@@DarksideGmss0513 We haven't seen her usefulness in a Jorus sort of way. Battle meditation not very cinematic, I admit. The red witches are more Jorus though as the ''support magic'' class.
I wondered why Sabine didn't once seem to question how Ahsoka even managed to get to Peridea. I'm glad that she acknowledged that she thought Ahsoka was dead, but she didn't say, "Wait. How did you manage to get here without a map and without a vehicle?"
I hope the death of Ray Stevenson will not derail whatever the long-term plan was for the new power that Baylon was seeking David Filoni claimed that he couldn't go forward with the Ranger of the Republic (or whatever) series without Cara Dune. Instead of recasting Cara Dune or just doing the show without the character, he scrapped the series. I don't want whatever the new power story plan to be scrapped because of Stevenson's untimely demise.
What I hope to see is a really good story. I'd like to see the smart version of Thrawn compared to what we saw in the last episode. How about we finally see Sabine tell Ezra what she did to get there, other that saying, "it's complicated". Hope to see more about Baylan and his quest...I expect someone to die or not make it back.
Thrawn was shown to be a fool in episode 7. Sabine, who is his prisoner, is allowed make demands and be insulting to Thrawn and he capitulates to her every demand- gives her her armor back, weapons and a lightsaber? Why? Then sends his forces to attack them with gunships and they don't use the gunships and looses the resources he claims are scares? Thrawn is not a military genius in this show. He is shown to be a military fool
what should happen is Thrawn get 3 Ezra, Sabine and Ahsoka as prisoners. Go back to their home galaxy and Make a deal for their lives with Hera gaining an ultimate advantage in just one shot. But what will happen is something way more stupid.
@@joaopedrorosa6198 lol, what will happen is Thrawn seems like he won and is headed back to his galaxy but while he is letting the garbage out of his star destroyer Ahsoka, who was separated from Sabine and Esra, sneaks her ship next to it and attaches on and heads back home undetected. Esra and Sabine look as though they will get stranded however they knock out a few stormtroopers and put on their armor and just walk right onboard with the rest of the stormtroopers just before the it takes off and hijinx ensue- or the end credits whichever doesn't really matter.
I think the fact that Ezra's come to completely rely on the force is a great setup for ysalmiri. Imagine a scene where he rushes in, confident and unarmed only to see Thrawn with one around his neck and a gauntlet of troops led by Enoch. If Thrawn wasn't visually so unconvincing, maybe he could even fight him himself.
i know of things that won't be resolved this season and in any other tv form: Why there was a map to Thrawn? Why it leads to him? Why it was on some kind of jedi temple? Why was it encrypted? Whta is this new galaxy? Does it have regular space travel routes? What was Thrawn actually doing on peridea? How did he manage to keep an army for 10 years? Just because i guess.
I would like to see Ezra be angry with Sebine when and if she tells him that she's responsible for Thrawn's return. IMO it wouldn't be realistic if Disney and Lucasfilm just ignore that conversation.
Is Baylan Skoll on a grail quest? If so what will he eventually achieves may not be the Grail (In Star Wars terms), but the equivilent of a 'Pair Dadeni' via Welsh mythology in its stead going into this Zeffo stronghold Arthurian symbolic wasteland of Peridea. Consider such, and the implications of this. The Pair Dadeni cauldron would have an immense amount of power and be able to specifically resurrect someone. The Angrboða-Tiamat-Hel vibes are overwhelmingly lurking here as well Filoni adores Norse & Mesopotamian mythologies, which are underwritten in much of this story. Regardless he comes off as a Yojimbo-Man With No Name ex Jedi who plays all sides. What's his aim though? His background matters.
My prediction is Thrawn and the Night Sisters get back to the main galaxy. While Ahsoka and crew are left stranded on Peridea and they will meet up with someone, a surprise cameo of some sort who will lead them to gateway to the world between worlds. It ends there.
Maybe the power Baylan feels, keeps balance on the planet, and only will allow 3 night sisters and the rest of their civilization is in hibernation in the boxes. This would also explain why Thrawn was waiting off planet and is in such a rush to leave
I think this show is going to have at least another season before the Feloni movie. It will also intertwine with Mando season 4 and the Skeleton Crew. The finale will only will show how Thrawn leaves with the night witches and Shin, except Morgan. The rest of the characters get stranded. Ezra found a temple while he was there but couldn’t get in there because it will need another force user ( just like in Lothal) now that he has Ahsoka they both can do it. Baylan get there too and they fight when they access the world between worlds but this time Baylan escapes through one of the doors he’s looking for. Ahsoka, Huyang, Ezra and Sabine make it back through another door. Another theory, is that they wait until last minute when Thrawn is about to leave and Ahsoka’s ship attaches flat under the belly of the Chimera and they all get back together undetected to the main galaxy. No deaths, just Morgan because we know she fights Ahsoka at one point, and this should be it. It will leave us for sure with a big cliffhanger.
The best way for Thrawn's time thing to work is if he needs like 15 minutes to load the rest of the cargo before departing. I have some problems with how they chose to depict this stuff, particularly the handy graphic of the cargo bay with the progress bar. I hope those individual markers were representative of a larger quantity, cause I don't see how that small of an amount of things takes 3 days to move... unless each one of those containers was like a few miles away in the catacombs through underground tunnels or whatever. It's also not very clear how far away Ezra & the Noti were from Thrawn & the Night Sisters' location. Thrawn's dialogue and other story implications make it sound like everything else is taking place far away on the planet, but I did not get that impression with how everything played out on screen. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the shit out of this so far. But these various little issues add up by the end of the season. I feel like if they added maybe 10 min total through the 7 eps we have so far that they could eliminate pretty much every minor nitpick I have. I'm talking like 15-30s here and there to flesh out a scene or explanation. The storytelling is just a little bit loose for my liking, certain things don't stack up/make sense when put under scrutiny. But I get it, they're trying not to overload casuals while trying to maintain maximum appeal as well, it's a give & a take.
