If you are thinking about the short red plants, it's Alternathera reineckii "Mini". If you are thinking about the plant which is exactly in the middle, the bright-green one, it's Nymphoides sp. Taiwan (but it's not a stemmed plant :) ).
Indeed, there were no CO2s during the show - but the plants were pregrown long time before the exhibition, and of course there was a lot of CO2 added during that time. Check Tropica's website, "Layout" sub-section, there are all the tanks shown in my video, with detailed description.
The one at 0:30? Ludwigia repens "Rubin" - it's written on the "plant map" shown before the aquarium, didn't you notice that? I filmed these maps ony for this purpose - to show people what species of plants are where in these aquariums.
It's Nymphoides sp. Taiwan. Check my other video "Aquarium Ideas from InterZoo 2012 - Tropica (pt. 9)", at 04:19 - you can clearly see informations below the aquarium.
All tanks were illuminated by T5 daylight fluorescent lamps. Check Tropica.dk website, there are all details provided there (layouts number 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, 48 and 47 :) ).
Wanna say love ur vids and scapes. It nice to put on the headphones listening to the instrumental music on ur scapes, zoning out in amazement.Keep it going with the great vids.
Thanks for clarifying. It was the Nymphoides sp. Taiwan. I looked for the layout on Tropica but they did not have the one in the video. I eventually saw the plant in 2 other layouts but not as a main focal point as the one in your video. Great Videos!!! (Side note: lol I could not describe the plant so i used stem. other than long petiole)
Tell you what - go to 02:05, switch to 720p HD mode, and go Fullscreen. There is a map of all plants, with plant names. You will find all infos on this map.
It's Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba", and some Eleocharis sp. "Mini" in the corners. Check 2:04 - there is a map and list of all plants, just switch to 720p and go Fullscreen, you'll be able to see all these small letters. Aquarium plants will grow well even using "standard" 865 and 950 T8 fluorescent tubes. But there are also numerous lamps designed specially for plants, like Flora-GLO by Hagen.
i love your videos also the relaxing background music... but what i ask myself, how do they transport all these finished planted tanks to the interzoo without destroying these layouts...?
It's not like "fish is having problems with its vision", it's like "You have problem with providing your fish with the right type of food", mate. Do the flakes sink after a while, or they will just float, even if very wet?
very pretty setups,i want to start learning aquascaping,i just wonder, how do you deal with dirt from the fish, wont all the dirt sink to the bottom hidden inside the "grass" ?
Apparently there are some deficiencies in fertilization. This is probably the reason why you're getting algae - one of the nutrients for the plants is lacking, but others are available. The plants can't consume them, becasue they are restricted by the one which is missing, so algae took advantage of this, and started growing better. Unfortunately, I have no idea what nutrient is missing. Try forums like "Planted Tank Net", there are lots of helpful experts there :)
Hey mate, thanks for your kind words! :) All these aquascapes are not "mine" - I mean, I didn't make them :) I only filmed them, they were arranged by several aquascapers from the UK.
Myriophyllu mattogrossense "Red", Hydrocotyle tripartita, Ammania sp. "Bonsai", Eleocharis sp. "Mini". Lista jest podana na tablicy informacyjnej którą widać od 1:39 do 1:47. Po to te tablice filmowałem. Wystarczy się przełączyć na 720p i wrzucić Fullscreen, i wszystko jest doskonale czytelne.
Got a tank ready to aquascape, I have some intersting white rocks with black specs in them, a couple of large granite rocks and sand with amazon soil a heap of christmas moss and courser substrate as well. Any suggetions on how my layout should be done?
Wht do you mean "the name"? The name of the manufacturer of the aquarium? Or what...? Anyway, all technical details of this tank are availabel at Tropica's website, in "Layouts" section. This tank has number 53.
Wow amazing! Hey how r u? I need help my elocharis parvula dwarf hair grass is not growing or spreading. Can you help me? I'm currently adding co2 and seachem line of ferlitilizers. I recently just had a algea boom. Could that be the problem?
At the moment I have two videos showing how to set up a planted tank. They are about nanoaquarium, but still there are some useful infos there. Check my videos entitled "Setting up planted nano aquarium - timelapse", and "Aquascaping - How to make trees in planted aquarium" (uploaded 23.05.2013 and 30.05.2013, respectively :) ).
Well, most people find big fish more attractive than small fish. I noticed it many times during fairs or aquarium exhibitions - a large crowd always stands in front of any arowana aquarium, whereas only experts can appreciate tanks with small fish :)
"Teraz" to znaczy kiedy?
Well, not that difficult as it seems :) You just remove all the water, cover the layout with pieces of plastic foil, to avoid drying out, put the aquarium on some sort of flat, rigid surface, and that's it :) The smaller the aquarium the easier it can be done :) Of course I don't know if Tropica is doing it like this, but I know what other people do :) It also depends on the layout - if there is mostly driftwood overgrown by moss all you need for transportation is some plastic buckets :)
Hallo,es ist alles so schön ............. vielen dank für die super Aufnahmen, usw. Ich würde sehr gerne wissen wer der Musiker ist ??? schreiben Sie ihn mir bitte hier, vielen dank schon jetzt. Gruß
Once per day. That is what the book say. My big fish got problem with its vision. It can't see anything above its head. What can I do. I am using float flake
"since in reality we don't try to spent 3 hour in the bush, emphasizing what's going on in a certain spot in the grass in the bottom part of a tree trunk" - well, as a matter of fact - I do :) Not on land, but underwater. Two years ago I spent 3 weeks in Egypt, filming one and the same spot of the reef. Check my video "Marine aquarium fish in natural habitat - coral reef, Red Sea" (uploaded 19 Feb 2012)
What do you mean by "sand"? Normal sand (like on the beach or in the sandbox), or "substrate" (I mean, either special substrate for plants, or gravel etc.)
What 14 people looked at this and said. "You know what? This sucks! I am going to click dislike" All of those scapes are absolutely awe inspiring, what a great way to spend 7 minutes :)
I love these tropica exhibitions. Everything is explained so.... professionally. It is always inspirational.
Check Tropica's website, there is a "Layouts" section, where all the layouts are described in details.
Mark Evans has always been my favorite aquascaper. I regard him as the best aquascaper in the World. This of course is my opinion. Great work Mark!!

