Hunter, it's me again. I want to thank you again, I love my Deus II after you programmed it for me. Yesterday I got a dime trifecta, 1912, 1937, and a 1948. Only three silver dimes and a trifecta. I've been hunting areas I've hunted before and I am blown away. It's like I never hunted these areas before. For instance, a park I spent five days hunting a few years ago, and found 19 silver coins. And now, with the Deus II, recently I've dug three silver quarters, including an SLQ, and ten silver dimes. Thank you again, I love my Deus II.
Took my XPD2 on its maiden voyage today. Got a gold ring marked .999 right before I headed home this pm. What a day. That was actually the 2nd ring. Got a sterling 1st. I am having an issue with the Tri charging cable. I am losing the WS6 wehn I goto charge it. I have been told by a dealer in England that XP is now mentioning charging the headphones via the single cable and separate charger. I like them alot. I used the WS-4 all the time. If you put them on wrong, they will hurt your ears. Use sunglasses with them too. So light and clear sounding. Don't like over the ears, kinda muffled. You are right, there is no shaft flex with the 9" coil. I have the 11" as well, but try it later. Nice vid.
Congrats on that! No issue with my tri-cable thankfully...hopefully it lasts. The headphones are def not on wrong, just not a fan of the style. The ones that come with the Orx are just as terrible. I have over 20 headphones here at my house...they are by far the worse types. Like I said - grain of salt and to each their own. Thanks for watching CZ!
Like others are saying I like how you tell your honest opinion. Nice to have someone who's not a "sellout"....if you will. Looks like a solid unit. Wish I could afford one!

Great video, John. Way to go. This machine has a ton of settings and adjustability like I’ve never seen before in a detector. Only the V3i might have topped this one for settings. Too bad there is no app for a smart phone. I fully agree with you regarding the behind-the-ear phones. 👎🏻

Thanks! It does have an app called Go Terrain or something like that. I will never use it personally so didn't cover it. Hopefully Garrett releases a V3i upgrade...that would be neat.
excellent review ... and I love the humor, or maybe it was just funny to me ... along with this one, similar videos from the past are the reason the huntergt is the man I trust reviewing metal detectors ... waiting on Part II.

Excellent video! I agree that they could have easily added 20% more screen with little added cost, the lower shaft should have been carbon fiber, and they should have included screen protectors like the Equinox did (or gorilla glass 6). That cool accessory they added looks to help attach the remote control to the shaft so if it bumps loose, the remote is not lost (as easily). They could have made the antenna wire black too, or allowed us to run it through the shaft for concealment purposes (see Gigmaster's latest video). Thanks Again TheHunterGT!

OMG! I just received my new Deus 2, i wish i would have seen this video before hand! Mine was missing the charge cord, it has been received now. Couldn't figure out how the puck attached to the rod (NO ADAPTER IN BOX FOR $1600!) The charge attachments suck! Wish they where like the Nox800. Your video was great explaining the menu's! It can be a bit overwhelming. But itta come just like going from the MXT to the Nox. Thanks for the good info.
Yeah they missed the ball on accessories in my opinion. WS6 are terrible - and the adapter should have been included for the price. I love the detector, but XP as a company leaves me scratching my head more often than not.

How has your Deus II been treating you. If you go to old places, your gonna find a lot more old coins than when coin roll hunting. At least that's happening with my Deus II. That said, I have had some success coin roll hunting and it is super fun when you get hold of some good rolls.

Many thanks THGT. An excellent and informative video. I realize Deus has an amazing pedigree and is a truly amazing machine. Personally, for me with old eyes, I find the display somewhat congested. I prefer the NM Legend display. I was always encouraged by the XP five years guarantee, but as you mentioned, the lithium battery on the coil ect is only two years which has given me thought to pause. Obviously a very capable machine and I'm looking forward to catching up on part two. Many thanks for all of your research on this.

I must say, I’ve watched what’s out there so far in menu description and navigation, but yours is so clear and well described, I finally feel confident I can operate all the Deus II has available. It is very good no doubt. I wish it handled aluminum and harsh soil a bit better - but I rate it on my personal top 5 list for sure.

Thanks! There is an update coming for bigger ID and horseshoe function. As for touch...maybe the Deus 5 will have it. Detecting tech is so far beyond cell phone tech as far as displays...it is shocking what we pay for detectors with 1980s calculator screens.

I tried to set tweek a program when I took out my deus for the first time. Every signal (vid number) sounded the same, and that's exactly what I tried to change. So far I hate my Deus II.
You were likely in 2 tone or pitch mode. I would try setting it in 5 tones in program 1 and let it rip. Or there is even a full tones option if you want to hear every ID differently. Give it time...hopefully you mesh with it.

Definitely not a me problem. They are just crap headphones - cheaply made - that should never of made the box. My opinion only.