I just realized something. Did Thrawn ever win in rebels? I legitimately can’t remember of find a scene where he wins aside of him do his technically “won” areas
Honestly, I'm expecting a very unsatifying ending to this show where none of our questions are answered and we're just supposed to wait till some new upcoming show to answer them. I was really enjoying this show, but last week's episode just made me loss hope for a good ending when it feels like they wasted the episode with action instead of resolving important plot questions. I really wish they'd just make the episodes longer or add more episodes and stop treating these shows like they're on tv with commercials. I'm also suspecting that Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra will be left behind only to be picked by the Skeleton Crew. That is if Disney is trying to tie these shows together.
You're assuming that Filoni hasn't imbibed of the J.J. Abrams 'mystery box' cool aid. He could leave every story thread up in the air, just to lure in his few ardent fans for season 2/movie.
*General* Baylan Skoll How old do you think Baylan is? Maybe matches the same age as Ray Stevenson in his late-50s? Ahsoka is about 47. This is where the elder defeated the younger. In Star Wars, the teacher usually defeats the student or the younger character. This is what Star Wars teaches. The master usually wins over the apprentice. Obi-Wan beating Anakin/Vader in ROTS and his 2022 series. It's not just having the higher ground, but figuratively speaking, Obi-Wan held a higher position than Anakin. A Jedi Master, part of the Jedi council, and a general. Obi-Wan had more clout in the social status hierarchy. We watched Sidious destroy his former apprentice and kill his brother. We see Shin beating up Sabine twice but can't handle Ahsoka. The elder usually wins unless you're 83-years-old like Dooku in ROTS or your name happens to be Qui-Gon Jinn who is starting to become the Sean Bean of Star Wars. To think Dooku at 80 beat Obi-Wan and Anakin in AOTC is some badass shit from a really old guy. I know Anakin was only 19 but he still lost to an 80-year-old. And Obi-Wan who was about 35 in AOTC since he's about 16 years older than Ani also lost to an old guy in his 80s. They needed Yoda in his late-800s to handle Dooku. “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” The one time Vader beats Obi-Wan is when Obi-Wan let Vader beat him. And he did it similar to how Star Wars Meg is explaining about Ahsoka. Obi-Wan didn't really need to win that duel in the Death Star to win the fight at the end. You don't always have to win at that particular moment to win at the end. "A Jedi's goal is to defend life, not take it." I don't think Baylan being a general should be overlooked. Ahsoka never held that title. I know Lord Vader can kill General Tarkin by just Force choking him with his mind, but Palpatine gave Tarkin that title because Tarkin is a brilliant man. You don't get hired being a general from only brute strength. So Baylan is a military tactician like Thrawn. Why is Thrawn still being called Grand Admiral? He should update his title. Palpatine and Vader have been dead for 7 years by this point. Tarkin has been dead for 11 years. He should start calling himself General Thrawn if he's Heir to the Empire. Or Emperor if he conquers the New Republic which I doubt knowing the Sequel Trilogy never mentions it. I really don't think Baylan's power should be underestimated. He was a general in the Clone Wars the way Obi-Wan and Anakin were. Yes, Anakin was a general. He's at least a decade older than Ahsoka. And it's not like Anakin ever reached his potential. He was only 22 before he turned to Vader and died at 45. Let's calculate Baylan's age in the Clone Wars. Let's say he's 58 matching Ray's age in Ahsoka. Subtract 30 years (19 + 11). Baylan was only 28 as a general. Perhaps only 25 since the Clone Wars lasted 3 years. He's 6 years older than Ani and 10 years younger than Obi-Wan. George Lucas views Star Wars as if you're going to school. You learn from your elders. Baylan winning again shouldn't be surprising given that he's older and held a higher military rank than Ahsoka ever did. Baylan had seen more real battles than Ahsoka considering she left the Jedi Order before Order 66. The master always schooling the apprentice yet again like Michael Jordan schooling a young 19-year-old Kobe Bryant in the 1998 All-Star Game only for Kobe to drop 55 with 42 in the first half on the Wizards when MJ was 40 in 2003. Learn from your elders... Sidious over Maul Dooku over Obi-Wan and Anakin Obi-Wan over Anakin Obi-Wan over Vader Baylan over Ahsoka Ahsoka over Shin The times the elders lost, Qui-Gon was killed by Maul, they either let them beat them, or in Dooku's case, he was 83. It seems like a miracle he beat Obi-Wan and Anakin at 80. Of course, Sidious didn't need an age excuse when beating Maul. Higher ground matters. Higher ground can also mean higher age and higher military ranking. More experience usually wins. I think fans are expecting a Raiders of the Lost Ark ending for Baylan. When the Nazis opened the Ark of the Covenant, they all die. Indy and Marion didn't because they kept their eyes closed. I personally don't want to see this. I prefer Baylan mentioned being dead like how they handled T'Challa. It would only make Baylan look foolish if see this scene no different than the Nazis looking for the Ark of the Covenant only to die from it. But if we see Abeloth, then I might be okay with it because she's that powerful and seductive. But I think having Abeloth will break the SW universe. She basically represents Satan and Hell. Pain, suffering, and then death. What if it's Palpatine calling Baylan? Either way, it's going to be bittersweet watching Baylan exit the series. 1. Han Solo 2. Yoda 3. Obi-Wan Kenobi 4. Darth Vader 5. *Baylan* *Skoll* 6. R2-D2 7. Leia Organa 8. Chewbacca 9. Darth Sidious 10. Qui-Gon Jinn Thrawn and Shin Hati are in the second and third tiers of my favorite characters with a bunch of Mando and Andor characters. The list is based *mostly* from the live-action. I still prefer Dooku over Thrawn and Shin. I got Qui-Gon's sensei right below him at 11th. Tales of the Jedi gave me a greater appreciation for Dooku. Ewan McGregor can never be more popular than Hayden Christensen from the SW Gen Z crowd because Ewan can't do that lightsaber move where Hayden can spin it around from his back. But I believe Ewan was the best actor for the entire Prequels followed only by Liam Neeson in Ep 1 and Ian McDiarmid in Ep 3. I'm aware of the bad publicity Ewan got for leaving his wife and daughters for Mary Elizabeth Winstead, but I'm only regarding his work, not his personal life. The work Ewan has done for Star Wars should be applauded even if his Disney+ series is arguably the worst one. Blame that on Deborah Chow and bad writers. Obi-Wan truly is a great character in my eyes. Whether Sir Alec Guinness or Ewan McGregor, either version is great. Sir Alec is the better actor while Ewan has portrayed Obi-Wan more and longer. You're winning with either version of Obi-Wan. Such a unique name too. Surprised nobody calls their sons with that name. "Who is the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?" Elan Sleazebaggano: You wanna buy some death sticks? Obi-Wan: You don't want to sell me death sticks. Elan Sleazebaggano: I don't want to sell you death sticks. Obi-Wan: You want to go home and rethink your life. Elan Sleazebaggano: I want to go home and rethink my life.