1:33 - 130x55x55 cm, Tropica layout no 48 (check their website!). 3:00 - 130x50x50 cm, layout no 50. 3:57 - 130x55x55 cm, layout no 52.

Johnny, most of these tanks have inline CO2 reactors hooked up to filter return hose.

Very very cool! Looking at a bran new art form here.
Visit Tropica's website and go to Layouts, every data is there! :)
Thanks! :) As for the levitating moss-balls, I think they are just fragments of styrofoam, wrapped in moss and growed for some time.
Thank you very much! It is just its so hard to find plants like those here in Canada. I don't know why...
there are a lot of kinds of people. two of them are the one who appreciates and the other who do not.
i love your videos also the relaxing background music... but what i ask myself, how do they transport all these finished planted tanks to the interzoo without destroying these layouts...?
i am going to watch all 96 of your vids!!!!!
It's not like "fish is having problems with its vision", it's like "You have problem with providing your fish with the right type of food", mate. Do the flakes sink after a while, or they will just float, even if very wet?
Mesmerising! I thought my tank looked good but now...
Yup :) Nice colors, together with this red plant in the middle :)
What kind of grass do you mean? There are at least two different species used in these tanks - what tank do you think of? What time of the video?
very pretty setups,i want to start learning aquascaping,i just wonder, how do you deal with dirt from the fish, wont all the dirt sink to the bottom hidden inside the "grass" ?
Beautiful.
True, very original layouts :)
Good inspiration! What is le light used over those tanks? I really like it.
Perfect worth watching. Thankyou for giving me a opportunity to watch this . Nelson lopez
yes it is cool! Any ideas what plants are these? the carpet one I believe is so called Cubae- what are the others on/around the rocks?
wow these are beautiful! i want layout 49!!!!

can u make video how you do it from scratch.. I like the second one very nice

Hey mate, the music is called "Malaysian skies", and is available from royalty-free.tv :)
Hey, do you know it? I didn't ask Tropica's people at the booth, so I don't know anything about CO2 supplementation in those tanks...
We enjoy your work .........
What are the purplish red plants called? They are stunning. Easy to maintain?? thanks.
Beautiful, but how on earth would you clean some of these?! O.o
Got a tank ready to aquascape, I have some intersting white rocks with black specs in them, a couple of large granite rocks and sand with amazon soil a heap of christmas moss and courser substrate as well. Any suggetions on how my layout should be done?
Mate, the biggest fun of aquascaping is to design everything yourself! :)
***** LOL :)

Hi, can you give more information about layout 53. Parameters,lightning......
Do the plants produce oxygen bubbles?
the one at the bottom 2:14. Also I have another question do live plants need a special lightning?
Huh? cant see a co2 installation anywhere, i thought that it was necessary for such beautiful and healthy plants?
Well, I don't know, either... Do you have aquarium shops in the city where you live?
@ 5:54 nice to see some rosy tetras being used
Where can I find that green grass at the bottom of the tanks?
Nice tanks. I hope mine look that good one day!
Good luck! :)
Well, most people find big fish more attractive than small fish. I noticed it many times during fairs or aquarium exhibitions - a large crowd always stands in front of any arowana aquarium, whereas only experts can appreciate tanks with small fish :)
How long do you have this aquariums? I mean, when was it set up, with E. parvula and all other plants / substrate / fish?
The plants are beautiful, although it might be too symmetrical for me.
Indeed, it seems to ba somewhat symmetrical and "organized"...
koushinproductions deeeredeeeed
What is the name of the red plants at the beginning of the video?
First of all. Great job! Beautiful! I have one question duh? How often do you feed the fish? Or do you feed the fish?
Bedziesz teraz w Grudziadzu i Szczecinie na wystawach?
"Teraz" to znaczy kiedy?

Once per day. That is what the book say. My big fish got problem with its vision. It can't see anything above its head. What can I do. I am using float flake
Yup, that's true, they are very educational :)
Tropica is an Aquatic Leader.

Great, I'm happy to hear that :)

Layout 53 by Mark Evans is total aquascaping porn! Amazing coverage. Thanks for sharing.
Am I diving in a lake ?
Yeah, I like them, too :)
2:15... just amazing!
do u realy need sand for your plants??
Not necesarly it just lets your plants roots realy shoot and it also looks nice
What do you mean by "sand"? Normal sand (like on the beach or in the sandbox), or "substrate" (I mean, either special substrate for plants, or gravel etc.)
How do these people inject co2? I don't see any co2injection thing.?
Hehe, that's right! :) Share the link as far as you can, let's show to the world that holidays do not influence the number of views! ;)
Yup, it's really good :)
Perfect thanks for sharing this setups worth watching. Nelson lopez.
Of course you should feed the fish :) I feed mine twice a day, or three times a day, in small portions :)
Aaah, ok thanks for the explanation...

What 14 people looked at this and said. "You know what? This sucks! I am going to click dislike"
All of those scapes are absolutely awe inspiring, what a great way to spend 7 minutes :)
Hehe, there is always someone around who dislikes things ;)
I think they were just jealous of the fish! I can understand though, they get to live in these beautiful environments
UuuuuuggghhHHHHHHH!!! I wish plants weren't so freaking expensive!!
