    Hello Arch. Jon! Correction lang po. Although naisabatas ang RA 9266, nagpetition po ang PICE at some point after that and eventually umakyat po sa Court of Appeals. Doon, pinaboran po ang petition nila. Kaya sa ngayon po, null and void ang Sections 302.3 and 302.4 of the Revised IRR ng PD 1096. Therefore, legal pa rin pumirma ang mga CE. (Source: 93917 CA Decision) God bless po.🙂

      hello, on the matter of technicality pwd mo sabihin na "pwde" pa kyong pumirma ng Architectural Plans. But the better question is : are you qualified to do architectural plans? maaring ang iniisip mo ay "alam mo mag-design ng bahay". but take note, the Architects domain includes architectural plaaning and design of other edifices such as hotels, highrise condominiums, hospitals, airports, etc...simply put, our education and specialization are different from each other. May kanya-kanya tayong specialization. Bakit ka pipirma sa isang bagay na hindi saklaw ng scope, specialization at education mo. Yung iba pa nga sa inyo, kukuha lang ng architecture graduates para gumawa tapos pnpirmahan nila. we have our own specific scope.

    Arkitek JON, fully agree here at dapat lang talaga.
    Architectural Plans and Documents should definitely be signed and sealed by an Architect who designed/supervised the design process of any project.
    Dahil kung hindi mangyayari yun, sa umpisa pa lang ay nagkalokohan na.
    Ang unang nawala na agad dun ay yung GENUINE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES na siyang dapat na mailapat na serbisyo sa isang proyekto sa Architectural Plans nito.

    Hindi pirma ang "pagkakaiba"... kundi "IBA" talaga ang pinag aralan ng isang Arkitekto kumpara sa Civil Engineer. Architecture is a field of Specialization of ARCHITECTS and that's a fact.

    As a Civil Engineer, I agree na Architect is the only professional to sign Architectural plans. However it varies from structure to sturcture. If ang structure is a warehouse type or structure na nasa engineering plants and the like, I don't think Architect is suited to sign plans for that kind of structure (floor plans, elevations, site dev. etc.). However for structure that is used for commercial or residential, located in an urban or rural area intended for public use, I strongly agree na Architect talaga ang ma sign ng Architectural plans for that. So therefore, the previlage to sign a certain plan might depend on type of structure, and it is not fair to say that floor plan, elevations, site dev. etc. are solely for Architects, maybe examine muna natin ang type of structure.

      yung para sa engineer para sa engineer lang dapat, yung para sa architect para sa architect lang dapat.. may kanya kanya tayong specialization, wag poh tayong magka gulo sa bagay nayan tayo po ay mag tulungan, mag bigayan para sa ika uunlad ng bawat propesyon.. godbless poh.

    Sir John pwede mag vlog yong mga material sa bahay like anong klase hollow block, sumento na bibilin, cheaper or pricey ? Bakal ganoon kakapal bubong materials ..... bottom line compare from MURA OR MAHAL NA MATERIALS. suggestion Lang po . Thanks for the video.

    6 months na Kasi mahigit , pero ayw pa nla ipahiram I ibgay mother title namin Kasi portion lang binenta ko po . Hanggat Wala daw Yung approved sketch plan di ko pa daw makukuha Yung mother title

    Civil or structural ang mostly liable for a building if earthquake happen ee mostly for faulty wiring thT cause fire ar is only for the design of a building the beauty of a building the me is for the industrial aspect

    Topic request po, sana mapansin :)
    Baka pwede po pareview mga CHB alternatives like yung panel at block systems: EPS Mesh panel (M2 at SRC mga local dist/manufacturer), First Walltech (parang same design concept to Sterling Plaswall used in some mass housing projects except they use EPS in between, Smartblock from Smart Masonry. Meron din akong nakita parang CHB pa din but precast with reinforcement comes in .25m x 1m blocks and claims to be 3000 psi.

    Sir jun arkitek halimbawa po ganito kunwari costumer mo ako ang pag design ko ang anak ko na architecture din pero dipa nakapag board pero kapag magpagawa ako drawing sa kanya kapag gagawain na ang bahay kailangan may supervision mo ok ba ganon. Salamat sir.

    Hi! Arch. Jon, thanks for the informative videos. Well, i wanna ask your idea about plan signatories. Lets say, theres major failure in a building. Are all designers or signatories liable? Or the liability will just depend on which area of failure (AR, CE, ID, MEPFS). And how about OBO's liability since they approved blueprints and issued bldg. Permit. Arch. Jon, hopefully you can share your idea for this issue. And for others well also learn a lot. Thanks . . .