There's some leaks going around that this last episode won't even answer ANY of the questions from series and that we'll spend almost an hour following Baylon and Ezra "deep into Peridia". This sounds unlikely and a bit dumb, but it depends on, as always, the execution. 🙏
10:15 I completely disagree Thor. I would very much like to hear what Sabine thinks is important to tell Ezra about home, what he's excited to do once he gets there.. or doesn't get there! Ooo the tension of any of them not returning would be so much greater if we could picture exactly what happiness would be robbed from them if they don't succeed.
I really want to know what the threat out there is, probably something the troopers have been fighting for a while. But if the nightsisters är flees from this, it's probably bad
Predictions this time are a bit tough, I'd rather see a big unforeseen twist, such as Baylan finding and awakening a great and terrible power that consumes or possesses him (or maybe Shin) and then this great power attacks the Eye of Sion as it is about to leave, with Ahsoka, Ezra and Sabine battling up there to try to stop it. From interviews, we know Morgan and Ahsoka have a long battle, and since this is the last episode, and since Morgan is with Thrawn, I am led to assume that Ahsoka and probably Sabine and Ezra, make it to Thrawn's ship and fight it out up there. I think Ezra won't freak out too much when he learns what Sabine did. Remember, he wants to go home and let's face it: Thrawn would not stop looking for a way to get home, one way or another, and who is to say that Ezra doesn't know Thrawn has been trying to figure out a way to get home for years. I suspect he knows that Thrawn has the aid of the Nightsisters, and he may even know that they were trying to contact the SW galaxy somehow. But Sabine really didn't 'betray the galaxy' in her decision. Think about the situation she was in when she gave up the map: Ahsoka was dead (so she believed) and she was facing down a powerful Force User who wanted the map, plus another one unconscious behind her. If she destroys the map ball thingy, she would likely never see Ezra again. Sabine's family were all dead, we're told. If she destroys the map ball, Baylan and Shin would have killed her and there is no way she would have defeated both of them. So unless she wanted to heroically sacrifice herself by destroying the map, what were her options? Plus, we know that the Nightsisters 'rode' the Purrgil to the SW universe, I would suspect that sooner or later, Thrawn would have asked the Nightsisters to figure out a way to take them back to the SW universe in the same way. Of course they couldn't have fit a Star Destroyer in their mouths, but certainly a smaller shuttle would have been no larger than Ahsoka's craft. So clearly there were other ways to get back, eventually, and Thrawn would not have stopped trying even if Sabine had done the right thing. So I don't think Ezra and Ahsoka will be as angry as many believe. She may have not told Ezra when they were riding around on the pods because at that time she doubted that Thrawn would allow either one of them to return to the SW galaxy with him and since her family and Ahsoka were dead (she thought) she may have simply planned on staying there in exile with Ezra and try to figure out a way back apart from the map. Eventually she would have told him, but until Ahsoka arrived, I don't know if Sabine had any return plans. Remember, Baylan didn't promise her a return trip with Ezra, only that they'd be reunited. If she brought Ezra back to Thrawn, that would not have gone well, as then Thrawn would have killed Ezra and probably Sabine. She clearly didn't know what exactly to do. So far Filoni has been rather conservative and I don't think he'll kill Ezra or Sabine off. Honestly, I think that would be stupid, as we've waited a long time to see a resolution to Ezra and it would be needless to kill off either one of them. It would piss me off it they killed them off in this season at least. We need reunions with Hera and introductions to Jacen.
In my opinion Sabine has got to face a reckoning for her actions in this series. From what they are setting up, the conflict with Ezra could see her taking the ‘easy path’ and trying to get a handle on the force through darkness or something. Would create confusion though and I still don’t want her to be force sensitive so idk. As long as shin doesn’t turn good out of nowhere or die I think there’s a lot of great stuff they could do with her Hoping for a last episode of Loki Season 1 style curveball and focus on mostly exposition, but it wouldn’t work as well seeing as this series has a lot less tension… My guess is it’ll ultimately be the ‘Disney+’ style safe ending where everything gets resolved super easily and we focus on shallow action and character banter instead of sticking with the deeper ideas being set up; Baylon’s story thread will be very loosely set up and then abandoned altogether, and everyone will shrug and look past Sabine’s actions. Not hopeful but I want to be pleasantly surprised.
Questions, questions and still more questions that I'm afraid will not get answered. Overall the series has had may enjoyable moments...however...how can I watch 7 episodes of a series and still feel like I know next to nothing? They cannot possibly tie up all of the loose ends of this narrative in a 45 minute episode. Between moments of enjoyment, were many moments of frustration...what really happened between Sabine and Ahsoka before Ahsoka walked away from her? What exactly is Baylan seeking? What is the backstory of Shin? How did Ezra and Thrawn survive in hyperspace when all of the windows on the Chimaera were broken? It was a rather unfulfilling watching experience. I don't think I'm a complete idiot and don't need everything to be spelled out for me...but for crying out loud Filoni, at least throw me a friggin' bone every once in a while.
Thrawn better explain why he let Ezra live and Sabine go. He can find Ahsoka in space, but he can't find Ezra around the Block? If he wanted to kill Sabine and Ezra, he could have killed Sabine and had Shin and Baylan egg Ezra on to come to them. This doesn't make sense.
Maybe Shin goes back to Thrawn right before they leave the Galaxy to go home. Either Night mothers magic or some sacrificed storm troopers attack Ashoka, Ezra and Sabine to keep them occupied. As those three are trying to escape Sabine gets apparently mortally wounded. Ashoka takes Ezra with her to the purgils to go home. And the last scene is Baylon standing over Sabine.
hey thor do think the star wars shows might be better if they pulled a Netflix and released the whole season in one go instead of releasing them week by week?
