In 2018 there really is not a Harley Davidson .. but Vance and Hines worked hard last Winter and seems to be competitive .. The Vance and Hines bikes do say Harley Davidson on the gas tanks .. I bet you can't buy one for $50,000 like you can the Indian .. It seems I read that Buell had a pretty good road race program going when Harley pulled the plug on him ... The AMA had been handing capping all the other brands since about 1960 .. I guess the new rules are a good ideas as attendance doubled in 2017 with a like more bikes trying to qualify too .. I like Indian , Yamaha , Kawasaki , KTM,, but It would be neat to see competitive Triumphs too .. Ducati Suzuki .. Husqvarna too.. You see all the main Jap brands in the Singles .. Rules stipulate an affordable production bike in that class..
boy they sure did. HD had given Eric the green light on a dirt bike too using half a Sportster engine type thing....something to compete in AMA SX and MX. With the following that has seems like it would have been a REAL smart thing to do but I guess Willie G and his HD management team must have been smokin' some bad weed one day at the corporate meeting...(pretty sure that is all they do at those meetings)...and pulled the plug on that idea too after a year or less.... i never cared much for HD anyway and never could understand what all the hoopla was about HD motorcycles big heavy chrome tanks. The only time they are competetive at anything is when the rules handicap all other brands or if it is a Harley only class.
Libby, Put a 100 pound lighter 2 speed speedway bike on that track and you would sidewaze make them twins look silly. Push a 100 pound lighter bike around the corner with the rear wheel hanging out and you really pull some G's

I wonder how much is Meese and how much is the FTR 750?. He looks like he is toying with the other front runners.
i was at my local indian dealer few months back chatting about an FTR750.. was between 55-60,000 CAD.

My name is Bigg Bohls.
The mile oval where men are men and you can't fake it 'til you make it!
I guess HD really messed up when they got rid of Erik Buell.