      Hi Francis, yes kung sino nkpirma dun sa specific scope na ngka-problema sya ang liable. and of course, those who approved and issued the Permits kht sablay should also be liable. thanks

    Hi sir! Baka po pwede magtanong. Magkano po kaya sa tingin niyo ang dapat na presyo para sa binebenta naming lupa for quarrying daw. 23 hectares. 18m po kasi ang napagkasunduan imi-minus pa ron ang taxes. Norzagaray, Bulacan.

      As per Bldg Code, kailangan...hnd pwdng Civil Engineer lang ang pumirma sa lahat. Hndi nya specialization lahat

    Arkitek JON, hindi ba pwede halimbawa pag ginagawa ng ibang Architect yung plan bago nya i finalize ang plan i pa Check nya muna sa iyo for approval bago nya ifinalize para kung ikaw din ang papipirmahin at least na check mo naman.

      Hi Jerry, big projects have 3rd Party Consultants even Government Projects. At ok na ok yun...but for a small residential house, why would an Owner hire an Architect only to ask another Architect to check the plans? Ibig sabihin nun 2 Architects ang babayaran mo...another thing, unless an Architect is formally/legally involved in the Project hindi nya pwdeng pakialaman ang trabaho ng iba. We have such a thing as "professional ethics." thanks

    How about ako ang nagdesign at gumuhit dahil may background ako sa Architecture pero hindi nakapag-board exam at gusto kong ipa-check at kung okey naman, pipirmahan mo ba kapalit ng proper professional fee?

      if you are the Client at may mga ginawa kang designs to better express what you really want/preferences/ideas then I think ok lang. But if you are someone offering services at ipapapirma mo lang sa akin, sorry po I will not😊

    Hi Jon,
    I'm looking for an Architect who is trustworthy, transparent, honest, and able to design and build my house in the Phil. I believe, you meet these criteria. I planned to go home by next year (March or April 2021). Hopefully, vaccine will be available by that time and international travel restriction will be unrestricted.

      sa mga probinsya nkakalusot paminsan-minsan..pero dito sa Metro Manila hindi na. ibabalik ang plano

    Wala nman na something happened sa inyo, kasi nasa civil at structural ang stability ng structure, yan ang pina ka importante, physical appearance ng structure sa inyo, pina pa laki mo lang yong something hppened, pag bumagsak ang building krgo ng civil/ structural yn. Wla nman kyong papil dyan.

    Archi ano po ba yung specification sa isang gusali na liability ng architect example 2storey na bahay kung sa structure civil engineer or structural engineer yung may liability ng 15 yrs eh ano naman po sa architect? Kasi sa building permit 4 ang pipirma jan na engineer.. civil, archi, electrical engr at sanitary...

      Wala yata silang ganun kung ano ang liability nila pag nagawa yon project. Unlike Civil, Structural and Electrical.

      Sa building permit may "architectural permit" which is signed and sealed by an architect. Architect of record ang tawag doon sa nag sign & seal ng plans. Meron siyang civil liability 15 years incase may nangyari sa building. Pag nag sign and seal si architect di natatapos doon yung trabaho nya. May obligastion sya tignan kung nasunod ang drawing at specifications nya sa actual construction. Pag nag collapse ang building kasali si architect sa imbestigasyon. Imagine tama yung detalye na binigay ng structural engineer pra sa beam pero dahil sa kapabayaan ni architect di nasunod yung plans. Iniba ng may ari yung area na yon tapos mas mabigat na yung loading compaired sa actual drawings. Kaninong kasalanan yon? May tinatawag din na architect incharge, sya yung na nasa site ,to see to it na nasunod lahat ng plans architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics etc. Sa totoo lang nakakatakot ang civil liability ng architect kasi any descipline na na nag cause ng failure kasali sya imbestigation. Pag napatunayan na may negligence sa obligasyon nya maari syang makulong at magbayad ng penalty. Madami pang grounds pwde madawit si architect like may namatay sa building dahil na trap because of improper planning, non compliance of the building code, violation of building code, wrong material specifications,..etc..... etc..

      Architect tlg ang ppirma sa lahat ng architectural plans kahit hanggang 50-Storeys pa yan...may kanya-kanyang scope ang mga professionals. Structural Engr angg pipirma sa structural plans, Electrical Engineer sa electrical plans, Master Plumber sa plumbing plans, etc...

    Arkitek Jon, paano kung di mu nman nmimeet p ung architect at engineer. Kausap mu lng yung contractor. Paano ko mllman n legit n architect sia at yung engineer n gumgawa ng design at structural planning at yung piprma dun?
