This one had some amazing moments. Jumping over the wall onto a pri is probably one of my fav STH moments ever.
That I had to applaud
For me it was the ending. Getting the last pri, and manage to fly away, as a hunter passes 50 cm under your planes wheel
he almost hit a light post after take-off, disappointed he didn't, everyone, including himself, would have laughed at that so much.
I read this at the exact same time it happened lol.
It was nuts, I think he could have got away with sticky bombing on foot as nobody would expect him to not be in a car….just keep on walking.
Running out of Michael's house too late to avoid the hunters and too early to have the car flung down the street is peak comedy.
Combined with jumping the hedge to land on a pri, you should probably buy a lottery ticket
Agreed! And clearly not camped out, they were just barreling along to a likely area and spotted the Bullet sitting at the curb.
@@Gothamauto The Bullet would have stood out though, he was parked on the wrong side of the street.

And that airplane take off was a pretty close call
Not being allowed to use Lester certainly changed the dynamic of the game. Much less stealth and way more speed and action. I generally prefer the stealth episodes myself, it just makes it more nerve-racking in my opinion, but man once in a while one of these fast paced episodes really hits the spot.

I wasn't paying attention at the beginning of the video but was thinking to myself no Lester would be an interesting change up... And then suddenly he's complaining about not being able to call Lester
yeah probs needs a balance, maybe three calls to lester or something that way its more strategic since he usually calls lester over 5 times in a standard episode 3 is a nice middle ground
Yeah, the fast paced ones are absolute sights and audio to behold
@@Jockuptown Agreed. I was thinking maybe like he gets one "cops turn a blind eye" and one "remove wanted level" per episode. Gotta choose carefully when to use them.
This is going to be a tough one to beat, it had EVERYTHING from jumping down of that wall practically onto the Pri to the escape by plane at the end. It's going to be a cracking Discussing the Hunt, I suspect some very strong words were said against you.
Ooh yes, almost forgot about Discuss The Hunt, that's gonna be a half hour of fun to listen to certainly.
I liked how Alex didn't hide in backyards for too long.

Also the timing at 15:25 and 37:40!
That phase into the car was perfect

@@123bluecatky Alex might have been aiming for the truck as he had technically won already, but that was quite cinematic. :)
yea I loved how at 37:40 he checks and then the second he comes out the three of them appear out of thin air and batter into him like if he were a second earlier or later the outcome wouldve been completely different

This was one of the most action packed, totally random and most entertaining STH episodes. Thoroughly enjoyed this. I can't wait to hear the hunter chat the discuss episode

Did escape STHs before the taskmaster series
He has done a few like that, although the escape vehicle location and the specific task before escape varies from your suggestion and the normal STH format.
This has been the best survive the hunt by far in many ways! I loved it in entirety! I cannot wait to watch the hunter perspectives!
I think I have seen at least 80% of the STH series, and this one is definitely my favorite. The ending where you barely missed the truck, the hedge jump to the prii, Michaels house, and the close calls you had were amazing!
Jumping over that hedge was one of the best STH moments of all time! XD rofl
I rank that moment to be right up there with the time Alex was on foot in the canal area, hunters swarming around like angry ants (to borrow a phrase) and he magically is gifted a Comet sitting unattended in an open garage. Serendipity.
One of your finest hours. Jumping over a wall and landing on a Pri was brilliant, and the "escape" at the end by flying right over a dive-bombing Eowan was beautiful.

100% agree. Every month I forget that it's the first of the month, and then I get surprised by STH in my recommended. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Ahhh man! This was one of the most action-packed STH episodes. You coming out of Michael's house was too funny. I can't wait to hear the comms for that. They must have been plotting.

I love STH's! Isn't it amazing how there are almost 50 episodes + Discuss STH, yet FailRace is still pumping these out? I love it
Taskmasters were great, and I am looking forward to more of those in the future, but a classic STH is just what I needed. And this was an absolutely insane one!
On a side note, I think modifying the "no Lester" rule so you can only remove the wanted level from blowing up a Pri would work better. Then any mistakes, or random GTA weirdness, would still trigger the wanted level that you would need to get rid of yourself, but the primary task would not make things harder. Giving up your location from blowing up the Pris already skews things very much in favor of the hunters.
being flung across the street by 3 other cars while halfway through entering the bullet must be one of the most epic STH scene's we've ever seen. This one is definitely going down in the history books as fantastic!
The first chase was LEGENDARY.
This „we don’t call lester“ feels like the old episodes where you didn’t think about calling

I kid you not I'm sitting here in my bed going through a fibromyalgia flare up watching this with my heat pack and my TENS machine. Chronic pain buddies! Survive the hunt is one of the few things that cheers me up when my body shuts down and is one of the only things I look forward to. I'm sending you so much love! I'm here with you xx

Always a great time watching Survive The Hunts! Would love to see a cross-over with Fail Race and Bay Area Buggs where the team from 5PD RP as the police as the FailRace team do their Hunt Shangaans.
Hunters having to not get seen by the police breaking laws while trying to hunt down Alex in 24 hours would be cool to see.