I think Shin and Thrawns fate are certain. In the books Thrawn was killed by his Noggri agent but that character was killed in rebels. I believe Shin exists to take his place as the character that will kill Thrawn in the movie. A stab in the back, more or less the same way but it won’t be for power it will be for vengeance. -also I want Baylon to find Abeloth
I expect: (1) Thrawn to get back to the standard universe; (2) crew from rebels will get back to standard universe, including Ezra, Sabine, etc.; (3) Ahsoka will get left behind along with Shin; (4) Baylan will discover what is calling to him and go "somewhere else," either in pursuit or be transported or something. We know (1) is happening, so that's not a guess. (2) seems natural, because then they can handle the fallout from Thrawn returning. (3) I think Ahsoka stays because then a "season 2" can invent new stories for her in the other galaxy while trying to find a way back. I also think Shin will become an unlikely apprentice of Ahsoka, because they will be forced to join up somehow to search for a way back. (4) No idea what is calling to Baylan, think maybe it's Bendu but who knows.
My prediction: Its a 2hr 15m long episode that starts off with the Classic Star Wars scrawl that starts with "STAR WARS Episode 7 Rise of Thrawn" And in the post credits Dave and Jon are there and just say "fuck you KK." Then a breif pop up "Thrawn will return in 2025."
If Baylan trained Shin to be "something more" than a Jedi, it seems strange for him to just release her to just go be another Darksider working for the New Empire. Seems strange for someone who still has respect for the Jedi
Right now I'm seeing a run time of 46 minutes for episode 8. I really have no clue how to predict this one. I could see Morgan dying in the finale though. Most likely by Ahsoka's hand.
Here’s what’s gonna happen Balin is being drawn to some evil force that’s tricking him saying that I can balance you when Shin doesn’t make it back to the star destroyer she’s gonna go back to Balin he is going to sacrifice himself to ultimately protect her when she said something like I can’t leave you here, father. All the while Ezra and Sabine will be heading towards the night sister temple, while Asoka goes looking for Balin, Ahsoka and Shin will both be stranded. On Peridia, and it’ll be Anakin’s force ghost that will guide them to an entrance to the world between worlds so they can get back to their galaxy.
Thrawn clearly doesn't want Shin tagging along. He ordered his troops to kill her and Baylan. He told Morgan it didn't matter if they made it back or not but if he honestly felt that way he wouldn't have ordered their assassination. So I don't see her being welcome back at at the ship. Ahsoka's arrival at that fight, saving Sabine and Ezra, did interrupt and change the mission for the troops sent to attack them so maybe that will change things up a bit but still Thrawn clearly wanted Baylan and Shin out of the picture and not left for dead but truly dead. There's a reason behind that.
Great video, highlighting a lot of questions and concerns I think all of us Ahsoka fans have. I think we will see Thrawn escape and that we will find out what the cargo is. I think Ezra, Sabine, and Ahsoka use the purgil to get back. Shin and Baylon end up stranded. What I would like to see, however, is to see Ahsoka and crew and Shin/Baylon all stranded. Have Hera, Carson, and the New Republic deal with Thrawn. Also if Ezra dies I will be so so so upset. He deserves to go back to Lothal and train Jacen.
We need to get to Ezra being mad at Sabine about her decisions immediately. Let him spend the episode upset at her and for good reason. As was foreshadowed, I think Shin ends up joining the good guys and I believe that Ahsoka and Shin stay in the new galaxy while Sabine and Ezra go back to the star wars galaxy We need to learn what Thrawn's plan is. There's been an alarming lack of information surrounding the motivations and decisions made by the antagonists. Up to this point, I give this series a 7.5/10. Unless they do something outstanding, I don't think that rating gets any higher. But they need to fill in the wide gaps of info in order for the rating not to drop
Just gonna leave this here just in case: Baylan finds what hes looking for and it speaks to him but we dont get to see what it is. He stays in that galaxy tho. No one dies and they all come back to the main galaxy. We see Zebb Shin goes off on her own
The "Night Troopers" sounded very alive, yet ALL of their armor was smashed into pieces and glued back together. I don't think it was from the ISD / Perrgil contact, but from encounters with Ezra and the Crabby people. As far as Ezra and Sabine and the "bad news"...I think Ezra already knows...His Force powers have leveled up big time. Skeleton Crew may save our stranded friends. Side note: I think Huyang, 3PO & R2 all have history with each other. No, Ezra is NOT going to die in E7. 🤣 I think we'll get the big mysterious bad calling Baylan. We'll see!
Ezra was pushing troppers like 2 feet backwards at most, needed to grab a blaster to save himself after he declined to use one or a light saber for that matter and then was ragdolled about 20 feet into a ship by Shin ffs. That's not "leveling up" force powers.
