This made me realize how quickly I read because sometimes I read two books in a day. My husband makes fun of me because apparently I have a look of intense concentration on my face and tune everything out when I read. He said he can’t tell if I’m enjoying it or not. I love all these cozy videos though! I need to check out some of these books though!

I am a very slow reader, I usually take a whole week to read a book xD I did have to read a book a day sometimes because of work (writing reviews) but I had to spend the whole day and usually also the night and felt burnt out. Also, the video was very relaxing and nice to listen to while stretching! ^v^ I don't remember all of the books you read but currently am translating A Crane Among Wolves by June Hur and I am almost to the end, it's honestly amazing with a lot of historical (Korean) detail, I'd definitely recommend if I didn't before! (I had 5 months to work on it so I could mention it before ^^'')
You mentioned cosy fantasy, and I immediately had to look up Half a Soul. It reminds me of Gail Carriger's The Parasol Protectorate series! Soulless is book 1. It's a fun fantasy series set in Victorian London with lots of comedy. She also has a YA series set in the same world. Book one is Etiquette & Espionage, which is also fun, funny, and steampunk.
Omg I’ve never seen anyone else recommend Gail Carriger! I love her books, particularly the Etiquette and Espionage series - the steampunk + mystery + academy vibes are right up my alley. I’ve seen a lot of people recommending Half a Soul, and now that you say it reminds you of Carriger, I am more inclined to try it out.
most people could probably start and finish a book in about 7 hours . but they don’t for a bunch of reasons. if you look at the average screen time it’s around 9 hours/day. what i’ve found is that simply by reducing my screen time, i actually have more time to read instead of just mindlessly scrolling on my phone. and what really helps with that is using my kindle!! much more convenient than lugging around a physical book
I personally rated that book a 2... it just didn't have my attention at all like I was hoping. I feel like it's hard sometimes to find really good thrillers.
I also just got to book 100 of the year! I find on average I read anywhere from 2-5 books a week but I work from home so there's more time for reading some days than others!

I love Chinese novels and mythology so I hope it can salvage my disappointment with YA lately 🤞
@@jaimefok have you ever tried Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation or Heaven’s Official Blessing? It’s what started me into Chinese novels. They are not mythology or legends, they are historical fantasies (that has genre’s of their own like wuxia,xianxia,etc). I would really recommend them if you see them 👍 One of the books does have smut though but at the end of the series.
I'm 70 percent through tower of dawn and empire of storms and I'm now so over the series and can't believe I have to read another large one after this and i just want to read new books already but I can't read new books because the series is too intense

How should I tell you about fox wife I mean l liked this book but it is definitely not the best book I have read. I gave this one 3 star i enjoyed the plot but the book felt really slow . I was waiting for something to happen but it took almost 70% of the book . But the premise of this book is really interesting. I don't usually comment on any videos so I don't know how to really write concisely 😅😂 . I hope it is not boring to read. 😭 Even right now I am thinking what to say. I don't think I have even done a great job explaining 🤣 anything. I hope you don't mind 😅

Wow 1 books a day for a week. I did 2books recently in 2 days and I could barely read by the end of the day, it was blurry. Do you have some tricks that help you read for long time without having your eyes burning or getting that blurry vision ?
2 books in 2 days is amazing! Haha when my eyes get tired, I just make sure to look away from my book and focus on something far in the distance for a few minutes!
I’m at 5 books and 4 volumes of manga this month so far. I nearly finished Empire of Silence in a day (700 pages)…I think I made it through 550 pages Monday and then finished last night. It was wild 😝.
