@@VSM-cq8tp Did some quick digging so dont expect indepth details. Yes its about lying but its main purpose is to protect oneself under threat of persecution or compulsion of your religious belief. Theres actually rules about it but I'll leave that for now. Not all muslims praticed the taqiyya thought. The Sunni rejects the practice and the Shia permits the practice.

@@thepilgrim1581 the prophet pbuh came to know with confirmation from revelation. The biggest proof is the revelation itself. 1 small example of its truth is that Allah SWT makes a claim to protect the revelation. All Muslims read the same Qur'an to this day and it was transmitted through the heart primarily. Unfortunately the Bible is corrupted and contains many errors and contradictions. Therefore it categorically can not be from the Almighty.
As for authority given to Khadeeja and her uncle, that has no basis in reality when looking at the status of the prophet Muhammed pbuh. This was just a means to preparing the prophet pbuh when conveying the message and from the ultimate authority Allah the one and only

In fact the prophet pbuh's reaction is quite natural. Living his life for 40 plus years without revelation and after receiving the first revelation, feeling shook up and then admitting it to others? Shows indeed he was a sincere person. Alhamdulillah
