felt so bad for Karl Anderson, worked so many years to get to a major promotion in USA... Freaking legend
Nothing to feel bad about, he made it. Made it to mainstream TV, pay per views, multiple Wrestlemanias, but mostly importantly cashed those paychecks for his family.

The wwes master plan is to creatively stifle wrestlers with such shitty stories and then release them so they can flourish and get the pro wrestling industry over
That's because wrestlers like being wrestlers, not sports entertainers. It takes a special breed of human to withstand the wwe corporate machine and be able to be successful. Most just flounder and collect a paycheck which is what these two were doing. Now they're back in the wrestling biz and having the time of their lives

man can i get friends like gallows and anderson because they've said themselves that one of the main reasons that they resigned with wwe was because they did it to be with AJ , which is so wholesome
it's the reason why they went in the first place. I bet if AJ stayed in Japan, they would have stayed.

something in me died when i had to watch these 2 be constantly buried on national television. When they resigned their deal another part of me died inside because i really thought they had enough but for some reason ended up resigning, and i'm thankful that they got released, THEY ARE FREE NOW. Their wwe entrance music will forever be one of the best IMO

I know it was probably disappointing debuting in front of almost no one, but they should know I popped my ass off at home, as I'm sure so many did, and we all knew they'd be there. I know that's no consolation to the real deal.

WWE try so hard to lock everyone up to Big Contracts to not go to AEW, Yet the few guys that stayed like The Good Brothers get punished for it instead of being grateful, You can’t Win with those people
It’s a lose-lose situation for anyone that aren’t part of the “brass ring”
They're not going to try that anymore. WWE has seen how guys are used in AEW after they leave. If I were Vince and I saw what Brodie Lee's doing, I'd laugh my ass off. They're not a threat. No one's departure has affected the wrestling business, or WWE, like Hall and Nash in the 90's. WWE may have been a little worried in the beginning, but now they know that AEW's a joke. No ex-WWE guys, except Jericho or Moxley are doing anything over there - not even FTR.
Well, COVID occurred. That changed a lot of circumstances. And, IMO, they weren't punished. They still got paid the big contract money for the time that they continued working with WWE. They weren't used well during that time, unfortunately, but that's not punishment.
These conversations generally have a weird mix of gratefulness, that they worked with amazing people and they were paid really well, and bitterness, that they could have done so much more if if if. Everybody's interviews are just a question of how much of each there is.
@@ummacnai I agree. I may be the minority here, but I don't feel sorry for a lot of the talent who complain after they're released. Usually it's about their push or not being used enough or well at all. They're getting paid tons of money to do pretend fighting. They both have nice new cars, big houses, and their families are set for life. Is it so bad that your pretend wrestling characters aren't the way you want them to be? Maybe I'm being too logical and I'm not thinking in an echo chamber with everybody else.
@@al5306 I think it's fair to look at it both ways. People want to feel valued, and that's not always just their pocketbook. Wrestlers are a weird amalgam of entertainer and athlete, who are both creative and want to show that off, and competitive and want to be seen as the best. Because everything's to the whim of creative and Vince, they often get hamstrung in both those. So, I think it's completely valid to say "I think I can do better, can perform better, that I was not valued they way I should have been". That's the guys who bet on themselves. And in cases like Cody, Drew, and Christian, for example, they left and proved they could. Moxley and Jericho, who were both seen as great in WWE, want to show their creativity as well.
If someone shows NO gratefulness, then I think they're being unfair to WWE, but I think most of the people coming out do still have that appreciation and gratitude, while still believeing they can be better. I think we tend to focus on the "They're trashing Vince!!!" without acknowledging their gratefulness.
Finally, i just watch this interview. As Bad news Barret, such a disaster WWE did with these guys while they were so hot with Bullet Club. But their future will be better for sure ! Thanks Chris and please have an itw with Kenny Johnson about his work, it could be interesting 😎

We put it one of the greatest tag teams in the business, and they were done dirty and WWE multiple times. They should have been put over so much better than they were, they should have had a long Title reign and they didn't. They really screwed that up for them, I feel bad for the guys but it's time for a new chapter.

If they joined AEW, sure they would be super stacked with tag teams. But honestly, I’m not sure how they’d fit in at the moment with storylines. I also wonder if the Bucks were also afraid of just getting all their friends

I was the most surprised they were let go. WWE spent so much money on them and the locker room seemed to like them. But I'm glad they can be successful no matter where they land
