THIS IS FROM NEAR THE END. One of my favourite scenes in A cinderella story with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. NOTE: I DON'T OWN ANYTHING NOR DO I CLAIM TO DO SO.
Austin was hurt of Sam secrecy and he is a coward Sam was right he was afraid to show his true self and Sam got hurt in process glad the idiot finally Realised that Sam was his dream girl along and finally show his true self
What pisses me off most is that NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. The principal doesn't intervene, the cheerleading coach doesn't cut it off, no teachers shut them up. They just sit by and watch a poor girl have her secrets presented in an incredibly biased point of view.
What I didn't realize when I was little is that they called her a geek and a loser for being a server. She worked all the time and studied hard, she had more ambition and drive than any of them making fun of her.
@Savannah Jones-Verity Exactly! Humiliating others won't make people like her any better. OR give her new boyfriend who will actually WANT to be with her.
@ savannahjones-verity3308 And what did the step sisters even gain from peaking and exposing her emails? Austin has proven that he has absolutely NO feelings for either of them. He’s shown to be weirded out by them, especially when they both pretended to be Cinderella at the car shop and made a fool of themselves. You can’t make someone like you!
I hate how Austin just sits there when they start humiliating Sam. He doesn't stand up for her or nothing, just because he's afraid of what people might think. And really, how can the teachers, couch, principal etc just sit there and let this happen? They should have stopped the skit immediately.
Right . Those same ppl he’s trying to impress or maintain that cool nigga image for don’t give a fuck about him fr. They’re not living his life, he doesn’t owe them an explanation, & hell one of his so-called homies tried to ke-ke w/ his ex Shelby anyway .
@crownburgersrock12 She was kind of making fun of him too. Shelby was trying to get revenge on HIM for dumping her and HER for being the one that Austin loves and connects to the most. I assume he was kind of shocked and frozen too.
I hate this scene not just because of what they do, but I've been thinking this for the past couple years. No one does anything to stop it, the teachers just sit back and let it happen. They are publicly humiliating the girl and the teachers are laughing too. It's so unrealistic in that sense.
Shelby and the stepsisters are so mean. Austin or the Principle should've stopped this humiliation. But instead poor Sam was humiliated in front of the entire school. Poor Sam.
I don't know what would be a good or worse reaction is this happened to any of us, committing violence or running away from it like Sam did. This is the type of scene that makes you want to shout that famous Elephant Man quote ("I AM A HUMAN BEING!!!") or go on the stage and spread carnage to every one who torments you.
Something similar happened to me with my ex he played a video of me crying I was emotional after he lied to me it broke my heart so he played that all his friends and they blocked me saying I was crazy that hurt my feelings 😢
Honestly, the step sisters are in no position to make fun of anyone. Their behavior is so awkward and obnoxious and no one, NOT even Shelby's and her friends seem to like them very much. If those twins went to my high school, they'd be labeled as weird freaks and their social status would be at the same level as Sam.
@@amylee8969 the stepsisters were used as pawns and manipulated tf out of Shelby by trying to make it seem like Sam was a man-stealer, when we all knew that Shelby was a placeholder at best. Austin went looking for someone better, and that someone was Sam; diner girl & all 🫠
I was around 14 when I first saw this movie. And to this day, this scene still stings my heart. It makes me think why do kind hearted innocent people get treated like this?
The kind of humiliation that Sam was experiencing in this scene is so relevant to what Jesus experienced on Good Friday. Especially when they're jeering at Sam saying that she's the pretend Cinderella. There's a saying of "Jesus can relate to our pain". This scene really puts it into contacts. Jesus had experienced the same kind of pain that Sam Montgomery was experiencing in this scene
I wish that were true all over! I really do. But with today’s incompetent school system I doubt it…….unless people (like the parents) protest and fight for it.
Yes I agree! But the school system sucks now a days. I can conclude this cause I’m a teacher and I see how defiant and rude kids can be and get very little consequences. Authority always makes weak excuses to defend their bad behavior instead of holding them accountable. And the parents aren’t any better!
@sheryl B/c his character is portraid as a pushover whose scared to stand up for what they believe and state their own opinions. Which is why he allowed his controlling dad to push him around and use him to fufull his OWN dreams. It wasn't still Sam he began interacting with him he began standing up for himself.
@ amysoraghan18 Shelby humiliated Austin too. But I do agree what Sam took the worst of it. Shelby was just Jealous of their close bond and everything they had in common (even if it was secretive).
