No one will ever blame this rescuer for taking a nap with a baby otter... And thank you for the children who did the right thing

What kind of human baby have you seen with webbed feet/hands?
@@Eralen00 You'd be surprised. Nature has a wonderful sense of humor.

Otters are in my top five of cutest animals. Their hands; the way they eat; their adorable vocalizations; their playful nature, I’m smitten by otters.
Funnnnnn fact:
Otters are close relatives to wolverines, honey badgers, skunks, or mustelids. They carry those same traits of aggressiveness on as well.
I mean, you can look it up, otters are some of the most vicious, bloodthirsty, and dangerous animals out there. One of the, isn’t strong, but when they are in a gang they are brutal.
@@technobladefan7791 true
They hold hands with each other so they don't float away.
They also have a little pouch they keep their favorite rocks.
@V I B E S they are an UNASSUMING cute fluffy animal that will not hesitate to maul your eyes out
@V I B E S "stop focusing on literal animals"
Awww The first rescuer bonded with him like he was her baby. When you take them to bed with you, your heart is going to get hooked. ✨💖✨
I’m proudly South African and this makes me feel sooooo good! We really appreciate wildlife 🦦🦦🦦
🥰
How’s that “hating on whitey” racism going on down there? Still going strong? And you’re letting it happen? Nice.
@@crypastesomemore8348 Shush. Don't bring your hateful agenda in here when it's not even being discussed.
Most South Africans I have come across enjoy hunting for sport.
After I see videos of people looking after and caring for animals such as these....at times I think that mankind will evolve into something useful...
We don't "evolve," becausevGod created us. We all have the ability to love and we all have the ability to do evil. The evil people don't listen to their God given conscience, which provides the knowledge of good and evil, and all that lies between.
Hopefully 😊
@@florencelinderman3797 the only way humanity will evolve is when people stop believing there's an invisible man in the sky that created everything and start believing in themselves
@@florencelinderman3797 I don't believe in a god, but that doesn't mean I don't have a conscience or know right from wrong. On the contrary, I think looking at nature through the lens of science without a belief in the supernatural allows us to understand just how valuable and irreplaceable life can be.
I agree with you...
But I think this level of evolution, will take a long, long time..
If we still exist of course....
I love how she called her brief but crucial role in their lives a gift.

Otters are blood thirsty savages lol. It’s hard to believe but they really are.
Look at their fingers, it's unbelievable.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Holding that bottle was shocking, I never realized they had such human like hands
@@wilsonserv they are incredibly dextrous and are so good at manipulating things, smashing shells with rocks, holding onto things etc.
It was one of the things that amazed me when I first learnt about them.
I didn't expect them to be in SA for some reason.

Hello there
Hey
Hi
Hello
I’m married, almost 28 years. Please stop.
Those lil hands are so human like! and that lil squeek is just 🥺
Look at those little hands. I love otters. 😍
Hi how are you doing
Hey
Otters are so intelligent and smart animals...and look at their little hands 🥺
“We see footprints from these two all around” man that last line touched my heart!
Glad the baby otters had each other to watch their backs when they were released.
Long story in brief: I rescued a Dusky Wing Swallow and, after hand-rearing for two weeks, I took him to the wildlife park where they had ... another Dusky Wing Swallow! Mine flew out of my hand - it was the first time, after having been given ample opportunity - straight up to the other one, and they were really excited to find each other. Hugely soul-enriching.
Otters have always been my Favorite animal! Thanks for sharing!!!
Hey
Such cutie pies!

How lucky for Oscar to share his life with humans and vice versa.

Hey
I'm glad they were reintroduce back to the wild instead of becoming someone's pets.
Hey
I agree Dragon Heart! It always breaks my heart to see wild animals become pets. People think that it's cute, but it's wrong. Only interfere with wildlife if they are hurt, orphaned or clearly disoriented. These children did the right thing and instead of trying to domesticate the otter they got it to where it needed to go. Great save all around!
@@Megan-cd6sh I agree but what I don’t like is when an animal can’t be released back into the wild and they don’t do anything with it just sits in a cage if it was me if I knew an animal couldn’t be released back into the wild at least I will have a ambassador or something like that
The World really needs more people like you .

I love how the rescuer was able to play mom during Oscar's most vulnerable time, but still able to let him go as to let him become more-or-less "wild". P/S, am I the only one, that goes directly to the linked I.G. page of a multitude of Dodo videos ( if available) and "follows"? LOL

Thank you for teaching your children that not every animal's a pet 🙏🙂🙂
Oscar and Nicci are just adorable.
Thank you for taking care of this precious baby.
Watching Oscar drinking from a garden hose flashed me back to my childhood, decades before filtered or bottled water.
And it wasn’t even necessarily your own garden hose. My mind also went back to that and I remembered how we were basically pack animals 😂 running around the neighbourhood and taking a sip in whoever’s back yard we happened to be passing through
It wasn't only me? 😂 Whenever Dad got the hose out in the summer, either to wash the car, the house windows or to top up the fish pond, I'd be at the wet end in moments 🤣
Wow - you just took me back 50 years!
Dude, garden hose water is the best
@@cautionTosser So glad to hear others remember those times. Nowadays, kids would think you were CRAZY to do that. And wonder why you were outside in the first place!