I agree with Nia (SW Theory) that Episode 6 may just be the best episode of any SW series on Disney+. It's not my personal favorite although it would easily be in my top 5 but it's arguably the best. I was a bit shocked when I checked the IMDb score and it's only at 8.3. Ep 5 with the Hayden memberries has the highest followed by Ep 4. Hayden is definitely much better acting as Anakin now than he did 20 years ago when he was winning Razzies for it. IMDb Scores Episode 1: 7.9 Episode 2: 7.9 Epsiode 3: 7.4 Episode 4: 8.8 Episode 5: 9.3 Episode 6: 8.3 Episode 7: 8.0 Overall Ahsoka: 8.0 Andor: 8.4 The Mandalorian: 8.7 I thought Far, Far Away had the best world building we've ever seen from a SW episode. It was so good, I wanted to rewatch it again the following morning. Most episodes, I'll only watch it once because I don't have that urge to rewatch it. Only Ep 4 and 6 did I want to rewatch them the next morning. Episode 7 became a step down because we needed more of Baylan's sidequest. Remember all the whining about Bo-Katan's sidequest becoming the main story to The Mandalorian S3? This isn't the case with Baylan because he has this great mystery hanging over his head we're all trying to figure out. And he seems a far more interesting character than Bo-Katan. Ranking the most kickass characters in Ahsoka excluding Anakin.... 1. Baylan Skoll 2. Ahsoka Tano 3. Ezra Bridger 4. Shin Hati 5. Thrawn 6. Great Mothers 7. Morgan Elsbeth 8. Sabine Wren 9. Huyang 10. Hera Syndulla Straight up combat, Thrawn is not beating most Force or lightsaber users. Now if it was straight fist to fist with no Force and weapons, I'll like his chances similar to Steve Rogers beating Tony Stark without a suit on. Steve would whoop Tony's ass and Iron Man is my guy. I got Ahsoka below Baylan because it doesn't seem she can defeat him. In Rebels, she had a hard time against bigger, stronger opponents like when she faced Vader. It's not like Baylan is agile and mobile. He takes these huge swings and Ahsoka can't withstand these blows like if Mike Tyson was hitting her. She's simply getting overpowered by his bigger/heavier size, longer reach, and more raw strength. Initially, I thought she had won the first fight after she kicked Baylan 3x to the ground in Ep 4. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she burned her hand touching the map and getting distracted by Sabine's fate after she saw Shin. But now it seems Ahsoka really can't handle Baylan. *He* *acts* *like* *Dooku* *but* *fights* *like* *a* *full* *human* *Vader* *without* *a* *costume.* He got his own Rogue One hallway scene in the very first episode for goodness sakes. It's clear Shin has no problem against Sabine. That's like comparing The Empire Strikes Back to The Last Jedi. No contest which is the better middle movie of a trilogy. But when we watch Shin face Ahsoka, she struggles. Heck, she struggled against a lightsaber-less Ezra. This is why I still have Ezra above her and from leaks, he will wield a lightsaber again. Will have his "Steve Rogers carrying Mjölnir moment" where fans will cheer when Ezra uses it. I'm going to be curious how Ahsoka S2 plays out if we ever get one. If Baylan and Shin were never in this series, I'm not sure I would've kept watching passed Ep 3. I'm also not sure if I'm going to enjoy watching Shin join Ahsoka. I would rather see her team up with Thrawn (at least for now) and wreck havoc in their galaxy. Yesterday, I ordered a hat with the Andor logo on it from Aliexpress. Cost me about $14 with taxes and shipping included. And I'll keep repeating it, I initially HATED Andor. As much as I like Nia's I
I think Thrawn's plan to return would have worked out regardless of Sabine's actions. She and Ahsoka only got in the way or Morgan, Skull and Hottie, but they got what they wanted. If Sabine wasn't there they would have just had the map anyway. If she said no, they would have taken it from her.
I feel like we aren't going to get any resolve in the next episode. This is the first time I'm pessimistic but I feel like they're really banking on a second season and a movie like Dave wants. Will we get that? Not sure. I hope some of our questions are at least answered so we don't have to worry about it though
My theory is that Ahsoka and Sabine make it back home but are forced to leave Ezra behind, Sabine learning to let go and we see Ezra and Shin getting stranded together on peridea (Thrawn doesn't want Shin around, especially if her master wasn't loyal to him). They would be forced to work together to survive and through Shin, Ezra will learn that Baylan is being called by something and possibly know what it is having lived their for a decade and realises Baylan needs to be stopped. In another series or film, Ezra will persuade Shin that Baylan must be stopped and they will go after him. We will see Ezra use his own experience with the darkside to help Shin deal with her own demons, whilst Sabine and Ahsoka help the new republic.
Run time came out (reliable sources) 49 minutes total, 42+ for just the show. That is roughly equal to a network "hour with commercials". After watching a couple film length "Continental" episodes, plus the run times for Andor and HoT, this seems...typical Disney. :-/
Yeah, Sabine's decision was a good point of tension and I hope we see that play out between Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra. It'd be a missed opportunity to just gloss over it as it seems to have happened so far.
Honestly, with how the characters are portrayed and her decision is treated in-universe, I just don't think it'll be treated as a big deal by those characters. It's a really big issue, but I don't think Sabine even really understands what she did (she doesn't fear Thrawn), I think that Ahsoka has already forgiven Sabine, and I don't think that Ezra will even get upset when he learns about Sabine's decision.
I'm gonna say that I don't actually think that the mystery of Baylan is all that interesting or that they really had a plan for him. To me, it always just felt like a mystery box. But, that might be because we've seen the 'Jedi/Sith who isn't good/evil, is morally grey, and has mysterious motives' thing a few times before and it's never led to anything all that substantial. Remember Kylo Ren?
My predictions: Thrawn will manage to travel to his home galaxy while showing off how "smart" he is. Ezra will find out how Sabine found him. There will be an awkward moment that will be resolved in 5 minutes with Ahsoka wisdom. Baylan finds something dark and misterious in some kind of temple. Last scenes: Thrawn arrives at the galaxy and automatically he has control of every empire loyalist. A name from EU is what Baylan finds. That name is the cliffhanger. Ezsra gets a whale back to his home galaxy and everyone is worried how the fuck they are the underdogs again.