@ ambercrosland6472 And all for nothing. Their goal was to impress Austin and get him to fall in love with them by peaking at Sam’s emails and impersonating “Cinderella”. That would’ve failed. Austin has shown several times he has absolutely NO feelings for either of them. He was weirded out by them, especially during that car wash scene when they both tried to be Cinderella and made fools of themselves. You can’t make someone like you.
Once the principal and faculty realized this wasn’t a skit about school spirit and they were calling out people directly, this should have been shut down. How could this help anyone? Wow this scene is infuriating.
It was about school nonsense!! Humiliating Sam and Austin in front of everybody. The cheerleaders and the stepsisters made total asses out of themselves
I hate when the guy is not a bully but doesn't stop the bullies either! Like just sitting there and watching your 'clique' bully others? That just as bad if not worse
I’m more disappointed in the principal. Who saw this whole thing go down and did nothing to punish them. She’s the adult whose in charge of the whole school.
He was humiliated too……although Sam took the worst of it. I’m assuming he was frozen and shocked by Shelby’s shadiness. Even if he said something, the damage was done! Shelby and the twins embarrassed her in front of the school and exposed her identity.
Yeah if I was a staff member at this school I would have exploded in rage at this. As a principle, I would have gone on the stage and told the student body; "Attention Students, as of this moment the football team is officially disqualified from the playoffs and all clubs are hereby TERMINATED until further notice." Afterwards, I would take the queen bee and the stepsisters into my office and told them the following; "I can't tell if your incredibly cruel, incredibly stupid or both, but this behaviour is unacceptable regardless of how popular, rich, or any other reason. With that said this cruel action will be put on your permanent records but I promise to make the rest of your high school experience a constant chore; As of today the three of you are put on permanent detention and are banned from all clubs. Your detention time will be split between lines, cafeteria and janitorial work and if you skip out you will be expelled on the spot" Too brutal?
It's a beautiful story but it's quite unrealistic that the tomboy nerdy girl would date the popular cute guy everyone likes. Girls like Sam normally end up with guys like Carter.
I don't see how this will help her get Austin back. Frankly, if I were Austin, I'd stay away from her after this and wouldn't approach her even with a 10 mile pole. Like, was she expecting him to be proud of what she did?
It was really the step sisters who started this whole thing…..and for no reason. They both had a crush on Austin, but he has shown several times he wasn’t interested in either of them. In fact, he was weirded out by them. That’s why he walked away from them after The Cinderella scene at the car wash and thought to himself, “Damn these girls are creepy and weird.”
I really don’t understand what’s so wrong with her working at the diner? At least she’s got a fucking job, shit makes me mad. I would of said something if shit like this happened in front of me.
Lmao the kids in this movie were soo cruel for no reason at all, had me terrified of going to HS. Don't get me wrong teenagers can be an absolute NIGHTMARE but the notion that absolutely NO ONE reached out to Sam or tried to intervene, not even the faculty was unrealistic.
You're young when you feel terrible for Sam and cannot believe they would do something like this. You feel so sad for how helpless Sam is, and don't understand why no one helps her out. And if you can, you HAVE TO stand up to them without expecting help, otherwise you'll be helpless for the rest of your life. You would be wondering that Sam should have just walked up to her and slapped her across the face.
I don't think it was a part time job because Fiona makes Sam work 7 days a week every day. Almost like a full-time job. Sam never wanted to work at Fiona's diner, she was force to. Her stepfamily makes her work at the diner to humiliated her.
He was coward he was afraid to show who truly was And Sam got hurt in process but u can tell he regretted it he was hurt too by Sam secrecy and of course there private business being told in front of everyone but Sam the one got the worst

I still would've slapped him in the back of his head for not standing up for himself and not fighting for what he actually wants. Like tsk. Be a man and suck it up ! You want the girl ? Then go get her ! Just cause dad was right behind you and a bunch of peop doesn't stop your football player legs from running to catch her ! Haha ! I need to re-watch this again.
I would have loved to have seen Sam walk up to Shelby, punch her to death and then confess to everyone on stage...but then again, killing the queen bee stock character is only something they do in horror movies.

@ ambermedellin6832 He never sided with Shelby and her friends. In fact, he always seemed annoyed by them based on his body language. There’s a reason be broke up with Shelby. Especially after she insulted her at the restaurant by saying, “She’s so not getting a tip.”
Austin should've protect Sam. Even if his father & his friends would found out about his secret but he doesn't need 2worry about his popularity style. Those people who he thinks is his friend r not. I can tell that they're just using him 2 win the game because of his wining shot. People love who u want to love. Don't let anyone throw u away from that person and if ur friends turn against u after that, forget them.
