If they are fact checking during the debate it becomes about the moderator. It should be up to the people debating to fact check their opponent. That's the whole point of debate.

It is so obvious that Biden is declining mentally he should not be able to run for reelection. I wish we had different options but we don’t.
The show is paid in part by the Democrats, thats the only reason they're still on the air.

There should be a debate, but with set rules BOTH candidates have to follow. Trump performs like he's back on his reality show. That's fine for his show but not a formal debate. They should have to stay at their podiums and stop talking when their time is up. They are both given time for rebuttals but not when the other person is speaking. On the spot fact checking is absolutely necessary. Even a person with the best intentions can mispeak or get information mixed up. Then again, some people have alternate facts they hope they can slip in without getting caught. Putting them in boothes is extreme and would take away from the debate. As an alternative, I suggest an usher or two in the background to quietly guide the debaters back to their podium should they get caught up in the moment. The moderator should be able to cut off a debater's microphone should they exceed their time or try to interrupt their opponent. I would hope TASERS would not be necessary, but might make for a fun evening.