This classic version is the best imo
I would say you should be able to call Lester but only to remove cops. Not to turn a blind eye. So you have to blow the cars up before calling him.
A lot of movie-esque events happened in this sth. Definitely a fun one to watch! But I'd imagine it'd have been a stressful one without Lester. Always nail biting endings!
The entire thing had me on the edge of my seat. The unexpectedly pri landing. The narrow escapes. The getting in the car as its being punted. The hangar gunfight. The emergency takeoff that if one second slower would have been the end.
I can’t remember how many times I have rewatched the airplane taking off and with all of the shenanigans going on it makes that more epic!
This is a good version of STH. not being able to call of the police makes it more fun to watch.
This has got to be my favorite Survei the Hunt of all time ngl

Finding your target by stumbling over it. If that is not classic Failrace I do not know what is. Harrowing last second escapes. Dumb luck hunters plowing into Alex. Traps and desperate times =desperate measures. Then that ending. Just awesome. You had me apllauding at that hunt.
I like these new, more aggressively played STH's. Much more interesting than stealthing around all the time. Good work.
The last bit flying over the 6x6 was the final nail today...this ep had everything..niceeeee

Almost 4 years of Survive The Hunt and this is undoubtedly one of my absolute favourites. Keep up these entertaining hunts Alex and failrace crew!
This was fantastic, messy, engaging, action-packed and nostalgic! That's what I love about the original format! It's simple, easy to understand and I feel like it makes for a lot of chases (might just be me though 'cause I can't really see why that would be). We also usually like the things we used to have because they feel safer.
I expect some kamikaze attack against the blimp at the end, but it was fun af, the jumping from the fence to a pree was hilarious, a real FR moment :D

That rule set is hectic! Jumping over the fence practically on to a Prius was perfection.

Amazing episode. So many insane moments and so much luck that the animation already started when you left Michael's house. I really love that you can't call Lester even though it makes it tough. The strategies to get rid of Cops and Hunters are so different.
This was almost perfect. In fact, the only thing missing was taking out the blimp via plane at the end. Or perhaps parachuting onto its top.
This one has got to be contender for the best, if not one of the best STHs we've ever had. Driven like an absolute plank, going all out, & pulling luck where there is none. Massive kudos to the hunters, but it was just too good an opportunity for Alex to be caught in the end. Amazing vid all the way, mon. ;)
Have watched a no chase STH right before, coming directly into a chase here (and the episode in total) was kind of a gift.

Definitely one of the best ones of late! Thank you so much for the return to 'classic STH' ruleset (mostly), I absolutely love this version of it the most! Also - I was admittedly not liking the idea of 'no Lester' when you first said it - but after witnessing it it's actually a GREAT addition to this ruleset, it dramatically increases the action! Amazing driving in this one too. Great stuff!!!
This episode was a banger! Idk what else could top this one, from the luck of landing on top of a prii , to narrowly getting trampled down and getting in the bullet, to evading with a jet, is pure gold!!
That sudden impact just as you get into the bullet after tagging Michael's pri was probably my favorite moment. You probably had 1 extra frame of time before that would've just knocked you over.
One thought that occurs to me, I wonder why you don't just back up when the AI does it's little "This guy is going slow, I'm gonna go around him". It'd put you behind the troublesome car and maybe make them suspicious of something else.

The Michael house moment was just peak comedy. Coming out early enough to avoid getting ran over into oblivion, and late enough to not have the Bullet yeeted into another dimension.

Also, it would have been insanely hilarious to go through all that only to hit the lamp post you narrowly avoided taking off in the end.

I have seen every survive the hunt and this one was amazing, I think having no access to Lester is a great idea, i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. A suggestion would be that maybe instead of having no Lester there is a limited amount of times you can use him, you know, so you die instantly every time you try to destroy a prii.
It's so incredibly rewarding and refreshing for Alex to win every once in a while