SW Meg said a couple days ago that Baylan and Shin will NOT die in Ep 8. So Baylan will not have his Raiders of the Lost Ark death moment. Audience may feel cheated if he did get that or how Walter Donovan died in the Last Crusade. The most interesting character of Ahsoka was just a sucker all along. I figure Baylan will not die because they finished filming 7 months before Ray died. I'm not sure the writers had Baylan dying in mind a year ago. Will likely be addressed for S2 like a lot shows or movies that dealt from an actor's death, leaving the project, or simply getting fired. The Godfather Part II didn't even have Marlon Brando for that final flashback sequence and it was still a great film. Let's say Shin joins Ahsoka. What exactly is she gaining? Ahsoka couldn't beat Baylan twice. And it's not like Ahsoka is a really great teacher from her results with Sabine. Ezra is also right there. He's way ahead of Shin as a Jedi. I believe Shin will end up in Thrawn's group even with her wiccaphobia. But I can see her turn to the light ala Wanda later down the road. Wanda was very interesting too early on until she started to turn heel in WandaVision and then Multiverse of Madness. Then fans started to hate her. Ivanna Sahkno has that face of an Elizabeth Olsen who can portray unhinged, broken female characters. I like Shin but she's too weak for my taste. Ahsoka can't even handle Baylan who fights like Vader with slow swings but hits extremely hard. But each time Ahsoka confronts Baylan's padawan, she whoops Shin's ass. Ahsoka is a downgrade of a teacher from Baylan if you ask me. But it's Disney. Girl power! Shin may grow tiresome to me like what happened to Darth Maul and Kylo Ren looking cool and badass initially. This is why I wasn't running out to buying merch of this "Shin Baddie" or "Shin Hottie". I did this for Daemon Targaryen last year and I have zero regrets because he really is a badass. He's a fan favorite for a reason and his final moments are badass. I hope more shows come out about the Targaryens because I love Baelor Breakspear and Brynden Rivers. Daemon is a rare exception like a Darth Vader and Iron Man where they look cool and they really are cool in the story. While Darth Maul and Kylo Ren is judging a book by it's cover and you realize they're lame. Kylo Ren was the bigger disappointment. Ep 8 may end up with little fanfare and be predictable. But knowing Filoni's erections from Ahsoka, he'll make her accomplish impossible feats like she's Ethan Hunt. What if Baylan ends up looking like a moron like Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? *He* *chose* *poorly.* Should've just used purrgils to go there. No need to ally with Morgan. Baylan ends up losing his life perhaps by S2 whether off-camera or using a stand-in from far away with a hoodie. He already lost his "daughter" in Shin. Writers are being forced to kill Baylan and make him look like a moron because Ray died. Quite a predicament the writers are put in since nobody can predict actors dying months ahead of time and Ray was only 58. It's the only way to do this unless they're willing to recast for Baylan. Kinda sucks, doesn't it? Baylan is the best and most interesting character in the show. Perhaps the best SW character in 40 years. Then the writers are forced to give him a cheap death and make him look like a moron at the end for guessing wrong about this great power calling him on Peridea because the actor really died. Remember in The Dark Knight, The Joker didn't technically die in it even though we all knew Heath Ledger died. By The Dark Knight Rises which came out 4 years later, they did a time jump of 8 years and never mention Joker's whereabouts. Is that how the writers will handle this? A time jump? Then mention Baylan died like T'Challa dying from an undisclosed disease. If Baylan is killed off whether we get a Season 2 or from the Heir to the Empire movie, I prefer if it's only mentioned he died. Don't show it to us or it will make him look stupid. Don't give him a Raiders of the Lost Ark/Last Crusade death scene.
My crazy theory is nobody makes it home that’s why we don’t see anything about them in the sequels. They blow out the engine and sacrificed himself to keep thrown away from the new republic and everything in the movie of them chasing around in this new galaxy.
I think the deal between Thrawn and the Night mothers are one of mutual benefit. Both are trying to get back to the Star Wars galaxy. I don’t think we’ll find out exactly what’s in the coffins. Not this season anyway. I don’t think Shin is going back to Thrawn. She doesn’t trust the Night Sisters. Shin is going back to her Master. I don’t think anyone gets back. This is the best explanation as to why we don’t see these characters in the sequels.
We don't know what Sabine told Ezra. Front the sounds of it she told him about everything that happened from when he left until Ahsoka came back for her did she tell him about it jacen? I don't know. She told him that Zeb was training pilots and that Hera was leaving fleets why wouldn't she tell him that? We just didn't see her tell him. She also supported and tolerated him while he was going dark. How does he not do the same
I don’t see this as undoing Ezra’s sacrifice. The emperor was defeated. The Rebels won. And taking Thrawn out of the equation for the events of the OT played a big role in that victory. The ultimate goal of the rebel era was to defeat the empire and restore the republic, Thrawn is secondary.
I think Sabine or Ezra will be sacrificed, if anyone, though I don't see that happening in this season. Sabine did undo Ezra's own sacrificial act in Rebels. This could mean she does something with this show to set things right in trying to stop Thrawn. It could also mean that Ezra throws himself on the sword AGAIN to correct what Sabine undid. Personally I think the series finale could be the perfect ending for Ahsoka herself and they may kill her off. Otherwise when would be the time to finish her story? She isn't around in the ST apparently.
If i have my way, the ending would be: There is struggle keeping Thrawn from leaving and eventually got away and went to hyperspace... our heroes was dissapointed similar to the MCU Infinity ending... Thrawn exits hyperspace and then on a distant galaxy unbeknownst to the Republic, the allies of Thrawn one by one are exiting hyperspace in front of the Chimera of Thrawn pilling up to become a massive display of force... one of the general that arrived from hyperspace welcome Thrawn, saying "your excellency, Grand Admiral Thrawn" Thrawn walking forward the window to gaze upon th armada and responded, "the empire shall once again take its place in this galaxy!" The End! Lets prepare for WARRRRRR!!! STARWARSSSS 🎉❤
This episode has to include the confrontation between Sabine and Ezra/Ahsoka. They can't just gloss that over. I do think they should kill off a character and I agree with it being Sabine; let her reap the consequences of her stupidity. Filming for this season finished well before Ray Stevenson's passing so I don't see how that could have been included in their plans for the series. There's no way to have a good resolution of Baylan's story in one more episode so I hope they recast him (it will be big shoes to fill) and continue that part of the story next season (if that happens). There is no way to satisfactorily wrap up everything in one episode but they need to answer some of the outstanding questions.
Hey Thor and his better half.. I wanted to ask you guys and hear your opinions on whether or not you guys think Baylan’s story is going to continue past the Ahsoka series? I’ve heard many times that if he survives the finale, that they’re going to have to recast the role in order to continue his story. I think it would be much more interesting, and respectful for Ray Stevenson if instead of finding someone new to play his role, they change his character from a live-action role, to an animated role? Doing this they would be able to go all out with Baylan, without changing the character’s looks and mannerisms, but rather find a solid voice actor for him, and continue his story through animation. What are your guys’s thoughts? Would you like to see Baylan’s story continue in animation, (if he survives the finale) or would you guys be okay with it if they went ahead and recast the role to another actor? Love the videos, I tune in every single day to listen to you two, so thank you for all the entertainment and speculation you provide!
The thing is, andd this is just my prediction, Sabine undoing Ezra's sacrifice will go completely unmentioned from here out. It will not be dealt with in any way.
@@best_Dave_ever I seriously doubt it. Hope I'm proven wrong but I just don't have any faith in these writers. The setup of a rvialry between Bo Katan and Din Jarren at the end of Mando S02 is a similar situation. It will just get dropped.
Thor, are you aware us despising Thrawn was never Timothy Zahn's intention? He's not a typical villain that you despise, hell it's the reason Thrawn is even popular.