Austin ames was coward here but in the end he finally realised his mistakes and showed his true self thanks to Sam telling him the truth he ran after the his girl the one he truly loved his cinderella Sam Montgomery
This was the most cruelist thing that these girls (the cheerleaders and the stepsisters) ever have done, and what bothers me the most is that the teachers, principal, and coaches did nothing to stop this public humiliation of Sam. Sam did not deserve to be humiliated this way! Everyone who was mean and abusive to Sam deserved what they got at the very end!
The teachers would have told Sam to just ignore Shelby and she'll give up. These adults would still be useless. I'm so glad that this did not happen at my school.
Shelly Cummings, what have I told you to stop humiliating Samantha Montgomery with this "Diner Girl" belittlement, intimidation, infringement, and transgression? That is the worst humiliation I ever heard in my entire life making such nasty humiliation! Perhaps you should work at Harold Montgomery's diner thinking how you like if everyone called you "Diner Girl" Perhaps you must think twice over what you did and make an apology to Samantha.
why the hell do these ppl think this is funny? it's so hurtful, it makes me sad. also during the movie, when sam hits her head on a locker, a guy nearby laughs. What the fuck? I felt so sorry for her.
The way she looked at Austin in the end screams for "please, stop them" but Austin didn't do anything :(

I know I'm 10 years late but what is the beautiful instrumental song in the background...I forever loved this movie but never really searched for this song but plzzzz
So mean and cruel...
And so funny 😂
I think she was just in shock, you know? Poor girl.
Austin should have atleast defended Sam instead of letting everyone make fun of her
Austin is a jerk (aside from not siding with Shelby and her friends).
@ ambermedellin6832
He never sided with Shelby and her friends. In fact, he always seemed annoyed by them based on his body language. There’s a reason be broke up with Shelby. Especially after she insulted her at the restaurant by saying, “She’s so not getting a tip.”
What this song when austin Find out Sam, a piano sad song please
I know this is just a movie but if that was me,Shelby would of gotten beat. This is one of my favorite movie even though.
Hillary looks so pretty in this scene.
This was the most cruelist thing that these girls (the cheerleaders and the stepsisters) ever have done, and what bothers me the most is that the teachers, principal, and coaches did nothing to stop this public humiliation of Sam. Sam did not deserve to be humiliated this way! Everyone who was mean and abusive to Sam deserved what they got at the very end!
that was fucked up
if you can upload this why cant you upload the rest of the movie in bits? :(

I hate Shelby ugh I wish Sam would have told her off
The teachers would have told Sam to just ignore Shelby and she'll give up. These adults would still be useless. I'm so glad that this did not happen at my school.
Amber Medellin that’s true
I was crying so bad in this scene eww eww
Shelly Cummings, what have I told you to stop humiliating Samantha Montgomery with this "Diner Girl" belittlement, intimidation, infringement, and transgression? That is the worst humiliation I ever heard in my entire life making such nasty humiliation! Perhaps you should work at Harold Montgomery's diner thinking how you like if everyone called you "Diner Girl" Perhaps you must think twice over what you did and make an apology to Samantha.
It’s upsetting when good old school girls are promised a good boyfriend and then turns out he’s a turncoat
Sam should get into a fight with shelby in a Cinderella story movie
That sounds a little too harsh.
Did anyone notice the mean girl (Shelby I think) bites her lip... like Bella Swan in the first twilight movie
Shelby is so evil sometimes with her two friends 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Well as Disney's "Descendants" would say, they're "Rotten to the Core".
What is the name of Shelby's white friend? I don't think it's ever stated in the film
At least Shelby avoids racism. Because she is not a racist. That's why she has a black friend. #EvenEvilHasStandards
@ Amber Medellin
Like that makes it any better. Bullies are bullies! Racist or not🙄🙄🙄
I was crying :(
i know it's a movie but surely Sam should have left before Shelby finished the play and everyone started taking the mickey out of her. FAKE!
We cry because it was sad
I cry on this part.. they were so wrong
@lettucelive lol, no. I can't believe she just stands there and watches the whole thing without doing something
why the hell do these ppl think this is funny? it's so hurtful, it makes me sad. also during the movie, when sam hits her head on a locker, a guy nearby laughs. What the fuck? I felt so sorry for her.
I agree. No one would laugh at this in real life. Who makes fun of a teenager with a job??
kaféflickan låter så himla töntigt ;)
this is the best/worst part!
If they stared in Heather's, they all be dead
sad love movie and Hilary Duff stop bullying God bless
i want to know whats the song please
No way. Shelby your self is a vampire diary..like you are so unfortunat e by Sam .like aww. Poor Sam .☹️.
Poor Sam
