Judas followed Jesus and never believed). If you Believe on Jesus you are saved (Acts 16:31). And 1 John 5:13 says you can know it.

Do you believe in the gospel? If you have the faith to do so then you are saved. When God called He gave you the faith to believe and thus you know you are Spirit reborn/called/justified/OSAS. By the time you reach out to God/repent/say a prayer, it's too late, you are already saved.

I believe rhe 1st sign is this when you lot at the God of the Bible was it your choice to follow Him and do you understand that you are only able to follow Him by the Jesus covering and by the conviction and move of the Holy Ghost. God has to intervene for us to be saved. 2nd the fruits Jesus said you will know a tree by its fruit and every fruitless tree gets cast in the fire I also read a devotional talk about when Jesus curse the fig tree and look the tree jad leaves , but it had no fruit an image Godliness, but denying the power there of. Jesus said in a parable that he had seen a vinyard with fruits, but also with throns and thristles and when the servants thought to cut those vines Jesus in patience and endurance which are 2 fruits of the spirit said wait untill the harvest in otherwords when fruit os full grown to cut those bad vines. If we are His we will grow fruit. 3 are you offended for Christ do you care about Gods honor and not just to get a political debate, but do you care about how people use His name and how those who claim Him represent Him. 4 do you feel guided by God, Jesus said my sheep know my voice they hear me when I call. If you love God even if you don't love God you know the truth from a lie, when you here the trith youll respond in line with that and not woth lie. Yes we sin yes the enemy is an accuser of the brethern, but 1John 1 says "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." If you were once walking in the light please just repent let it go turn around if you stole if you can give back what you stole amd steal no more. If you lied confess what you lied of you can to that person and lie no more and if you masturbate every time you're tempted get on your knees and pray till God is all you think of or go to a public place or call someone and you don't have to be specific, but ask them to pray Gods hedge of protection over you, if you struggle with anger pray God's goodness over your enemy, but don't keep sinning if you know the truth go to the truth

John 6:28-29 King James Version (KJV)Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Whatever happened to, for those who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved?
How about this for instance.. while someone is pointing out someone's noticeable sins how about the ones that are doing the pointing and there unnoticed sins... Like gluttony that's a good one to look at people need to be careful that they're not practicing hypocrisy too.. I can sure tell you we can't do enough works to get my righteousness comes from Jesus he's the one that does the saving...
