I got injured when i was playing soccer and i was running and then suddenly just felt something in my leg. Just wanna say thank you and you are a life saver because I have a soccer tournament where i play 4 games in a day and this helped so much Thank You🙏
How long after the initial injury, should you start these exercises and let’s say a stage one or stage two hamstring pull. I’m about three weeks in and have very little flexibility from the hip.
Big thumbs up for barefoot exercising! And great explanation of the injury mecanism :) I would have a question: I see a looot of videos with exercises for pulled/strained harmstrings... but are they the same for injured harmstring TENDONS? Or should I addjust somehow the recovery plan to a pulled tendon?
Great video, I have downloaded the return to running program. I dont quite understand how it works sorry? How is it followed? you have stage 1 - steps 1 -4 but in each step there is a list of 10 options. Could you explain in more details how to follow it? Also, when shall we move to stage 2?
If the semitendinosus tendon has been strained. It was not recognised for three weeks. So was walked on that made the pain worse. How long is recovery approx. Thanks.
I’ve had a mild hamstring strain for 7 weeks now, still not any better. No football for 7 weeks and no improvement. I’m doing rehab exercises 2 or 3 times a week and not running on it… What am I doing wrong?
@@jasongerges3733 had it 4 months in total, no better at all. Stretching and strengthening just make it worse and the doctor scratches his head as usual
@@taccoman6035 thanks for asking, it got better after about 9 months.. touch wood I didn’t do any exercises or “rehab” just left it alone and didn’t do any exercise or running
i had one a few yrs ago and it took 6 weeks of rehab to get back to my sports activities.....if you come back too early, it will re-tear and feel worse than when it happened originally...yup, I did that then I went to rehab.....it has to be progressive.....which you probably already know since your post was 1 yr ago
@@kunaguero8432 I was out of work for 2 weeks. I'm a vet tech. It probably took another month before I was back to full strength. Going back to work helped because I walked a lot.
@Heidi Smith I tore my hamstring today so bad I could barely walk I've never felt this in my life it must be grade 3 . I'll probably won't be able to run for a month huh?
1 = sore 2 = some sharp pain but you can move it 3 = you can't move it, youre thigh looks like ham gone bad. you'll know when you have grade 3 since you'll want to go to the hospital just from the pain alone
Awesome video! Probably the safest one on youtube. It should definetely be higher in search

Thank you, this a great recovery break-down!!! Can you guys do something like this regarding groin injuries?

thank you for this! superb information and covered everything I needed to know about recovery and strengthening.

If it’s a level 1 do I rest for 3 weeks and then do the exercises or do I do them the next day I pulled my hamstring?
Do you start these Exercises as soon as you can or if it’s agreed to after 4 to 6 weeks of rest?
How can I download this

This video is good but it doesn’t say how long to do each exercise…

That’s most likely not a mild hamstring strain, that’s almost 2 months, that’s probably a severe hamstring strain you should see as to or

Hi, I have a really bad stage 3 hamstring tear. I'm on day 4 now, when should I start straight training?

Fell and hyper extended my right leg 6 days ago, grade 3 torn hamstring. The worst pain I've ever felt.

It’s hurts when I try to straighten my legs. Should I try straightening my leg or should I wait until the pain goes. ( This is day two)
ice and rest for a few days and then start rehab. (not a medical professional btw)
I've had a hamstring strain too, 3 weeks in and I'm still in some sort of pain. I can't fully straighten my leg without discomfort and pain.
