    I love watching how different people breed and farm their worms. Its great seeing the different styles. Been trying it out for 9 months now and starting a setup similar to yours. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!

    I’ve been worm-farming for a year and still watch vids of people also doing it. :-P
    I want to approach some local restaurants to see if I can get their food waste for my hungry Malaysian-blues!!

    When you say reset, Campost for the quails, what do you reset the compost with? Thanks.

      So all I use is wood chips , and the greens that I bring them daily for food along with other stuff. They live on the pile eat bugs and poop all over it which makes it heat up fast, I take out before conplete broken down and then 1/4 sift and feed to my babies .

    Worm bins and gardening work in comedy. If you lose interest in gardening you lose the why of worm farming. I think it was the time I threw thawed frozen slop in Vermi bags. How mine died out. Someday...

      You aren't running worms anymore?

  • @keelapermaculturefarm
    @keelapermaculturefarm 8 месяцев назад +1

    Why do you not just leave the worms in the hatching bins and let them breed there? Is it cause you want fresh bedding?

    • @sandtosoil
      @sandtosoil  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah that, and the bedding is alot bigger in the nursery bins, you can but I also just keep starting new bins with the new worms.

      @sandtosoil I've been selling worms for 7 years. But I only found out about breeder bin today! I'm watching everyone's videos and trying to work out how I'm going to set mine up. Either gonna use various miss shaped vessels I have around the farm for free or make something like you have that looks much easier to manage. Thanks for the videos.

      @@keelapermaculturefarm this is why I watch almost every worm farming video I can find. Just learned yesterday that a study says that they prefer pH 5! I'm going to test that out but it goes against everything everyone else says.

      First time here. Nice setup. What is in that avian bedding? You seem so pissed at other people. Sorry you are upset. Luck and happier times to you. Forget the haters. You wasted a lot of video time on them.

    • @sandtosoil

      Casting, worms , and tea order for local pick up. We also have a small nursery and market garden. Lots of animals also.

      Sometimes, but I usually grind it and at 7 other ingredients. But organic chicken feed seems to be good.