How would you feel about Liev Schreiber as Baylan? He's the right age and the right size. I'd never want to recast if there was a choice. I think this would be a good one.
The one who deserves to die is Sabine, not Ezra. I just can't see them doing anything like that in this season though. I also think we will get far less answers than we want.
Thor and Naboo: If Baylan is recasted who do you think can fill his shoes? Also I think it would be cool if they left Baylan in this unknown galaxy and gave us an animated film or series to wrap up his character arc. P.S. keep up the videos I really enjoy hearing your theories.
If Thrawn “loses” in this next episode, then Thrawns live action appearance is pretty much DOA.
I don't want Shin to be "redeemed." She should evolve as a character, but that doesn't mean she needs to join Ahsoka.
I can see her taking Rukhs role. In that she ends up betraying Thrawn in his moment of victory (in subsequent seasons / films).
@@DavidWalker1987 I'm thinking Enoch is still Rukh and Mandalore is the new Honoghr (
I'm not against it. It all depends on how it's done.
@@DarksideGmss0513 We haven't seen her usefulness in a Jorus sort of way. Battle meditation not very cinematic, I admit. The red witches are more Jorus though as the ''support magic'' class.
I think she will replace Sabine and Sabine will replace Ahsoka. Feloni likes angry girls and Ahsoka is too old for him I bet.
Hopefully Thrawn gets his big brain moment
Well he hasn't so far in fact he is dumb as f in this show
they already tried. but didn't work
I wondered why Sabine didn't once seem to question how Ahsoka even managed to get to Peridea. I'm glad that she acknowledged that she thought Ahsoka was dead, but she didn't say, "Wait. How did you manage to get here without a map and without a vehicle?"
I hope the death of Ray Stevenson will not derail whatever the long-term plan was for the new power that Baylon was seeking
David Filoni claimed that he couldn't go forward with the Ranger of the Republic (or whatever) series without Cara Dune. Instead of recasting Cara Dune or just doing the show without the character, he scrapped the series.
I don't want whatever the new power story plan to be scrapped because of Stevenson's untimely demise.
For better or for worse all the things that “Sabine should have told Ezra…” probably occurred offscreen
I'm anticipating an off-camera confession. Cut immediately to Ezra's reluctant acceptance. 😮💨
Yeah, completely rely on the Force and... a blaster a couple of seconds later.

Sadly I see it having more cliffhangers than actual resolutions
i know of things that won't be resolved this season and in any other tv form: Why there was a map to Thrawn? Why it leads to him? Why it was on some kind of jedi temple? Why was it encrypted? Whta is this new galaxy? Does it have regular space travel routes? What was Thrawn actually doing on peridea? How did he manage to keep an army for 10 years? Just because i guess.
@@joaopedrorosa6198It's all tied into the Night Sisters.
Its just gonna be resurrecting Palpatine isn't it?
@@Hero_Of_Old No, someone totally opposed to him.
The crab people = the Noti.
The connection to Skeleton Crew could be that they are trapped on Peridea until the Crew arrives and is their lifeboat...
If so, they show up in the penultimate episode...
You're assuming that Filoni hasn't imbibed of the J.J. Abrams 'mystery box' cool aid. He could leave every story thread up in the air, just to lure in his few ardent fans for season 2/movie.
I bet that’s exactly how it’s gonna go. Just lots of mystery boxes “for another time”.
*General* Baylan Skoll
How old do you think Baylan is?
“If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”
The one time Vader beats Obi-Wan is when Obi-Wan let Vader beat him. And he did it similar to how Star Wars Meg is explaining about Ahsoka. Obi-Wan didn't really need to win that duel in the Death Star to win the fight at the end. You don't always have to win at that particular moment to win at the end.
"A Jedi's goal is to defend life, not take it."
I don't think Baylan being a general should be overlooked.
Sidious over Maul
Dooku over Obi-Wan and Anakin
Obi-Wan over Anakin
Obi-Wan over Vader
Baylan over Ahsoka
Ahsoka over Shin
The times the elders lost, Qui-Gon was killed by Maul, they either let them beat them, or in Dooku's case, he was 83.

4. Darth Vader
5. *Baylan* *Skoll*
6. R2-D2
7. Leia Organa
8. Chewbacca
9. Darth Sidious
10. Qui-Gon Jinn
Thrawn and Shin Hati are in the second and third tiers of my favorite characters with a bunch of Mando and Andor characters.

There's some leaks going around that this last episode won't even answer ANY of the questions from series and that we'll spend almost an hour following Baylon and Ezra "deep into Peridia".

Well that would suck. 🤬

I’ve been looking for Ahsoka content all week.
The sailor moon animation you have with the lightsaber is so fire 🔥
I really want to know what the threat out there is, probably something the troopers have been fighting for a while. But if the nightsisters är flees from this, it's probably bad
Baylon said I made you to be something else… that’s the line I haven’t heard anyone talk about.
Ezra can’t be killed off his casting is too perfect and he’s the only cool guy Jedi around besides Luke

I feel like Zeb could be a big part of Skeleton Crew and that's why he wasn't in Ahsoka (at least not in ep 1-7).
As long as shin doesn’t turn good out of nowhere or die I think there’s a lot of great stuff they could do with her
Hoping for a last episode of Loki Season 1 style curveball and focus on mostly exposition, but it wouldn’t work as well seeing as this series has a lot less tension…
My guess is it’ll ultimately be the ‘Disney+’ style safe ending where everything gets resolved super easily and we focus on shallow action and character banter instead of sticking with the deeper ideas being set up; Baylon’s story thread will be very loosely set up and then abandoned altogether, and everyone will shrug and look past Sabine’s actions.
I hope Ray rides Force Snuffleupagus off into the sunset.
We need a Battlefront 3 game with Ahsoka and Thrawn added as a hero and villain, respectively
Baylan, shin, sabine. Nighttrooper skins, Enoch maybe
@@Isk667 agreed
I also think it would be cool if there was a story mode set in each of the different eras
I’m going to be so disappointed if it’s 30 minutes. This last episode has so much potential!!
I heard that it's around 48min
hey thor do think the star wars shows might be better if they pulled a Netflix and released the whole season in one go instead of releasing them week by week?
