I think you're mistaken about NC hurricane. I believe Franklin Graham came on taking donations and Joni/Daystar pledged to match all donations, 100% going to Samaritan's Purse. Your $100 donation would be $200. I'm sure you can go back and watch that episode to verify.

Daystar is registered as a “church” but it should not be. By no definition of the word is Daystar a church yet they enjoy all the tax deductible benefits of a church! This has to be stopped. If the government has to intervene it must be stopped. CBN has its Operation Blessing that does an extremely good job of helping people in need such as drilling wells for areas that do not have a clean water source. They send medical teams with ministry members to pray for and do medical intervention for poor people around the world. They have many other charitable causes that they fund and they are not even a network like Daystar is. I would never give money to Daystar. Imagine the fund raising that has to be done by the so called “ministries” that are on Daystar! Of course they do reach around the world so they are able to get funds from all around the world and there are well meaning people whose do give money.
