Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on all of these, Bob. I'm most excited to read Birnam Wood, Bournville, and The Story of the Forest. I've actually just picked up the first two from my library today ☺
I’ve only read two on the list Demon Copperhead Birnam Wood Loved them both. If anyone has read Birnam Wood , I highly recommend Deluge by Stephen Markley Several books on the list I want to read before the winner is announced. Thank you for this Bob ☘️👋🍀📕📖📚☕️💐
Currently reading Linda Grant's book. I too liked After Sappho. Wasn't too keen and dnf Tom Crewe. Demon Copperhead will be on all lists. Will be interesting to see what wins ❤
I wonder from the title of some of the books, for example, "Does Birnam Wood come to Dunsinane?" "How are the Cadburys connected to Bournville?" Perhaps I should read them to find out LOL
Thank your for sharing this...I had never heard of this award before and I'll be adding some of these titles to my TBR.
My pleasure! It’s such a fun list and I really enjoyed it!

Ah totally fair, and glad you liked the others! And delighted that Demon is getting all the love!
No such a thing as an English citizen. I found the New Life slow but good. Barbara Kingsolver's book is brilliant. Thanks...
Aha yes! And definitely! So glad to see love for The New Life and Demon!