I think we see Ahsoka training to another Hayden hologram.
Wow didn’t eve think of that now that is interesting twist for shin to be the one to kill thrawn
My prediction:
Its a 2hr 15m long episode that starts off with the Classic Star Wars scrawl that starts with "STAR WARS Episode 7 Rise of Thrawn"
And in the post credits Dave and Jon are there and just say "fuck you KK." Then a breif pop up "Thrawn will return in 2025."
My suspicion is that something happens that prevents everyone from getting back to the SW Galaxy
If Baylan trained Shin to be "something more" than a Jedi, it seems strange for him to just release her to just go be another Darksider working for the New Empire. Seems strange for someone who still has respect for the Jedi
Shinn becomes a wild card and creates a wedge between thrawn and the night sisters. She makes her play for power
As the episode ends Shin smiles at the camera. The smile is very unusual. Very not friendly.
Wasn’t the pirate from Mando season 3 going to show up? Or was that Skeleton Crew?
That was rumored for Skeleton Crew.
One things for sure... they got a bring everything at the kitchen sink to this finale.
Maybe they had the plan to kill him off before Stevenson passed?
Shin gets possessed by aboloth, Ashoka and the team gets stranded, thrawn goes home and beats up the new republic
Thanks for the debate, guys! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
42 minutes is the runtime without intro and credits
Right now I'm seeing a run time of 46 minutes for episode 8. I really have no clue how to predict this one. I could see Morgan dying in the finale though. Most likely by Ahsoka's hand.
Will the Armorer be uncovered as being Ursa Wren?
No
The runtime is 49 minutes so yeah probably around 45. Unless the 49 is without credits but I didn’t hear if it was or wasn’t
On Peridia, and it’ll be Anakin’s force ghost that will guide them to an entrance to the world between worlds so they can get back to their galaxy.
..with thunderous applause
As was foreshadowed, I think Shin ends up joining the good guys and I believe that Ahsoka and Shin stay in the new galaxy while Sabine and Ezra go back to the star wars galaxy
We need to learn what Thrawn's plan is. There's been an alarming lack of information surrounding the motivations and decisions made by the antagonists.
Up to this point, I give this series a 7.5/10. Unless they do something outstanding, I don't think that rating gets any higher. But they need to fill in the wide gaps of info in order for the rating not to drop
Just gonna leave this here just in case:
Baylan finds what hes looking for and it speaks to him but we dont get to see what it is. He stays in that galaxy tho.
No one dies and they all come back to the main galaxy.
We see Zebb
Shin goes off on her own
How do you think Baylan gets back? With Ashoka?
@@DaNewWaveLee sorry I forgot to say. I think he stays on that new galaxy
@@anthonyplanzo1082 your comment reveals you're not a big picture/read between the lines individual, but narrow focused and minded. MTFBWY.

I thought Far, Far Away had the best world building we've ever seen from a SW episode.
1. Baylan Skoll
2. Ahsoka Tano
3. Ezra Bridger
4. Shin Hati
5. Thrawn
6. Great Mothers
7. Morgan Elsbeth
8. Sabine Wren
9. Huyang
10. Hera Syndulla
Straight up combat, Thrawn is not beating most Force or lightsaber users.
Ezra gets left behind. Proving what ahsoka told him about saving kannan in rebels.
You can make an Baylan show in animation. And make Ahsoka season 2 about something else.
If Thrawn is low on resources where’s he get enough mines to blanket the planet for whales? The giant hyper space ring?
If i have my way, the ending would be:
There is struggle keeping Thrawn from leaving and eventually got away and went to hyperspace... our heroes was dissapointed similar to the MCU Infinity ending... Thrawn exits hyperspace and then on a distant galaxy unbeknownst to the Republic, the allies of Thrawn one by one are exiting hyperspace in front of the Chimera of Thrawn pilling up to become a massive display of force... one of the general that arrived from hyperspace welcome Thrawn, saying "your excellency, Grand Admiral Thrawn"
Thrawn walking forward the window to gaze upon th armada and responded, "the empire shall once again take its place in this galaxy!"
The End!
Love the videos, I tune in every single day to listen to you two, so thank you for all the entertainment and speculation you provide!
shin is on the troop transport, no?
0:10 change your smoke detector battery.
You win the prize for most random comment ever. Oh, and none of the smoke detector batteries need changing.
It ends with the audience going into a coma from the sheer dumbness of the entire show
Sabine will reveal to Ezra how she got there, but there’s something going on with Ezra and he will have to be honest with her
The thing is, andd this is just my prediction, Sabine undoing Ezra's sacrifice will go completely unmentioned from here out. It will not be dealt with in any way.
Her refusing to talk about it is setup though?
@@best_Dave_ever I seriously doubt it.
Hope I'm proven wrong but I just don't have any faith in these writers.
The setup of a rvialry between Bo Katan and Din Jarren at the end of Mando S02 is a similar situation. It will just get dropped.
Some very safe ending is going to happen. MAYBE some Grand Inquisitor style death that Filoni showed he was capable of.
Thor, are you aware us despising Thrawn was never Timothy Zahn's intention? He's not a typical villain that you despise, hell it's the reason Thrawn is even popular.
In the heir of the Empire trilogy he is kinda more villainous but, in the new canon books, you're absolutely right
How would you feel about Liev Schreiber as Baylan? He's the right age and the right size.
I'd never want to recast if there was a choice. I think this would be a good one.
The one who deserves to die is Sabine, not Ezra. I just can't see them doing anything like that in this season though.
I also think we will get far less answers than we want.
It would be fitting if Ezra sacrifices himself again to chase after Baylon and stay on Peridia to see what he's up to.
Thor and Naboo: If Baylan is recasted who do you think can fill his shoes? Also I think it would be cool if they left Baylan in this unknown galaxy and gave us an animated film or series to wrap up his character arc. P.S. keep up the videos I really enjoy hearing your theories.
Mel Gibson
It doesn't matter. It ended with Return of the Jedi. Everything else is a night terror.
It would be nice if Sabine sacrifices to save Ezra...
I got a sneaky suspiction Shin could become Mara Jade down the line.
Sabine sacrificed for Ezra is the only way to redeem her decision to give them the map
… causing Ezra to fall to the dak side
I'd prefer the rise of Darth Selfish
